Wow, no reviews here almost in 6 years? That’s amazing. Since the last review, they’ve expanded. The new section has a lot more wine and beer, but it’s mostly the more«reasonably priced» items. They have a decent selection of the basics — okay selection(not extensive) selection of cold beers, lots of reasonably priced 1.5L bottles of wine, and the more common hard liquors. As long as you’re not looking for anything unusual, you’ll probably find it here.

Valley Liquors is a well stocked, if a bit small, liquor store conveniently located on route 110. It was also about .25 miles from where I used to live in Methuen, so I went there quite often. They were one of the few local liquor stores that let you make your«own» six pack, choosing from the large variety of beers in their refrigerator. The employees were always pleasant, though perhaps not the most knowledgeable about wines or some of your more random questions about liquor. But they had an awesome horse/dog that just chilled out by the register and was the friendliest animal ever, so that made up for a lot. The prices were reasonable(and considering it’s Methuen, I’d have to guess still are), and they gave you free candy when you left. Score!
