Definitely skip this place. Rude waitstaff, not good food, and a ton of happy hour rules– when we asked why our two happy hour mojitos(supposedly 50% off) and caprese(also supposedly 50% off) were $ 42, we were told that there’s only one happy hour special per table even when we asked if the caprese was also on special. The waiter and management were both super rude saying we should have read the fine print on the sandwich board… Happy hours shouldn’t require fine print. One promotion per table is not a happy hour. Such rude people.

Had dinner here, great outdoor seating near the fountains, makes for a nice evening with super nice background noise, and scenery of all the people walking along the mall area. The Food was great. I had a filet mignon dish, with rice. Had a cuban type of flare to it. Also had a house speciality cocktail similar to a cuban specialty drink. Service was very good, the 1 thing that kind of caught me off guard is they try to push their specials, which is pretty obvious they would do, they tend to be higher priced, the waiter seemed a little put off with me when I went with a menu option rather than the special, which was a little annoying to me, felt like a hard sales push went bad when I didn’t order what he was trying to sell me.

Our superb waiter, Riccardo, made our most recent visit to 920 Grill. He is a lovely guy and shared his extensive experiences in Miami, New York, and elsewhere in the restaurant scene since the 1979. A simply great guy. Oh, and the food. As always it was outstanding. My date had the char-grilled ½ chicken, and I had the always excellent Buenos Aires Steak Salad. More than we could eat, and delicious. Great atmosphere and wonderful people watching. Enjoy!

Agree with most other reviewers– this is a tourist trap. We were shown the menu and told all the happy hour deals, etc. Location is good– right in the middle of the action but service was slow and food very mediocre. I ordered chicken milanese– wasn’t asked about a side yet got fries. Last thing I would have chosen to be paired with what was basically your average fried chicken. Drinks were tasty, but everything was overpriced given the quality of product. They did add in gratuity but I didn’t see a separate tip line so wouldn’t have added an additional tip. The grat that they added was, incidentally, higher than I would have given based on quality of service, but I guess that’s how you guarantee your staff a certain wage. I would avoid. There are many other choices in Miami Beach.

Grilled seafood was very good and the Cuevas del Sur Merlot wine, a good choice. Our waiter was excellent, Vlady was knowleable, he was the Best, very professional and friendly. A nice evening, indeed.

SHOULDHAVECHECKEDREVIEWS!!! Tourist Trap reloaded… Went for dinner with my wife, ordered a jar of mojito a salad and a churrasco. Took forever for the waiter to serve us. Food was ok but when I asked for the check I got a big surprise. Instead of 28 dollars for the churrasco I was charged 60! The Italian waiter’s and Argentinian manager’s argument was that I was served a dish that wasn’t even in the menu. Of course an 18% Tip was added to the check that I could do nothing about. Be careful avoid this Restaurant. Service is really bad !!!

So the girl outside said c’mon in we have HALF priced specials it will be quick for take out. Then they go back on the special, and it took longer than a couple of minutes. Again looking for a tip for service, big fail.

Keeping it short, the service was spotty and shoddy(I write this as of twenty minutes into not being able to flag down our waiter, who has made eye contact with me numerous times), and the food I had(grilled calamari salad and a side of mashed potatoes) was undercooked and underseasoned both. Really a disappointing experience and I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody. Don’t waste your money or your time.

TOURISTTRAP!!! The food was just okay but not good. We had Sonia. Extremely nice and GREAT at her craft. I have been in sales before, she is the most skilled waitress I have ever seen. That being said, in my opinion, she borders on the unethical. I think the restaurant is likely fully complicit in the intentional strategies to hoodwink local tourists. Sonia’s English is fairly broken, which in my opinion, I think she likely used to her advantage. In encouraging a second round of drinks, from the buy 1 get 1 happy hour we were technically present during, she very intentionally, when suggesting we get something to go with our meal, seemed to mention the word FREE more than the ‘buy 1′ part of that. Wanting to avoid a direct confrontation and still being in the good spirit of the evening, I deferred to my wife if she wanted something else but turned down something for myself. After she walked away, my wife asked me ‘why didn’t you get another one, they were free?’ I explained that this is what she was implying but that the second round was only free if we bought one more; not at all clearly what she communicated. There is certainly good opportunity for up selling, again, I was impressed with her abilities. But then you move to the point to where you are misleading people completely and it becomes unethical. This really hit home when we told her we did not want any dessert or coffee. She had been extremely attentive up until that point. After that, we didn’t see her for ten minutes. When she finally came back and we asked for the check, we waited another ten minutes before we saw her again. Guess why she wasn’t attentive? Pre-added mandatory 18% gratuity ALREADY added. For… two people. With an additional ‘extra tip’ like added there. Leading intoxicated tourists to likely write a second tip. The largest and most gregarious infraction was still yet to come. The special that we had ordered, a seafood platter, was $ 119. The seafood dish for two was $ 119. Why am I upset? Because their was a comparable meat/steak based platter for two that was approx $ 55. For the seafood, if it would have come back at $ 20 – 30 more, I would have said ‘well it’s seafood, what would we expect, it’s a special item when they didn’t say the price, would make sense it is more than average’. But it was double the next expensive item on the menu outside of buying a bottle of wine. This was clearly significantly out of the price range of any options on their menu. Bait and switch price gouging would be a fairly accurate description here. I politely and courteously brought this specific issue up to her that she should have told us the price, it is over double the next most expensive option on the menu. Unhelpful excuses ensued. She knew exactly what she is did to us, and likely does multiple times a night to multiple clientele. So yes. Could we have asked for the price? Yes. Could we have pressed the issue, escalated with management, caused a fit, yelled at them until they provided a discount? Yes. Did we? No. We shouldn’t have to. Shouldn’t have to feel like we need to look into every suggestion and fear there is an ulterior motive. Shouldn’t have to sacrifice helpful service for shameless and skillful up selling with the ulterior motive of boosting a FORCED gratuity. She knows she has a forced gratuity of 18%, it didn’t matter if we were upset at the end. We would still pay. And we did. $ 234.82. Our only recourse was uncomfortable and unpleasant escalation or outright refusing to pay the bill. I am not upset because of the money. I am upset because I feel like I have been stolen from. I feel dirty and taken advantage off. Shamed almost. Business like this in highly tourist focused areas are incentivized to maximize agency profits by optimizing for these types of situations because repeat business is non existent from the local population. So if we have a poor experience, well we are from out of town so what does it matter? Enter Unilocal. Thank you Unilocal; for being Unilocal. Hopefully you can learn from my experience and be warned. Please mark this review as helpful so more people see it so if you still decide to patron this business, you do so informed from the onset.

It took nearly an hour for 2 simple entrees to come out.(It wasn’t busy). Also, the manager spoke about promotions(either get 50% off 1 appetizer or 20% an entrée) so I had one check and my friend had another. He comes to us me that the promotion only applies per table. I told him this wasn’t mentioned, and his response was«you never asked». All the waiters stand around talking to each other. My friend asked for a fork and it took 17 minutes to get one(because the original one was dirty). Do yourselves a favor, don’t come here if you’re looking for a good time.

Happy Hour is bs, don’t get fooled please! You will pay a 100% for your order, 50%… forget it! The food is good though, flavorful and delicious. And the service is good too.

Located conveniently on Lincoln Road, it’s the perfect place to grab lunch and enjoy the beautiful Miami weather after a morning of perusing the shops along the way. After grabbing an outdoor table out front, as a light snack to hold me until dinner I ordered a cocktail and the beef carpaccio. Food was good, service was great, atmosphere was pleasant. I’d definitely return.

In short — they are pulling a fast one. They advertise a complete package of:(1) 50 per cent discount for appetisers,(2) 20 per cent discount for mains, and(3) 2 for 1 on drinks. Sound good? It isn’t — when the bill came there was no discount applied(they hope you have forgotten or never realised there ever was a discount). We challenged — and quick as a flash a new bill appeared with the 20 per cent main discount applied. Nothing more… Apparently you only get one of the three ‘offers’ advertised. It wasn’t a bad meal but you will leave angry at how you were treated. So do avoid.

*Our first disappointing dining experience in Miami Beach* My mom and I were walking along Lincoln Rd, enjoying the people watching, deciding where we might want to grab a drink… A young man followed us in front of 920 asking us to look at the menu, inciting us for happy hour– why not! We sat down and were greeted promptly by our server. She explained the happy hour pricing, which was buy one get one wine, or 50% off one appetizer, or an entrée that is usually almost $ 60 was $ 39. My mom decided to get 2-for-1 wine, and I asked for an appetizer($ 9 bruschetta) and ordered a glass of sangria. Everything was fine, we enjoyed our drinks, the appetizer was alright, especially since it was 50% off(or so I thought)… When the bill came I noticed I didn’t get any discount on the appetizer, but my mom did get 2 for 1 wine. I called the server over to say I thought there was a mistake and she got VERY aggressive, claiming that she told us we could only choose one special per table(not per person) and suggested she get her manager(I bet she has to do that a lot). The manager came over and said that it’s not how the specials work(which is completely bizarre compared to happy hour in the rest of the US). I told him that I’m not even arguing about the $ 6 bottle of «flat» water we got(we just wanted tap water…) all I want is what I thought I ordered. 50% off a $ 9 appetizer. He agreed to make an exception and give me $ 4.50 off… Good lord. I feel like the servers are intentionally making the happy hour special confusing. Suggestion: Tell the customers — whatever you choose, the WHOLE table gets that ONE special. They should just do away with happy hour because it seems to cause more grief than it’s worth.

In miami for the weekend and didnt make any formal dinner plans… we were walking down lincoln road and decided to give 920 Grill a try. Outside seating right next to the fountain… if its just a tad windy, expect a mist! Waitress was nice, however running around to different tables filling water glasses.(I would suggest larger ones –not tumbler sizes) menu was typical, however not very authentic. Ordered the empanadas for an app. And they were a bit greasy. Was at a table of four… meals consisted of the chicken piccata, salmon, tuna and steak. Got an avacado and tomato salad(waitress said it was dinner size) and thank goodnesss i ordered it as an app. It was not a dinner size salad. All the food was Flavorful-but just ok. Desert came… flan and dolce de leche crepes. AMAZING. Great texture and flavor. Very pleased. Overall rating is 3 stars simply because the service was lacking and for the price. the food was just ok. Glad tried it, but I will not be returning.

Talk about a complicated happy hour experience! I bet Rube Goldberg could have made it simpler. Located in the 900 block of the Lincoln Road Mall, this aptly named bistro tries to impress with its simplistic atmosphere and supposed sophisticated cuisine. I really cannot recommend this restaurant for anything more than a few appetizers and a glass of wine. Overall it rates a big Meh… The happy hour specials are complicated enough as it is. You can get 50% of certain appetizers, 20% off selected entrees, or two for one drinks(including by-the-glass wine). For the mathematically challenged, this will end up costing more than you think. The appetizers are pretty run of the mill for any Argentinian restaurant and fall short on flavor. My date and I ordered a carpaccio and a caprese. The carpaccio was flavorless and the caprese lacked two key ingredients(balsamic reduction and basil). The portions were generous, but still lacked any definition. Our entrée was a «Parillada» which brings the following: Chorizo(Argentinian Style), Morcilla(Blood Sausage), Churrasco, NY Strip, Short Rib, Chicken, and Sweetbreads. We ordered ours slightly medium because the portable grill keeps cooking the meat as it is very, very hot. I would like to say that I was not disappointed with the portions if they hadn’t been so salty and overcooked. The service was alright. Our waiter was attentive and tried to make the experience a pleasant one. The bussing staff on the other hand was overwhelmingly attentive to the point of annoying. After telling them for the third time that I was NOT done, I had to forcefully remind them not come back until I asked for them to. I am not a fan of being surrounded by vultures when I’m trying to enjoy a nice relaxing dinner. Which brings me to another issue. Lincoln Road Mall has finally shed its last vestiges of «that local ambiance» and become just another overpriced pedestrian mall with no shame in its outright over commercialization that caters to the 1%. I think I’ll leave it for the tourists and just stay off the beach in general. There really is no point for a local to cross the causeway anymore… That second star is me being generous.

Food is terrible, bland, and overpriced. They forgot to add asparagus to my risotto so it tasted like complete mush. My husbands filet mignon Santa Fe was basically steak and gravy. Do not recommend.

We had appetizers. The chorizo was good but not spicy like real chorizo. Calamari was very tender. Caprese lacked balsamic reduction and there was a very tiny piece of basil. Need capraccio was good it lacked a little flavor no olive oil or pepper. Service was horrible!!! I would not come back. The get you by the happy hour pricing and 20% off entrée. Well it’s either 50% of happy hour or 20% off your meal or reduced drink prices. Far better places on Lincoln ave!!!

I had a wonderful experience! I showed up desperate and hungry with three kids and they accommodated us right away. The half boneless chicken was amazing, we actually had to order an extra one because all of the kids ate it happily. Service is great especially when you’re with three toddlers. And alcohol was readily available, which always helps desperate mothers on a play-date! I will definitely go to again! Lamb chops are also great!
