We were grateful to find a place in Metamora to eat after 5pm, as everyone else had abandoned the town. The cook and the owner(I’m assuming) were the only 2 left in the restaurant; the woman I took as the/an owner was very friendly. That’s why it’s so hard to write this mediocre review. By the name, you’d assume they serve Italian fare. However, the main offerings are that of an American diner with a splattering of pizza and the like. The pizza was okay — toppings standard but the crust was obviously frozen and purchased from their supplier. I’m not really sure what was going on with the breaded pork tenderloin. The breading materials were good, but the tenderloin itself was undercooked or just not cooked properly. Hard to explain, but it had huge potential, just didn’t pull through in the end. Crinkle-cut fries were also from a frozen bag. Dessert was good, though(fresh-made pie). I think these ladies have good intentions, but they just don’t realize that made-from-scratch food does NOT mean reheating things they bring in from their suppliers. I wish them luck.
