Food was excellent and server friendly. Two MAJOR complaints: 1) website lists Cacciucco as the special menu item for Fridays. It is THE reason we came to the restaurant. This is not true; they don’t do this anymore. It takes 2-​seconds to update a website, they should invest the time.
2) As seems to happen very frequently on South Beach, we were overcharged — in this case, for a 2^nd bottle of wine when we’d ordered only one. The frequency with which this occurs in the area makes me think it’s not just an honest mistake
In short, Dei Frescobaldi does not appear to be interested in repeat business (I guess they can get away with the menu bait-​and-​switch & overcharging with tourists, though it makes our city look really bad). As a lifelong South Floridian, I can assure them that restaurants need us locals — especially during the summer months.

I don’t take the time to write reviews often but this place was good enough to warrant the time. Authentic staff from Italy, authentic décor, amazing food and great prices. The chef, the manager and the owner all came by to say hello. The two other reviews on here are correct. This is still a hidden gem. Already booked our return reservation.

Crusty bread, and the aforementioned Laudemio olive oil were just the start of an absolutely fabulous meal at Frescobaldi. Cheese platter and salumi platters for appetizers were lovely. We tried the veal cutlet (so light and not greasy), linguine (in a word, yum) and branzino (beautifully cooked). Save room for desserts — don’t miss the tiramisu. Terrific wine selection very reasonably priced. Our servers, Angela and Enrico were outstanding. Beautiful setting that I’m going to enjoy going back to, again and again!

I flew in from San Francisco last weekend and had such a good experience at this restaurant that I decided to sign up for Unilocal just to rave about it. Everything was northern Italian authentic and delicious. I’m looking forward to my next trip to Miami so I can go back to this restaurant. Actually was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had.

Great authentic Italian fare by one of the oldest wine families in Italy! Their wines and olive oil (Laudemio) are a must-​try!
