If i could leave no stars i would. Deff a bad experience. On feb 22 i ordered 2 large pizzas, two 10 piece wings, and two 2 liter cokes. It took over an hour for delivery, and when it finally got here, one of the pizzas was mangled as if dropped twice and once nore for good measure, i got two diet cokes instead of two reg cokes, and one of the wing orders was still pink inside. I immediatly called, and was told my information was taken down and it would be fixed when i was ready for another order. I called today to get ny replacement and was told there was no record of me ever ordering from there and there was nothing they could do. I didnt even want the whole order agai, just what was messed up. 80 dollars wasted.

The pizza is amazing. The delivery was really quick and the staff is very nice. However, I do have a few complaints. First, they were out of their homemade hummus. The main thing I wanted to try. I ordered before 5 pm… Kind of early to run out of things. Second, the spinach and artichoke dip was very salty. Third, I ordered the cheese burger and fries for myself. It was disgusting. The fries were hard and seemed old. The cheeseburger was just gross. The pizza though… It was really good.

Stumbled upon this when I was waiting for an Rx at Walgreens. It is hidden in a strip center that runs perpendicular to Clearview Pkwy., so you kinda have to look for it. I have to say the pizza here is REAL! It beats anything else in Metairie hands-down. I lived in New York for 7 years, and something about the taste of the cheese and the crust made me wax nostalgic for the Big Apple. They have a large one-topping special of $ 9.99 on any night, I believe, and it is a VERYGOOD deal for pizza that is NOT your run-of-the-mill chain-store pizza.

Their spinach and artichoke dip is awesome! It’s true that some of there food options are better than others but their delivery is super quick.

Do not eat here. I work right around the corner and every time I order thinking I’ll just give it another chance, the food is soggy and it takes them forever to cook. The worst is the delivery. It has taken over and hour for a small pizza and a salad. My husband had a huge puddle of Greece from the chicken caesar wrap. If you go here you will not be impressed.

I had not been here for many months since the last time I had purchased pizza from Zita’s it well over an hour wait with no one in the restaurant. The sad part was the pizza was undercooked with a soggy crust. So now it is 3 months later. A friend of mine told me she had ordered great pizza from Zita’s. So tonight I am driving home and decided to stop at Zita’s and bring home a couple of pizzas. BOYAM I SORRY. I entered the EMPTY restaurant at 6:05, walked to counter and noticed they had raised their prices. I asked the woman at the counter how long the wait would be. She said ½ hour. I was good with that. Unfortunately for me, an hour went by with no pizza boxes in my hand. The counter girl had been saying for the last 20 minutes«your order will be up in a minute» I finally got my order at 7:15. I took the pizzas for my long 5 minute to my house. I opened to pizza boxes and found the same type of soggy undercooked pizza. Bottom line is I will never go back to Zita’s and I suggest you stay away from this place.

We have eaten at Zita’s several times since my last review with no issues. Tonight ordered pizza which was okay, crust on edge was on the verge of being burnt. Veggie wrap was very oily and antipasto salad ham tasted like bologna. Don’t know if we’ll be back

I’ve eaten here a couple of times because it’s convenient. The food is ok but not outstanding and somewhat pricy depending on what you get. Overall it’s decent and I would recommend it for a quick easy meal.

I feel I am being very generous with this review, but the restaurant did what they could to please us. First of all, my daughter really wanted pizza, so we ended up at this pizza place on our way back to Baton Rouge from the French Quarter. We got to the restaurant and it was a bit smaller than I had imagined, ordered our pizzas — small pepperoni on wheat crust & small meat lovers on wheat crust. We then waited and waited and waited and waited and waited. After about an hour or so, we were so hungry, but did not want to complain because the last thing I want is to get so upset and for someone to spit on our food… I have heard of the many horror stories, trust me… I was not willing to take the chance! We were in no kind of rush, so I was okay with waiting, but an hour for pizza was a ridiculous! The server told us that they had an large order of 30 pizzas before us and were trying to finish that up. Finally, our first pizza arrived and surprisingly was delicious! The server said, «your next 2 pizzas will be out shortly» and I was thinking in my head… we only ordered 2, so I thought maybe she was referring to someone’s order. Within minutes she brought out 2 more small pizzas — pepperoni & a meat lovers and I said, «we only ordered 2 pizzas». I almost lost it(LOL) that we were going to charged for another pizza that we did not order on top of waiting for an hour +. My husband quickly spoke up and said, «oh we only ordered 2, but if you all want to give us an extra for our wait, that will be great». The server immediately agreed to void one of the pizzas to compensate for our long wait. What started out to be a 1-star experience, in the end, turned into a 4-star experience! Thank you Zita’s for being so accommodating and acknowledging you had some dissatisfied customers… that is true customer service, people!

Was going to Brooklyn but decided to try something new. Picked up a large extra cheese pizza, 10″ shrimp avocado pizza and the large garden salad. The cheese pizza had tons and tons of cheese. Good crust and good sauce. The shrimp avocado was decent but a little garlicky. The garden salad was terrible. Looks like lettuce they put on your sandwich at Subway with some shredded cheese and a few sliced tomatoes. Not running back but overall not terrible pizza. Price was decent(~$ 30) for the whole meal. They do NOT accept AMEX. Absolutely no reason for this…

A small restaurant in a Metairie strip mall but this strip mall is actually hidden away and you can easily drive past it and never notice it so it could be the most secret strip mall in the NOLA metro area so you get the added bonus of «mystery.» The pizza here is decent while the space is small but it does have a little side courtyard. The lasagna here tastes like the frozen type you buy in the grocery and cook in the oven so I’m not sure if they make their own our outsource for the pre-made but I’ve certainly had better tasting but I’ve also had worse. The main thing I don’t like about this place is the bathroom situation is rather limited and really needs to be improved. They seem to have a good stream of regulars here for lunch and it seems like a popular spot in the area. The pizza seems to be the best choice here and they do have it available by the slice in limited topping options.

I’m rating this place a 3 stars based on what I had which wasn’t all that. I had the chicken strips which were dry and I had the fully loaded fries which tasted old. They deliver which is cool.

Their food is amazing! Not tried any pasta yet, but the spinach/artichoke dip is dark green with so much spinach & always has a perfect baked cheezy top!!! Calazones are huge & stuffed! I love the spinach pizza(their veggie), the crust is perfect blend in between thin & thick IMO(quite thin, but not like a cracker, still tastes like pizza crust!) & the toppings are always perfectly proportioned & they have never strayed from perfection in the many times I’ve ordered. Both quesadilla’s are great as well as the other appetizers I’ve tried. Service has always been friendly. Inside is very clean & they have some nice outside seating as well. & they deliver!!! Almost took one star because ordering over the phone never goes well & several orders have taken about 45(dine in or delivery). But knowing/expecting that, we just usually order ahead, cause I do believe it’s worth the wait!

Haven’t had the pizza yet! The spinach sandwich is to DIE for. It’s sooooooo good. It’s enough to make two meals out of it… and my appetite is not small! The greek salad was just okay. Not sure if it was a bad salad day for them, but i likely won’t get it again.

One of my daughters and I ate here last Thursday(4÷18÷13) and hide a pretty good meal. She had the chicken fettucine alredo and I had a Philly Cheese steak. The fettucine was a huge portion that came with a Caesar salad and 2 little piece of a toasted bun. The salad was served in the coolest looking space bowl that I ever seen. The Philly was really good. There wasn’t a lot of pepper and onions if any on the sandwich and i believe it had mozzerella instead of provolone. The bread was toasted and on a french baguette. It also came with nicely crisp crinkle cut fries. We ordered a small cheese pizza for my other daughter and it was just ok. My ex-wife swears by their pizza and maybe their other gourmet pies are good but the chees was just ok. This is a small little pizzeria that’s probably a little too small. There are only 6 tables in the place in a little strip mall next to the Coach’s Corner bar. That was more aggravating than I thought. My daughter and I were in here enjoying out food when for about 15 minutes, it sounded like one of those jackass young whipper snappers parked their crappy car with spinny rims blaring their hippity hop music blaring. Alas it was just the bar next door. I saw that they have another location in the old That’s Amore on Clearview by W. Esplanade so that may be a slightlly bigger spot and less noisy. Also hopefully they have fountain cokes there instead of 20 ozs.

A great little neighborhood pizza place. The pizza is a thinner crust that is very crispy and delicious. My favorite pizzas have been the Margherita and the steak and cheese. They frequently run of basil for the margherita, but you can sub spinach which is totally different but still good. I have only done carry out, they do have a few tables for dining in but only a few. Only knocks are that the breadsticks are pretty uninteresting and carry out orders usually take about ten minutes longer than they say to be ready.

I usually write reviews after having tried a place at least twice as I don’t believe in giving some place a bad review based off of one disappointing experience. So on to Zita’s Pizzeria… I have eaten quite a few items here including their spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna, bbq chicken sandwich, meatball sandwich, chicken ceasar sandwich, Zita’s special wrap, supreme pizza, meat lovers pizza, spicy chicken pizza, and their hawaiian pizza. Highs & Lows: — Very good pizza. Thin crust. Great sauce. Good amount of toppings. Awesome prices(medium for $ 8/large $ 11/specialty pizzas $ 6 extra). — Sandwiches are hit or miss to me(bbq chicken sandwich is great). — Spaghetti and meatballs was disappointing. — Wait staff is attentive and service is quick. Outdoor patio area as well if you want to eat outside. Overall, it is a great place for pizza and a so-so place for sandwiches, pasta, salads, etc.
