TGI Friday’s

The common denominator or factor in all the TGIF restaurants in South Florida (and perhaps all over the Usa) is that they are cheap! What do I mean? What it is its that every time I order a meal there in any of their restaurants in this geographical area I mentioned the size of the portions are ridiculously small, the meat, the sides, the whole plate. And to ad insult to injury the customer service there was always the worse (specially the one in south beach, ocean dr and fifth) Rude waiters, rude bartenders, long loong waiting times, cheap food and expensive prices are what you are gonna find here. Have you seen the movie «Waiting»? Well that’s what you should expect if you come here. Tonight I came to eat at the one in south beach (against my own will, but they were the only one opened that were close to my home at midnight) and hoping that things have changed for the better, but boy was I wrong. I order a Turkey burger that even McDonald’s would surpass n size, quality and flavor, the bartender was a Cuban middle aged man rude as hell and the draft beer was heavily water down, America stay away from Tgif’s because that same characteristics of this place i found in the dolphin mall location and also in ft lauderdale.

I do not have complains about food, it was great but service, one of the worst I ever had. I had a very good day and was really happy for all day long until, my server took our order and forgot about the appetizer. Her name was SABINE, she brought my appetizer after my meal was almost done, it did not stop here, we wanted to split the check according to what we ordered she said she could not do it.
I was surprised, well ok I gave her my card and asked her to charge it then she comes back at me saying this is the suggested gratuity, and stood there to watch me tip her. I bet she thought I look Hispanic so I am not going to tip. I was really offended and mad I asked for a manager, well manager did nothing, said sorry and walked away.
I was in my vacation this server ruined my day. I was pretty exited and happy all day after Argentina won the game today. I am still mad and felt really helpless. I know how servers works hard so I still tipped her $ 6 which was like 8% of total check. Never ever again in TGIF in Miami Beach. If u do not look like a white guy plz don’t sit in her section. Other than her every one in staff seemed nice and friendly because we were greatest at the door, sat us pretty quick and host even thanked us for our visit.

Our first night in Miami we decided to check out south beach and eat at this Fridays. We waited near an hour to be seated and it was so noisy. Granted it was spring break and south beach but still. We had a slow server who messed up every single order because he didn’t write down a damn thing !!! We didn’t even get to explore south beach because it was late and dark by the time we had eaten. My boyfriend even went up and told the manager how disgusted we were with our service but he offered no amends. Very disappointed.

If your in a hurry this is NOT the place to go. We had to wait 5 minutes to be seated. We watched several waiters pass us by while we were waiting to be served. Our server was EXTREMELY slow. She treated us as if we were not important. VERY few waiters/​waitresses were actually engaged in their job. Once again, this is Not the place to go. That location gives TGI Friday’s a bad name.

This TGI Fridays is very dirty, dingy and has terrible service. We are on vacation and went there for lunch as we have been to other Fridays in the past and enjoyed them. Our waiter was in a mood as he walked up to us and said «what do you want“‘ they obviously have no manager or guidance on site. We sat out on the patio and after I saw the filthy inside when I used the washroom I was sorry I ate there. My husband ate the pecan crusted chicken salad and said it tasted mushy and terrible. One of our friends ate it and got sick to her stomach. Whoever runs TGI Fridays needs to do some intervention immediately. We have eaten at the federal highway location in Pompano Beach and always had good experiences. Our advice, stay away from the South Beach location at all costs.
