Mr Chows is my favorite restaurant ever and I am so happy it’s in SoBe. Some of the best Chinese food you can get. The sea bass just melts in your mouth and the service is always up to par. Would recommend to anyone.

The 2.5 stars option wasn’t available so I rounded up. My first time here with my girlfriend tonight for a friends birthday. The staff was friendly and greeted you at every corner, wish there food was as good. We got the pre-fixed $ 74 menu option for each of us and lets just say it was comparable to a Chinese buffet in Vegas. I guess when you present a great ambience you are allowed to slack off on the food and over charge. Very disappointed especially with W behind its name

We had an amazing meal! Loved the crispy fried duck and 4 color cauliflower. Service was great. Try the Jalisco cocktail, spicy and delicious. We loved the drunken fish. The fried rice was not salted or drenched in sauce, very refreshing and healthy. I would definitely recommend.

So we were trying to find a modern yummy place to eat and celebrate for a bachelorette dinner. The problem we were having was finding a place that didn’t make us leave a deposit and would allow us to order from the full menu and not have a preset menu. So Mr. Chow told us that they could absolutely do that for us. Because they promised us this we made our reservations there. They completely lied to us. They made us have a preset menu and every girl had to pay the same price no matter what they wanted to order. This was a big issue for some because they were on a budget but wanted to be at the bachelorette dinner to support their friend. The lie they told us Is so unacceptable and how unapologetic they were about it was shocking. This was a total bait and switch. Then the table they gave us was directly in the path of all the wait staff so we all kept getting«bumped» by all the staff as they continuously went back and forth and back and forth. Not one of them apologized or said excuse me either. I would absolutely never go back here. There are way too many hot spots in Miami that are delicious to waste your money here.

Wow! Amazing dinner for our last night in Miami! Service is top notch food and drinks are amazing as well. They play really good music(Rihanna drake easy e) that makes it seem not so stuffy. Like an upscale restaurant with a poppin fun vibe! We ordered the Mr. Chow 2 course meal came with two apps and two main courses. Perfection! We got the prawns with candied walnuts and the steamed scallops and the lobster and sea bass for courses. All were beyond amazing. Finished off with the key lime pie dessert and espresso martini. Did I say perfection already?

I’ve been to Mr. Chows a handful of times in the past and always remember it being out of this world. It’s been a good ¾ years that I haven’t been back and one Friday night with my boyfriend we wanted something different. So I suggested Mr. Chows knowing my bf had never been and honestly I have to admit I was a little disappointed with the food. Service was amazing, as usual. But the food wasn’t too great… I’ve always bragged about the chicken satay and it was so chewy and bland. The Glazed Prawns with Walnuts was deeply fried, you could taste the friedness in it. wasn’t fresh. Atleast our cocktails were what got me through the dinner. I ordered the lychee martini which was made perfect and my bf ordered the old fashion. The ambiance + the service is what really deserves the 3 stars.

I’ve eaten here three times. It’s much better if you go early before it gets crowded and super loud. Eating here later is just murder because of the tight tables, decreased service, and noise levels. It’s basically overpriced Chinese food, but it can be a nice change of pace every once in a while. There are a few good things on the menu, I really like the fish dumplings. There is a chicken dish I ordered that was supposed to be spicy but wasn’t. The pork dish was basically sweet and sour pork(«„„„Expensive Edition“““»). They really try to push the booze to rack up the bill, offering you champagne as soon as you sit and trying to keep the liquor flowing all night, but I can’t blame them for that. I saw some complaints about the portion sizes. They are on the smaller side, especially for the cost — but really I would prefer to have smaller portions and eat a wider variety of food. I didn’t leave hungry, that’s for sure. If anything ate a bit too much. So, the small sizes didn’t bother me. It probably doesn’t cost them that much more to put more on there, but when I go a nice restaurant I’m paying for quality rather than quantity — my gripe is that the food quality doesn’t match the prices, the quantity I’m okay with. So… I might be a pleb, but I don’t think it is that much better than PF Changs or similar. The atmosphere is nice if you go early, but, again, avoid this place when it is busy. I’m okay with spending a fair amount on dinner, but I want some kind of payoff for that — I think they could do a better job with the food.

Beautiful restaurant & fantastic service with mediocre & very overpriced food and LOUD music and ambiance. If you want an expensive, trendy«scene,» go right ahead and enjoy. The staff were wonderful. They helped us select vegan dishes and dishes that could be made vegan. But the vegan eaters and omnivores all found the food meh. And the prices are ridiculous. Highlight: A chef brought out dough and theatrically formed it into gorgeous noodles.

I’m giving this restaurant 2 stars due to the cool ambiance(2 stars), the food(4 stars) and the service(0 stars), so I can’t recommend eating here. We sat down(party of 8) at 8pm. We were given drink menus and half of our table had their drink order taken… now, I do have to say that most of our party was 20 something girls who were all snap chatting, checking in and posting to social media, however that’s kind of the norm, especially here in Miami. At 9:00, we were irritated and stopping other waiters trying to get help so we could order. At 9:40 our dinner order was taken… yes, 1hr, 40 minutes! Our dishes came our when they were ready, they weren’t explained, just dropped on the table. Given 3 of us ordered food for the whole table, it was confusing to everyone else. We order one of the tasting options. 3 of the 8 wanted the duck prix fixe($ 65), while the rest of the table didn’t wanted the Mr. Chow($ 58 + $ 5 surcharge for $ 63). Our waiter refused to let the three of us order the duck, even though the menu says«minimum 3 people» and the rest of the table was order prix fixe anyway. Instead, he ordered us the duck dish by itself($ 40), it was half of a roast duck, not the whole bird. Let’s see, 8 people x $ 2 surcharge is $ 16 for a whole duck for the entire table vs. $ 40 for half a duck for 3 people??? You can tell the waiter was taking advantage of our group’s size and irritability and wanting to just get food on the table. Without the menu still in front of us, we took his advice in the confusion of ordering. The noodle making show in the middle of the room is great… if you had food infront of you. But when your table has been waiting for over an hour and the waiters all stop to watch a noodle making show, it’s only rubbing salt in the wound; food you can’t have while your waiters watch a show for entertainment and ignore you even more. Dinner with alcohol was almost $ 1,000. We all left hungry and annoyed and all vowed to never return… it should also be noted that I was the only local, the other 7 were from Toronto, in town for a conference and Mr. Chows was their favorite, always their group dinner before they would leave town. As long as the current level of service continues here, you should avoid it and just get take out chinese somewhere local.

Mr. Chow is a beautiful restaurant, very chic with a great ambiance. One of their chef’s even comes out and does a small show with the pasta which was very cool! The service was good, the service assistance and waiters all help each other out which creates a speedy service. Unfortunately, we ended up with an inattentive waiter who simply took our order and brought the check so not much to say about him. The one thing I didn’t like about the restaurant was how its tables are set-up. You are literally a foot away from other tables which takes away any romance or privacy completely. so why the 3 stars? Mostly because I was unimpressed with the food. It is simply average at most, similar to PF Chang but double the price. My gf and I tried the following: Glazed prawns– probably the best thing we tried, large and very tasty. Vermicelli with lobster– waiter did not mention it was spicy and completely overpowered the bacon-bit sized lobster pieces. Seabass– practically tasteless and a bit dry unless you drown it in the sauce. Fiery beef– tender, cooked medium well and good taste. All in all you are paying top price for the name not the food.

The food was good. But that’s it. Nothing spatacular, and definitely not worth the price. This place participates in the Miami Spice menu, which is basically a discount on meals from August to September. Unfortunately, when we went we forgot to ask for the Miami Spice menu and it ended up costing us a couple hundred dollars more.

I had a date with a German guy back in December and needed to write a review about this place. Great décor and classy. But, Worse Chinese food i ever had. A guy that is trying to impress a Chinese foodie girl to this ripoff place will not end up with a second date LOL. The guy didn’t know better to check Unilocal before coming here. Since it was a fancy place thought he got a star. Obviously, its the W hotel not! Don’t go by that… Seriously for that kind of price, not that I paid and will not come back, please take me to Zuma instead where you will get quality food in a fancy location.

Absolutely horrendous. Below average Chinese food in a fancy setting. Waiters will upsell from the moment you sit down. I have no issues paying for good food, service and ambiance. Mr. Chow’s is everything but that. This is my first visit to a Mr. Chow. Dont think I will ever visit another again. Reviews at the Miami location is also very similar to NY location. So guessing this is how they operate. Not cool, Mr. Chow.

Was für Preise!!!

Service, fantastic. A hundred waiters waiting on you hand and foot. Food, hilariously bad. Lobster Shumai was lukewarm and had been reheated or something — the dumplings disintegrated when you tried to pick them up. They were all stuck to a sheet of grey-brown lettuce on the bottom. Like a traditional dumpling presentation, but interpreted loosely by a stoned chef who accidentally dropped all his vegetables in a vat of oil. Nothing remotely fresh about it. The crispy beef was oily, undercooked, haphazardly plated, and somehow, $ 40. I’m no critic of a well-presented, and expensive, small plate. This was not that. This was downright gross. The W should stop sending their guests to Mr Chow. It cheapens the entire W experience.

We’ve been to the LA location but this is by far our favorite and prettiest location. Food and service was outstanding!!! This is our second visit in the last four days because the food and staff were so outsanding. Glazed prawns, satay chicken, Beijing chicken, and fiery beef were so delicious, we couldn’t get enough! Our captain Bojan, Edgar and Lito who served us were so wonderful and had such an awesome personalities. We will definitely be returning on future visits.
