This is your usual restaurant on Lincoln road. Get in, serve food now pay and get out. The sushi and tempura was good, drinks good. But since I was there last, 2 years ago, the menu was cut in half. They used to have great hot dishes. The whole Lincoln road experience has gone downhill! It’s turning into the 42nd street of the 1970’s.

Sushi Samba has a vegan menu and it’s awesome! I got a mushroom tofu dish which was delicious and eggplant skewers on a bed of Peruvian corn – sooo good! Our server was great, nice ambiance. Kudos to sushi samba for catering to vegans!

underwhelming service, underwhelming food, underwhelming drinks. Needless to say, a very underwhelming experience. The taquitos were very good. It’s not fair to compare places with Seaspice, but after that experience there, this place fell very flat. A lot of beggars/bums and flies outside. I recommend sitting inside for a more peaceful meal.

I had dinner here last night, and as I recall it was a regular experience, the sushi was not bad or good, nothing to stand by, the only thing I found delicious was the jumbo shrimp ceviche with to tostones as chips, beer was cold, even though they didn’t have at the moment the beer I was craving some Brazilian beer, the service was ok, need some improvement on that too.

Yes this place is a bit of a tourist trap considering it’s location but the SushiSamba name is a name that I have learned to trust. I’ve had great experiences in multiple cities and I believe this location is close to the level of other locations nationally. The ambiance and service of this place is quite great. Great music, great lighting and great presentation. As far as food goes, yes there is better sushi and to be had but this place definitely does the trick. A latin/asian fusion concept is a great one, a must try!

Good quality considering is right in the middle of the multiple tourist traps of Lincoln Rf. The service is mediocre but the food is actually decent(although not cheap nor abundant) The ceviches are always good and really fresh. The tempura is fantastic. Not in love with their dumplings, they were below average and you can get frozen ones from publix or wholefoods with more flavour than these. Nice option if you want to avoid the mediocrity of most Lincoln Rd restaurants.

I thought the sushi was good but not great. It’s not somewhere I ever care to come back to. The server was short when asking her questions regarding the menu and was pretty rude. I did like the location of the restaurant, it is great for people watching. The restaurant itself was noisy inside making it difficult to have a conversation.

WOW. And not in a good way. After experiencing a 5 star experience at their Las Vegas location, we thought it was a must to stop here during our visit to Miami Beach. But this time, the experience was horrible and we left there feeling like we’d just threw our money down the drain. Now, some of the food was good — but for the price and the reputation, it just does not deserve anything higher than 1 star. We made reservations for 12 noon. Got there at 11:50am, and the hostess was outside at the podium. Without even greeting us she simply said, we do not open for another 10 minutes. Come back later. Ok. so we just walked around for 10 minutes and came back. We were seated a dinky round table for 2. Okay, if the restaurant was fully booked, then this would be understandable. But why was the party of 1 beside us seated at a 4 person table??? Made no sense to me. Our server came by to introduce himself, and asked if we wanted some water while we looked over our menus. 5 minutes later, a different server came over and told us she was our server, and asked us if we wanted some water. Confusion already, and I didn’t care for it. Our new server was not nice. She had no recommendations to give, wasn’t friendly at all and frankly just gave off a cold vibe. We ordered 5 dishes and the 9 piece chef choice sashimi. Nothing stood out as fantastic. Remember the dinky table I told you they seated us at? Well they brought out 2 dishes at a time, and I can tell you there was hardly any room at all on there for the dishes and our plates and cutlery and water. And what is the biggest abomination was they used dishes that were CHIPPEDONTHECORNERS! If you are going to charge $ 16USD for 2 skewers of cod, how can you do so on a chipped up plate? So disappointed. The plating was sloppy too. Zero excuse for this. The chef choice sashimi which cost $ 28 for 9 pieces/3 varieties. Well guess what. They gave us the 3 most common cuts. Salmon, lean tuna and yellowtail. I can get the same fish and quality at an all you can eat. Overall, the food was just ok, but the service and everything else to do with this place is terrible. I regret coming here so much, and all I can tell you is to stay away!

Wish I could give less than 1 star. Waited for an hour to be seated(even though we had reservations), spoke to the manager(Xavier) who apologized and said we would be taken care of(did not happen, we never saw the dude again), server never came to check on us, had to get up and grab people for water, soy sauce, place settings. Food is over priced, small potions, and is not that amazing. Also — this location is in the middle of an open air mall so the ambiance is not very intimate it is tacky.

I used to be a regular to sushi Samba many moons ago and after not coming back for years, now i remember why i stopped going. Food is mediocre at best. I took a friend there yesterday for her Birthday and i was dissapointed, and so was she. She insisted we went there because we were close but now we know better. Service was nice and friendly, our waitress was kind enough to take back a dish we did not like, we ordered a bunch of dishes and most of them were just OK. Nothing special, nothing fantastic. With so many good sushi restaurants in Miami, i’d skip this one. Never again.

Need to get order a sushi boat to go for a client lunch at the office today. Called yesterday and spoke with Maria the manger. She was so helpful. Not being a sushi fan I had no idea what to get. She sent me an email with ideas and was kind enough to follow up with me last night. Picked up everything today at 11:30 and had everything ready when the clients arrived. They all raved about it, the best, freshest sushi ever! AWESOME! Thanks again Maria

Excellent! But not your typical sushi place if that’s what you’re looking for. It’s a fusion of several types of cuisine… all delicious! We tried to get a bit of everything. Started with a couple fun cocktails. I forget their names, but essentially they were the cucumber and lychee martinis. Both were excellent, with the lychee being slightly sweeter. Started with yellowtail taquitos. Which we may have overlooked entirely. Thank goodness our waiter made sure that was not the case! I saw the word taquitos and skipped right over it. Don’t do that! They are small chunks of raw yellowtail in a yummy sauce over a small bit of avocado or guacamole. Lightly topped with shredded radish in a fried wonton shell that’s folded into the shape of a taco. Light and delicious! Next were waygu gyoza. Presented beautifully with a smear of a delicious dip and edible flowers. Highly recommend. We followed those with sea bass skewers atop a bed of Peruvian corn. The sea bass is covered in a sweet miso glaze and is heaven in your mouth! The corn is unique. Larger kernels than our norm. Very starchy. Somewhat bland I found. But still a dish I recommend. Tuna ceviche. With grapefruit, red onions, tomatoes and coconut milk if I remember correctly. Unusual. Excellent. Finally the umami roll. Another waygu item. This one is a shrimp tempura roll topped with the beef. It was good. Of everything we had, least special. Would definitely return. We had excellent service. Right up until it came time to pay the check. That took awhile. Still four stars.

Enjoyed myself here quite a bit. Great mixture of maki rolls, nigiri, appetizers and the like. Service was prompt and attentive and food presentation was nice too. Found that the food took quite a bit longer than expected seeing as it was later in the day and lunch hour had well past. Would definitely return. Thumbs up

The Miami Beach location of this fusion sushi chain is on the Lincoln Road mall. They have some good vegetarian selections as well as a vegan menu if you ask. It’s a nice area to eat alfresco and people watch. Prices are a little high, but vegetarian sushi is rarely a good value. I recommend the otsumami trio of appetizers — all good. The fusion sashimi tiradito dishes was very tasty. The sashimi is good but not the best my wife has had. However, the sauce that was served with the sashimi was amazing and is what makes the dish. The chicharron calamari was also very good with a very flavorful batter that had a different twist from the usual batter fried calamari.

THEWORST what is service? What is presentation? Don’t go looking for it at Sushi samba. If you want to command these prices which I’m happy to pay provide the service and experience. Samba 101. Sushi should not hit the table without soy sauce. Get it together. Don’t know how you’ve lasted so long.

If you’re looking for authentic sushi, this is not the place. The food here is very Japanese fusion. Sushi rolls are small and the size of the rolls itself is also miniscule with little rice and little filling. They have a display of dead fish over ice by the sushi bar. I sat next to the sushi bar and it smelled like I was at fish market. I do like the ambience of the SushiSamba. I came here for dinner and there was a live DJ. It’s definitely a lounge atmosphere.

Fun atmosphere, exotic dishes(Brazil + Asian. what do you expect?), decent prices, very good service. My boyfriend and I went to Sushisamba last night for a Sushi & Caipirinha class along with another couple, and all I can say is WOW! From the manager, George, to the bartender, Maria, to the sushi ninja, Shoyo, everyone was so friendly, accommodating, engaging. I was completely floored. This class was great — we started at the bar where George himself taught us how to make a classic caipirinha. We were then able to make our own cocktails — they provided blackberries, lychees, and watermelons in the event we wanted to «fancify» our caipirinhas. I decided to make a blackberry one, and it was delicious! So refreshing and perfect for the summer. They brought out some edamame, tempura fried green beans with a truffle aioli, and shishito peppers(my fave!). Everything was great — the aioli was on point, perfect hint of savory truffle. They then moved us to a bar, where we got one-on-one face time with Shoyo(or ShoyoSan), who taught each of us how to make traditional sushi — from forming the rice to the dab of wasabi underneath the fish, to then forming the fish and the rice together. He also taught us how to make rolls, and I even got to make a hand roll. He was very patient with each of us, very detailed, and cracked a few jokes. You could tell he was truly in his element. After each of us had made two items, we then sat back down, and he worked his magic AGAIN! He made us more sushi and more rolls. All of the sushi and ingredients were super fresh. The yellowtail, especially, was like butter — melted in my mouth! This was truly a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend to all the UrbanDaddy subscribers out there. If you see this class pop up at SushiSamba, don’t hesitate. You won’t regret it!

I had a wonderful experience as a new yorker here at the MIA location. The décor is inviting, modern, and sheek. It was very easy to get a table, you can either sit indoors or outdoors and they don’t take reservations, its first come first serve. The waiter we had was very friendly, he showed us all the specials and went over the whole menu with us, they have plates for two or small tapas style plates. The cuisine here is a fusion of Japanese and Brazilian, so the menu was very unique. The best items on the menu include the yellowtail taquitos, sweet corn, gyoza, and calamari along with the assorted vegetable tempura. of course with any great detail you need a good cocktail, and they always have good cocktails in the sambahour for only 7 bucks, and for the week that soccer was on, they had colombian style cocktails for only 5 bucks [the raspberry was phenomenal, it has a sweetness due to the purée]. as far as the rolls go, they are a huge hit as they are fresh and huge in quantity, it is worth the 15 bucks, one roll alone will probably fill you up. my favorites include the shrimp tempura roll, umami with beef and shrimp, pacific with king crab and asian pear, and sasa which is a handroll with quinoa and shrimp tempura. the fish was fresh and the rolls didnt fall apart, and the flavors worked very well together. there are also good dishes for sashimi and raw bar others, or if you want meat there is braised short ribs for 30 bucks or chicken teryaki with huge juicy pieces and plenty of purple mash large enough to split for two for 25 under the large plates menu. the side menu is very extensive, from sweet plantains beans, salads, collard greens, purple mash, coconut rice or peruvian corn. if you want to do a five or seven course meal, you can opt for omakase which has both jap and braziiian meals, so you get the best of both worlds and yes this place is vegetarian friendly with options such as cucumber, avocado, sweet potato, mushroom and asparagus rolls for only 5 bucks. i loved how the food came out fast and was good in terms of portions and presentation, i love the creativity in this place, and ps they have a brunch menu ^_^

So I had some business colleagues visiting and they wanted to have dinner somewhere fun and very Miami beach. I don’t usually dine on Lincoln road because its too touristy but this place is still so much fun and loud and quirky and the food is really decent. I love the Japanese, Brazilian, Peruvian flavored and while I love food from all 3 of those cuisines, to me only the Peruvian is good. The sushi while featuring all kinds of combos and layers looses flavor in being too ambitious. I had a lobster mango sushi with about 4 other layers, I really couldn’t tell what I was eating and the lobster was not fresh, and it was expensive. Some of the Brazilian meat dishes are tasty. But nothing overwhelms. The ceviche is fancy and also expensive but it is innovative and the fish is fresh. The drinks are fun, also a hit over the top. The mora negra has always been a fave for me with fresh muddled blackberries. Now on to the scene … Awesome people watching, really cute interior design, Dj spinning very funky tunes. If there’s any kind of soccer(futbol) tournament going on like copa America right now, this place is fun and features food and drink specials during games It’s overpriced and maybe a bit over the top but it’s fun and out of town guests will love it!

SWEETCORNKAKIAGE shichimi, black truffle sauce, and lime zest $ 12 is the only thing I want to order from this Lincoln Road/Miami Beach location. This deep fried mass of corn is incredibly delicious and so is the sauce. Unfortunately, the sushi is so so. Kinda basic. The rolls and rice were not memorable. We got sucked in by the orange umbrellas and pretty design. None of the Lincoln Road sushi places are great so far.

Atmosphere– fun and trendy Service– good Drinks: Passion fruit mojito-good Strawberry mojito– good Snow bunny sake– good Food: Yellowtail sashimi seviche– delicious Tuna sashimi seviche– good Sea bass antichucos– delicious! Crispy taquitos– delicious Spicy tuna roll– okay Salmon avocado roll– okay Shrimp tempura roll– okay Overall great for drinks and apps and small bites but the sushi here is barely just okay. Way too much rice around the rolls and not enough filling. The rice was also mushy like an overcooked jasmine rice in too much water. Sushi rice should be sticky and more put together. Sushi should also highlight what is in it and the favors should come together in different notes. Unfortunately I only tasted the 2 inches of mushy rice that rimmed the filling.

During one of my Business Ventures out in South Beach with one of my friends, we were on a hunt for a quick lunch spot. We were around a premier shopping and sight seeing area just off of Lincoln road and we ended up in a little out door strip mall. There was live music, vibrant energy and lots of places to eat. We were in the mood for Sushi so we decided to hit this place up not knowing anything about it. There was a lot of people around 2PM and I could tell that this place was popular. It was a sunny day and plenty of seating available inside and outside. Once you walk in you are blown away with the décor. They feature Brazilian music that compliments the South Beach atmosphere. The inside looks like an indoor lounge with a graffiti mural and theme across the wall. They have two spectacular full service bars at each end of the restaurant. What a great atmosphere this was! If you have time to kill, come here and relax. Have a drink and do some people watching! Lets talk about food though, after all this is a Sushi establishment. I ordered the Crispy Taquitos as a small plate on their menu. You have to order a minimum of two and the price was not on the menu, so it will be a surprise when you get the bill. It was really tasty, well seasoned and fresh. For the sushi I was stuck, everything was super pricey. We are taking about $ 14-$ 18 for 6 pieces of sushi. I tried their Kring Crab California, it was fresh and tasted good, yet I was sore at how expensive it was. I also had the Spicy tuna since it was simple and less pricey which was also good. Their spicy mayo hit the spot. Overall, I think this place is worth coming for the atmosphere and the experience. At least to try it once but not recurring. The sushi is not one of a kind although it does taste good and it is fresh. I feel like you can get similar sushi at better prices in Broward county. However, this is South Beach and you will pay a pretty penny in most places around this area so I guess the price is right. Food presentation is superb and you definitely get a feel that you are at a gourmet sushi establishment. This was a work lunch so did not have any drinks, they looked very appetizing as they left the bar though.

Fusion-Cuisine! Sehr angenehmes, leichtes Essen! See you in May!!!
