Excellent food — but service is poor. Took a table of six with nearly an empty restaurant more than 2 hours for lunch. If your looking for good food and hours to burn, try this place…

This place is a gem! Brunch was terrific. The prices were very affordable considering most of Miami Beach is extremely over priced. Strong coffee with citrus notes, $ 7 mimosas!, large portions, and a extremely friendly staff.

This place was amazing! Had the sautéed calamari appetizer which was so good! Manager Ryan was very welcoming and checked in several times to ensure experience was great. And the servers Taki and Meriam were wonderful. Will be back to try the breakfast…

Great for brunch and the mimosas are perfect! My breakfast didn’t knock my socks off, but it was good. Easy to walk to on Collins, close to hotels. Cool ambiance and really nice staff!

Amazing service, food and also value. The appetizers were all great, empanadas stood out with their special sauce. Really loved their fresh fish special. Local Miami fish. Also recommend the chopped salad with delicious green goddess sauce.

One of the best brunch places in Miami! Wendy was our server and she was so sweet, attentive and funny. Make sure to ask for her. I ordered the pancakes, potatoes and egg whites. All so good. My girls got the burger, caprese panini with chicken and one with bacon. The burger was very well done and super good. There were a few misunderstandings with the burger order but, mike and Wendy took care of it. The staff at tavern truly care about their customers and work very hard to maintain great customer service. I will be returning here again!

So here’s the deal: service kinda sucks, bread shouldn’t be served, but the entrees are pretty damn tasty. We stayed at the Croydon the past couple of days and have enjoyed our stay and it’s nice to have a great restaurant so conveniently located. We went to the restaurant three times: dinner, breakfast and drinks. Dinner — our waiter seemed annoyed that we were there. Not too nice. The bread was rock solid– to the point where it really shouldn’t have been served. Who am I to complain about free bread? Seriously though, don’t tantalize us if you’re just serving us objects better used for frisbee on the beach. Dinner entrees were superb. I had a chicken special that was some of the best chicken I’ve ever eaten. Dessert was tasty as well. Breakfast — bread basket. Again. What a waste. The little baby chocolate croissant was so hard and downright inedible it would’ve been better suited as a rock on the beach. I could’ve busted a hole through the glass if I had thrown it… gently. Breakfast foods were pretty good. Not the best I’ve ever had and kind of expensive, but definitely not bad. Our waitress in the morning was sweet and definitely the best of the three we dealt with. Drinks — the bartender was busy. She obviously had a lot going on, but that doesn’t mean that you should just skip out on pouring alcohol in drinks and ignore your guests. At $ 10 for a well drink that is clearly just cranberry juice, you shouldn’t question the customer when they just ask. She was really, really unpleasant and we just paid for our juice and went elsewhere. So there you have it. The Tavern.

Stopped for breakfast and I t was delicious! Janice our server was great! Got to learn a bit about her cool tattoos. Frederick(restaurant manager) was also great! He was helping us with changing the channel of the TV facing us so we can watch the football game that was playing at the bar area. Staff was great and very hospitable. Will definitely come again!

You see it from the road, and it looks great. Inside is as nice. Really cool art-deco motif. We sat in the bar, my wife’s a barfly, and listened to Nick’s recommendations. Split a quinoa salad and a cheeseburger. Both were excellent. We will be back.

So sad I didn’t find this place sooner! Everything I ordered was stellar! We had: –Wings: super amazing, crunchy, flavorful! –the hangover burger: amazing flavor, cooked perfectly, feeds a couple people –the Cuban sandwich: very warm, melty, and meat was chopped(pulled) perfectly to where it blended together just right… I am so so devastated we found the tavern on our LASTNIGHTHERE! I can’t say enough good things, amazing atmosphere, service, and food… Our server is extremely knowledgeable and courteous, not to mention quick… And it’s only 2 blocks from our hotel! Thank you tavern! We’ll be back!

Great food and a good variety for families to choose from. The servings size were perfect for our teenage son:) The meals were good. A great meal that is not the typical over-priced and little serving seen in Miami. For those traveling with families that want a selection, good food and not leave broke this is a good place to add to your list. We headed in on Christmas Eve and the restaurant was VERY busy. I felt bad for the one server. He was smiley and as attentive as he could be with the amount of tables he was serving. I was actually amazed by his ability to stay calm and keep going. Again, Christmas Eve so I can only imaging that they were working shorthanded.

Miami resident. Eaten here a few times over the last few weeks. Always wonderful. The service is pleasant, prompt, and personable. The art is perfectly miami. Just tried the short ribs. Amazing. Tender as hell… unexpected. Glad Fred recommended it. My go to dish there now. Miami is full of overpriced sub par food. Not here. Perfect for what you get. Guess there’s a happy hour, I’ll edit once I try that out next week.

Fun atmosphere. Great affordable, low key menu. We had the Juicy Lucy burger and it was a sizable portion. Cooked to perfection. Also tried the chicken tacos appetizer. It was more than enough food to be an entrée. Service was a little slow, but we’ll chalk that up to the laid-back Miami lifestyle. We would make a return trip.

I was waiting around for a friend when I realized I was hungry so I was excited to see this cute little place downstairs of the Croydon hotel. The restaurant takes up what seems to be the front of the hotel and the entrance to the actual hotel is on the side of the building. The décor outside with the canopy and the lighting gave it a European look. We were seated outside as inside is quite small so it was full. Since it was a windy night, I noticed they hold the table mats down to the table with clips which I appreciated. Usually places just have things flying everywhere. The food took rather long to come out. When it did, the fries were somewhat cold so I don’t know if they had my food waiting to come out with my boyfriend’s food. With my first bite into the chicken fingers, I knew they weren’t fresh. They tasted and looked like chicken fingers you might get in the frozen aisle at a supermarket and microwaved them. It wasn’t crispy and the chicken tasted blah with no flavor. I ate one but I just couldn’t get through 3 more. My boyfriend notified what seemed to be the manager on duty and shes replied«oh, any reason why you don’t like it». I said«it taste like cheap chicken from the freezer» and she just said oh and took it away. She did not disagree or apologize. However, she did offer to get me something else which I didn’t take. Once the check came, the chicken fingers were still on the check, of course. We let the waiter know and he said he wasn’t made aware but he will take it off with no problem. Our waiter was nice and the manager on duty could have provided better service. My boyfriend said his burger was ok but nothing amazing to come back for. Food could be way better. I don’t know about parking for this place as I parked on the side street. They had a bar inside which is probably better but I wouldn’t suggest coming here for food. There is a Carrabbas across the street that you are probably better off having if your staying in the hotel or area.

Great ambience, great service, great management. Very professional approach especially from the manager. He went through the entire menu in order to make sure that I got the perfect choice. Constantly my table was checked by a server. Absolutely going back there to taste that snapper again!
