(My wife decided to write this review) First off, there isn’t a fly in my Chardonnay because there was none. Come on, this is the United States where Chardonnay reigns. The waiter who granted, was actually quite charismatic said they ran out at 900. So Sauvignon Blanc it is. Appetizers salty and bland. The pasta was acceptable. I’m uncertain about the homemade part. Salmon was supposed to be medium rare but came well done. Dinner overall was un satisfying. I would not recommend this restaurant unless you are desperate and starving like we were

Exceptional food and fair prices. The service was somewhat uneven. As it got busier the helpful and friendly wait staff increasingly had to be reminded of our requests, but over all we plan on going back.

Definitely won’t be returning here for numerous reasons. The ambience of this place was dreadful. Should’ve walked away when we saw no one in here and when the waiter didn’t know what ‘cocotte’ meant. They serve you free bruschetta: toasted day old bread with flavorless tomatoes. I had the eggplant with meatballs which was tasteless. I didn’t see any eggplant anywhere. And didn’t taste flavor in any bite. Furthermore each meatball was cooked rare. Since when are meatballs served rare? My husband ordered the baked veal. It came out greasy and fatty. The salad was bitter and no dressing was offered. Just annoyed we spent any time and money here. And no wonder it was empty. Should’ve walked out right then.

Went in here for an impromptu meal. Service was good. The waiter was very polite and accommodating. The tagliatelle dish was excellent. We tried the spaghetti and meatballs, but it just didn’t taste good. We told the waiter we were ready for the check and he saw the full plate of spaghetti. He asked if we didn’t like it and after our response insisted he bring us a new dish to replace it. The food was cooked well, just wasn’t something we liked. Not every dish is going to be a hit and its great when a server goes above and beyond to make the experience more enjoyable.

Nothing special about this place. Food is below average. I ordered the Pasta with shrimp & zucchini & mussels: first they didn’t have any mussels! second the dish is tasteless! The dish is made from canned & frozen ingredients! not what i want to eat when i go out. I look for restaurants with quality & tasty food. I could cook much better dish at home with frozen ingredients! one waiter was working, and 2 managers sitting with friends on Saturday night. I personally don’t see this place existing in 6 month unless they do series changes to their menu & food quality. The only good thing was the service. I live in South Beach & I’m comparing this place to other quality restaurants where I used to eat, unfortunately nothing to compare. if you are from out of town maybe you will find it to be ok

Gold and Pepper takes Italian cuisine to new heights, handcrafting their pasta and working with natural ingredients to bring out new zesty flavors in most of their fillings. Visually, the dishes are beautiful gastronomical creations shimmering in 24 Karat gold. To seal the golden experience, the service is stellar, the wait staff is knowledgeable about wine and each item on the menu. I guess one can say, it adds the golden lining to the South Beach scene.

First, this place is small with limited wines by the glass. Second, the walls are painted a dark almost black-from ceilings to the floor making it a stale feeling-wanting to go to sleep or bad mood. Meatballs with eggplant dish was not good. I didn’t taste or see eggplant and meat had no flavor. When they delivered the food, black pepper or Parmesan was not offered. I had to flag them down for it. I won’t be returning

We tried this cozy, romantic, restaurant and I am glad that we did. This is the perfect place to impress a date. The food is really fresh. High quality but not really high prices. The menu has at least ten dishes that sounded great. I will definitely go back again soon. This is a local restaurant. Not a place for tourists.

Gold and Pepper Italian Cuisine is certainly one candidate for the world’s best Italian restaurants(located in ritzy South of Fifth) Their Freshly made Pasta are delicately light and so delicious: i would say it is literary an «orgasmic experience»

A friend of mine referred me to this place, so I had been wanting to go as soon as it opened. I was pleasantly surprised by the low-key relaxed atmosphere. I ordered their shrimp crusted salmon which was amazing, and accompanied that with a bottle of their Gewürztraminer which was refreshing and crisp-perfect with seafood. I would definitely recommend this place to friends, and am looking forward to my next date night there!
