Made reservations for my daughter’s with bday. Very nice ambiance. The Diablo mussels are OK. The porter house is excellent! The filet is good but the porter house is better. The sides were decent. The asparagus was my favorite. The desserts were amazing. The expresso was good. The service and staff attention is exquisite. I just think I could have gone to Ruth’s Chris steak house and had a better steak and sides. I went to Red Steak house because of the ratings online.

I have been to Red twice — both for business dinners. I was really impressed with the service both times. They definitely go the extra effort which is great since the prices are very high. The food is pretty typical steakhouse food, but all well prepared and of high quality. A good choice for steak fans looking to celebrate.

The pasta and steaks are well done at this steakhouse, the lychee Martini is my favorite cocktail here… Great ambiance. Good place to have a dinner party or go on a date…

Last time I was here I believe I ordered the filet mignon Oscar style with a side of asparagus in hollandaise. My goodness it was DELICIOUS! Haven’t had one as good since! Be ready to drop some dolla dolla bills!

I loved everything about this steakhouse. The food, the beautiful dining area, the waiters, and did I mention the food?! Hands down the BEST steak I’ve ever had in my life. All of their cuts are certified angus beef prime! I went with a group of people and we all ordered sides to share. The mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, mushrooms, and greens were all just as tasty as the main entrée. Our waiter was also so nice and very helpful. He had a cute unusual name that I can’t believe I forgot but he was awesome! I would definitely come here if you don’t mind splurging on a great steak dinner! I’m sure everything else on their menu is just as good too but I am a steak lover so I had to go with the filet.

Sat at the bar for dinner, as I was in Miami for business alone. Wonderful, low key vibe. Was sticker shocked at the $ 16 Brussel Sprouts side dish, but I love them. Was impressed! My filet was perfectly cooked rare, tender, and delicious. I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Will definitely return on my next business trip.

Steak was decent. We ordered mac-n-cheese and that came out about 15 minutes after I finished my steak. Server was really snappy as if she didn’t want to be there. Would not go back. We had a private room and we over heard her say something about the people at our table.

What’s not to like? The quick review is that if you like steak and good wine, Red The Steakhouse will be a good night. The menu at Red is well-organized visually and full of great options. Appetizers(the foie gras is wonderful), steaks(in several different varieties), and creative sides, give you plenty to choose from and can keep you going back repeatedly even during one short trip to South Beach.(The sides are large — you can easily share with another person or two.) The service is attentive and professional, with a staff that is knowledgeable of the menu and how to present a meal properly. According to Wine Spectator, the wine list is one of the best in the state. I haven’t been to every restaurant in Florida, but it’s clear that Red has prepared its wine list to compliment the excellent steaks and other offerings on the menu. The wine list specializes in California wines, heavy on reds like cabernet that go well with steak. There are plenty of other wines to choose from, lots of whites and lots of international wines, but the best pairings for the very American style steaks is to choose one of the bolder Napa Valley cabernets that will balance the steak and muscle up to the flavorful side dishes. Gluten-free menus are necessary to me, and Red is very conscious of how to adapt dishes for all sorts of food allergies and sensitivities. Our server worked with me and the chef to adapt whatever I ordered for so that it was celiac-safe. On the dessert menu, the crème brûlée is gluten-free. I’m not a big crème brûlée fan, but this was easily the best crème brûlée I’ve ever had. The only minor issue with Red is that it’s popular. If you have a large group, reservations are a must for the weekends. If you haven’t made reservations, go to dinner early and you should be seated right away.

Amazing! It was so good! Our waiter new everything about all the items on the menu. I would totally recommend eating at RED. And the side dishes were so good, as well as the steak. They make everything in house. Everything. So you got to eat here.

I am going to begin by saying that they served us over cooked meat and slightly burned potatoes au gratin and I am still giving them four stars. We arrived 30 minutes early and they were quite busy since it was Dec 24. They didn’t even hesitate to sit us. One complaint is that the tables are quite close to each other to the point of which I knew what both couples on either side of us were talking about. The bread and cheese mixture was amazing. We had the calamari as an app. My fiancé and I are not generally big fans of calamari and were were amazed as to how good it was. My fiancé ordered a sample of scotch and she was nice enough to upgrade on of them for him for free. My cocktail was amazing but slightly over priced. But it is Miami beach. Don’t even look at the wine list if you aren’t willing to drop real dough. We both ordered 16oz boneless ribeyes cooked medium. They unfortunately came out well done. The potatoes were also over cooked. The waitress noticed that we weren’t really eating and she quickly came around and said«they are over done aren’t they?» She apologized and took everything off the table. Less than 10 minutes later we had some well cooked food on the table. The steaks were amazing and the potatoes au gratin were perfection. I also wanted to note we had three waiters all night and no one skipped a beat. We barely noticed. Afterwards they asked if we wanted dessert but were were stuffed. Well they offered to buy us dessert due to their prior mistake. We didn’t expect anything and have been to other steak houses that have made similar mistakes and weren’t as gracious. We are steak people and I can say we will be back. I would advise that they get rid of the tv’s as that takes the place down a level. But otherwise I can not complain too much. We spent a pretty penny and are looking forward to spending more there. Thank you reds for making our first Noche buena out amazing.

Have you ever had a waiter where you’ve questioned anything about meat and he knows every single answer their is?! RED is the google of meats, and as a restaurant you’ll only eat the best of the best. The best meat I’ve remembered eating before has been reconquered by RED. Beautiful place, professional staff and the food is just WOW! Ribeye Prime was my golden nugget for this evening. Served within minutes from ordered. Of course; after the burrata, sprout salad, and tasty bread with cheesy extra virgin olive oil dip. Yummyyyy! Simply fresh and rich in taste. Any of those is perfect to fresh-in’ up those taste buds. Once that ribeye arrived I attacked. My god! I’ve never had such juicy meat! So juicy like those bubblelicious squirt gums with the liquid inside… Yeah! But the adult version, MEAT! WOW! Tasty in perfect sense; slight burned grill flavour around the outside and bloody juicy red rich inside to get your buds jumping for more. I kept eating after I was full and I’m glad I did not stop. My family did order dessert. I did not open the dessert menu because that ribeye was just perfection. Until my weakness was ordered. Thai donuts, with salted caramel, raspberry, and chocolate dips. I ate two and sneaked the third and last one in. Delicious! The cheescake had an oreo like crust which my sister enjoyed very much too. Flawless experience and rich in every way. Worth paying every penny. Thanks dad!(Lol)

Dined at the bar Sunday, October 4th. We entered early in the evening(7pm) and were alone at the bar for nearly thirty minutes with few other guests in the restaurant. My friend is a regular guest at the bar so we were warmly greeted and entertained by the bartender. I found the menu to be full of variety for a steakhouse with plenty of vegetable sides, seafood, and vegetarian pasta dishes for all palates. We selected the tuna tartare and mussels diavolo for appetizers and loved the unique flavors of the tuna tartare(more tropical, not the typical soy sauce). For entrees, my friend ordered the pasta bolognese(personal favorite) and I ordered the salmon & lobster with pesto gnocchi featured dish. The chef was nice enough to alter the special to my extreme allergies by substituting the gnocchi for mixed vegetables. As a result, I dined on one of the most delectable meals in Miami and it turned my overall dining experience into one of the most delightful I have encountered in months. Throughout the entire evening, we enjoyed a few glasses of wine and after dinner cocktails, completing the evening on a high note. I found the wine list interesting enough to have another visit to sample further. Overall, Red The Steakhouse was an immensely enjoyable dining experience; one that I look forward to repeating on a regular basis.

I came to Red on Sunday night for a date and to take advantage of the wonderful Miami Spice menu. I ordered the petite filet mignon and my companion upgraded to a larger steak. The ambiance of the restaurant was perfect for intimate conversation and the dim lighting adds to the experience… You know you are in a nice restaurant. The food was perfectly coursed by our server, and my steak was cooked to perfection. It melted in my mouth. The desserts on the spice menu were a special treat, I ordered the pineapple upside down cake and my date go the coconut crème cake; both were beautiful and delicious. I would definitely return, the food, service and ambiance made it an incredible dining experience.

Came here with some friends for a miami spice night and we absolutely loved it! We did end up spending a little more than just the $ 39 because we had a few upgrades in our meals and a bottle of wine(which was amazing!) The Mac and cheese is to die for and one is enough for almost 6! The filet mignon was delicious and the shrimp appetizer could’ve been a lot better considering how good everything else was. The service was great and so was the atmosphere.

If are in South Florida and want a unique and tasteful steakhouse, you must visit RED. From the moment you walk in the host makes you feel welcomed, the waiters and staff are very professional and accommodating. We had filet steak, shrimp scampi with linguine and the crème Brulee is the best I have had anywhere. This place is pricey but worth the experience.

So far Red is first place for a 22oz Medium Rare Rib Eye for me. It was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The lobster mac was a great side to share. Truffle potatoes were devoured. Great portion size! The key lime pie, donuts, and cheesecake were yummy– not overwhelmingly sweet. Everything was delicious; the ambience was romantically dim with a wonderful wine display; their service was impeccable; and their bathroom was clean and extremely spacious that you could put a cot in there!

If anyone is considering a Miami spice menu tonight, then this is the place to try. I’m not going to go over the ambiance and the décor. So if you love Hardy food like I do you’ll be in heaven. I started off with the steak tartar which wasn’t filled with all the capers and egg like other restaurants, and it was the perfect individual size. For the main course I had the 5 oz filet mignon with baked potato, and let me tell you! It melted in your mouth with the perfect seasoning. For dessert I couldn’t leave without trying the crème brûlée. Although it oddly came with a dab of ice cream on top I had to wipe it off before it ruined the whole plate. If your not a heavy eater like me then This is the PERFECT dinner. My boyfriend had the lobster tail with filet mignon and the lobster tail was well worth the size.

After eating here repeatedly, I almost feel like no review is needed. This is arguably the best steakhouse in Miami. possibly Florida. Perfectly prepared steaks and options of sauce(none needed, but only elevate the flavor). My favorite dish is the filet mignon with the diane sauce. And I always start with the«RED«House» Salad. Which consists of(I think) baby spinach/mixed greens, candied walnuts, goat cheese with s raspberry vinaigrette. Hands down the best salad I have ever had, and it’s just their house salad. I don’t know where they found their chefs or where they get their meat, but that place is magic! BESTSTEAKHOUSE-MUSTTRY!!! I plan to go again soon as I have given myself a craving writing this review… just need to Unilocal a good babysitter!

I’ve been to Red a handful of times. This is my second visit for Miami Spice. We were a group of 7 and were greated and seated promptly for a 8pm Saturday reaervation. My only issue with their Miami Spice menu is that it seems that they’re really pushing the upgrades which is understandable, they just want to get you in the door with the $ 39 special. If you do decide to go with the Miami Spice menu, the wait staff seems to be extremely annoyed and it shows through their service. That being said a little more effort could be put on their meat selection for the Miami Spice menu. I few of us went for the upgrade which was a 16oz ribeye which is always good anywhere you go. My girlfriend got the 5oz filet mignon. All the meats were cooked at the right temperature and came with a baked patatoe and broccoli. The fries we ordered came out tasting like yesterday’s fries and when we asked for a new batch, the waitress sent over the manager like it was a big deal. I didn’t ask for a manager, just new fries. Both the apetizer and dessert were okay. My personal opinion, I rather save the money on both and just order a really good steak and a side. Red is a good steakhouse but always be aware, you’re going to pay South Beach prices to dine and on cocktails or wines and that will always hike up the bill at least $ 100.

This was on the Miami Spice list of top restaurants for the value of what they are offering. The Miami Spice Menu has a great selection of meats, poultry, pork and pastas. They also offer upgrades to ever course offered. This was definitely a great menu. I opted for the Steak Tartare, Double Pork Chop and Chocolate Silk Pie and he chose the Burrata Salad and New York Strip, both dishes were upgrades, and for dessert he chose Apple Crisp. I couldn’t leave without trying their Lobster Mac & Cheese which was not part of the Spice menu, but figured why not. All of the dishes were amazing. Everything was cooked to perfection and I must say I was impressed with the Lobster Mac & Cheese. I was actually starting to think I no longer liked Mac & Cheese, but I stand corrected. The Mac & Cheese actually had a lot of lobster chunks and a creamy four cheese sauce. The service was also great and it is definitely a great value they are offering during Miami Spice.

We were in town for a friend’s bachelor party and he suggested coming to Red for dinner on our last night before flying home. We had a large party but making reservations was easy and they were accomodating when we asked to push back the dinner time. Arrived and were quickly seated. The waiter came out to greet us and took our drink orders within a few mins. He then brought out the warm bread along with the cheese oil. OMFG was that tasty!!! Knowing that this would be a heavy meal, our group of 9 shared a few salads just to say we had some greens. We ordered the RED house salad, tomato mozzarella, and the classic caesar. All were tasty but the tomato mozzarella took the prize. IIRC they slightly grilled the tomatoes which tasted heavenly with the fresh mozzarella. For my entrée, I ordered the bone-in ribeye which was cooked to a perfect rare. The way a restaurant cooks a steak is a true testament of whether or not they are legit. In this case, Red did not disappoint. I also ordered a side of the bearnaise which was tasty. As for the sides, we ordered a bunch which turned out to be way too much. First side that the bachelor wanted was their lobster mac n cheese. In my opinion the roux was too starchy and didn’t have much of a cheesy taste. Another negative point was that both of the mac n cheeses tasted fishy which was due to the lobster we added. Pretty disappointing side in my opinion. The waiter should’ve also mentioned how big this side was as one was probably enough to feed all 9 of us. We ended up leaving about an order of the mac n cheese on the table…$ 54 wasted. The creamed spinach was super tasty and I’ll have to admit is probably one of the best I’ve had. The sauteed broccoli didn’t seem to have been sauteed but looked and tasted like it was steamed or boiled. The parmesan tater tots was another disappointment and would not recommend them. Surprisingly the guys still wanted dessert though we left a lot of food behind. The beignets were fluffy and came out hot. These guys paired nicely with the 3 sauces served alongside. What was super tasty was the fried pies. You get a peach and apple pie(both fried!!!) along with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Make sure to save room for the fried pies as they are that good! Now onto the reason as to why Red only gets 3 stars from me. First of all, the mac n cheese was super disappointing. Not only did the roux taste starchy but it was fishy. Secondly, when we ordered 7 cups of coffee, it came out tasting like a cup of regular coffee that was watered down to make 10 cups. I haven’t had a worse tasting cup in my life. Not only that but the creamer looked as if it had been watered down as well. Yes they did correct the problem by bringing us out espresso shots which did taste better but how a high end restaurant can try to skimp on coffee bewilders me.

Excelente restaurante! Vale a pena.

Being Argentinian, one of the types of food that I’m most picky about is meat. Fortunately, living in Miami Beach means never having to worry about finding good steak, as restaurants that specialize in this dish are quite abundant. From waterfront classics, to ritzy celebrity hot spots, you can say that the steak scene at the beach is pretty exciting. However, even though these Miami landmarks are known for the scene and the view, one player stands out from the crowd for focusing on one thing, and one thing only: the meat. Enter RED, the Steakhouse. This restaurant is one of the few in the US and the only one in Miami that can boast that all their cuts are Certified Angus Beef Prime(the highest quality of beef available) and in the 1.5% of the best meat in the country. Even though this South Beach high-end steakhouse has been around for more than 5 years, I just got a chance to try it recently, and oh boy, what a treat that was. There are several must-try dishes in their menu, in addition to the meat, and up next, I’ve narrowed it down to my favorite five: The Burratta and Heirloom Tomatoes salad makes a great choice to start the meal with. The burrata is one of the finest ones I’ve ever tasted, it spreads like butter over the tomatoes, and is drizzled with 25 year old, incredibly rich and sweet balsamic vinegar, which takes the dish to a whole new level. Even though RED prides itself on their steak, their seafood is also something to keep an eye on. In my case, I tried the Alaskan King Crab Cake, which had the biggest chunks of crab I’ve ever had in this type of dish. This item is only available during the short fresh king crab season, during which they fly it directly from Alaska, so take advantage of it while it lasts. Obviously, the meat had to make it on the list! The Rib Eye is slightly crispy on top and oh-so-tender inside that you can just practically slice it with the side of your fork. The chef also makes sure to prepare it as simple as possible, with just some fresh crack black pepper and kosher salt, allowing one to enjoy the full flavor of the meat without any distractions. The sides are also showstoppers, particularly the mac and cheese, which is made with not one, but six different types of cheese! Also, the local creamed corn with cornbread crumbs is an absolute masterpiece. Fresh corn shucked off the cob combined with sweet corm cream makes it a perfect steak house side dish. Last but not least, when it comes to dessert my favorite was the deconstructed key lime pie. It was the perfect balance of sweet and tart and a nice way to end the meal.

Where do I start… Can my experience be called, Organized Chaos ??? My girlfriend and I decided to have our anniversary dinner at RED. She absolutely loves this steakhouse and has been here many times, mainly with vendors and people from work. This was my first time coming here, and I had heard about the hype so I was really excited. We had reservations for 9PM, we called ahead because we were running late, we arrived at about 9:15 and at about 9:20 or so we were seated… Then we waited… waited and waited some more… A good 10 minutes had passed and we finally received our menus and water. We had seen the Miami spice menu online and elected to go that route, however upon receiving the menu we noticed that they switched it up a little bit. I guess the website had not been updated, they were going with an Asian theme. Then we started to play that little waiting game again… Waiting… Still waiting… Ahh finally some service!!! One of the managers I believe saw us and the look of hunger on my face and asked us if we had been help already… I kindly said that we had not, and he advised that he would be right back to take our order himself, and he did. We both ordered off the Miami spice menu, I have the filet mignon, and the tuna chips, along with the coconut cake. The gentleman brought us a mixture of there cheese spice with olive oil and these wonderful soft cube bread. Very Very Good! For the wait and lack of service he comped and order of fried calamari my girlfriend wanted. That was a very nice gesture on there half. Made up for the lack of attention we got. However, the waiting game continued… We asked for a second order of bread to get us by. To the restaurants defense they were slammed, the servers, waiters and managers were hustling all over the place helping out. Either they over booked reservations plus walk in’s or they were understaffed. First appetizer was the soy and chips which was thin sliced tuna(3) sliced thin like a pita chip with greens and sweet pepper. Tuna was really fresh and had a sprinkle of soy based dressing as did the salad with a tiny piece of dry onion on top. Over the portion was small but the flavor was good. Then came the filet… Ahh total disappointment. It was so small, in all honestly my beagle could have devoured it in one bite. The miniature filet it self was good but way to small for a meal let alone a main course. The sticky rice was very good. Moist yet with very good texture and it tasted very good. However, the sheer disappointment of the steak being so small just killed my mood for some reason. It was good it just needed to be bigger, I understand the concept of Miami Spice and you get bang for your buck with great quality food, but this was ridiculous. I guess the waiter noticed my disappointment and spoke to the manager again. They upgraded our dessert to one of there signature cherry cheesecakes. This by far was the best item I ate, by far! The flavor was amazing and the texture mixed with the substance of the Cherries and Chocolate paired extremely well. There was such a explosion of flavor that it almost made up for the doggy treat size filet. All in all I was very impressed with the management sweating and running from one side to another serving and seating customers. No one was slacking they were busy. They also comped the calamari and dessert, but the wait time was very long 2 hours from sit to finish is very long for dinner, and the entrée was just a disappointment, don’t offer that on your menu because although it tasted good all 1 bite of it, it was just way to small to be considered an entrée let alone the center piece of your meal.
