Long line but waited. Steak very undercooked and bleeding. Not happy with rude workers when asked a question. Won’t be back to this location.

I LOVE Chipotle. I’m not scared to eat there because of the food problems that have been happening recently because I know they are trying very hard to correct any problems. However — this location is poorly managed and needs help from the owner or franchise manager. I’ve been 3 or 4 times and each times it gets worse. I visited on December 16 and the meat was charred, overcooked and completely overdone and tasteless. The rice was mush. The salsa here is always very dry and not at all like the other locations of Chipotle that I have visited. The chips had obviously been cooked so much earlier as they were stale. I threw out the entire order and wasted $ 12.23. Does management even TASTE the food or look at the quality? There are no responses from management or the company so I do not believe they care at all. Management must be replaced if this location is to be saved.

I wish I could give them 0 stars. Staff looked like they didn’t want us waking in — messed up three out of three orders. Unreal …

The service was fine and quick, but the food was just mediocre. Meat was cold. I did not find an option to warm it. The chips are not fresh and cold too. And the meal is not cheap in total. I’d rather sit in a regular Mex restaurant. The out door price would be similar.

Awful! Food was cold and over seasoned. I like spicy food but this was just too much. Wound up throwing it away after a few bites. Staff was very rude to all the customers. Even rolling their eyes when people asked questions. I normally would have returned the food but this particular day I knew it wouldn’t have ended well so after throwing away $ 15.00 worth of uneaten food we wound up at Taco Bell. By the way I live walking distance to this place and would not go back!

So I must start off by saying I love chipotle I’ve been going to chipotle for years now and truly do enjoy the food. This is not a rating based off of the quality of food but the quality of service. We have gone to this location over a dozen times and each time the service has been lousy. I have seen employees bickering at each other while serving customers to customers being ignored. Every order it looks as if we are bothering the employee. Management is virtually absent here. Hopefully they fix the problems.

The service at this chipotle seriously sucks, literally standing here for five minutes while an employee is serving another employee. Didn’t even get acknowledged till she was done serving her friend. RUDE!

There should be a rule. When you have this many complaints and bad reviews, you should be forced to shut the doors for a while and reevaluate the situation. This place is nasty. It’s 7pm on a Friday and they are out of half the fountain drinks and the condiment station is dirty and almost empty. They are ALWAYS short-staffed. The ones there have a stank attitude.(Just quit already.) I work too hard for my pennies to keep this place in business. I can’t do it anymore. Get it together. And turn on the lights in the parking light! Are you trying to have your patrons robbed in the parking lot as well?

The Elmwood location is far too often a hot mess, but this one seems to be consistently on point, at least as the food is concerned. My steak tacos with corn tortillas were delicious, loaded with ingredients, and everything tasted like it should when Chipotle is doing it right. I love Chipotle’s steak and this location gets it right: cooked to a perfect medium rare. One of the things I love about Chipotle is that you can ask for extra of anything except meat and guac for no extra charge! A lot of mexican places charge you extra for every little thing(looking at you, Felipes!) and Chipotle doesn’t nickle and dime. They also don’t hold the napkins hostage, either. This location even has convenient parking! I confess; the drive to Metairie at lunch time definitely happens more than it should.

Just finished soccer with the kids and we were looking for something tasty. The meal was excellent. Service was on point. I couldn’t believe how quickly we had the food and we’re ready to head home. Great all around experience. Side note– kids beef nachos were a little spicy for the kids but I was glad to eat them and trade a chicken quesadilla from the Blues Sampler we had. It’s a lot of food.

This review is strictly to this location and not the franchise itself. I love Chipotle. Everything is so fresh and flavorful, however, this particular location fails. Maybe they recently opened and haven’t had things fine-tuned yet BUT it’s a franchise and operation is usually consistent among stores. Click here for photos:
First, the building is quite small so there’s limited seating. If you sit indoors, it’s cramped and very noisy and echo-ey. Since I was by myself, I took my food to-go and just ate in my car! Secondly, something was a little off as far as flavoring of the steak and the guacamole… most likely a lack of lime and/or salt. Everything was so bland. As I ate my burrito bowl, I kept pondering why it tasted so different and found myself chewing on a piece of plastic. I’ll spare you the disgust and won’t post that photo, but I was so disappointed that I had to try again at Chipotle in Harahan the next day. That experience was much better. I’ll wait a little while for them to improve and maybe try again, but I definitely won’t go out of my way for it.

I have visited this location for the first time, a few months ago. I must say Chipotle is my favorite place to eat at. Elmwood is by far my favorite location. I never assumed for the same franchise but different location to be so unsatisfying. First, the service was extremely slow. Seems as if there wasn’t enough workers. Once I’ve tried the food, I’ve notice immediately that my food was cold. Usually at elmwood it’s quite warm. The taste of everything in my burrito bowl was different. It wasn’t as good as what I’ve always had before. This was so hard to understand. All I have to say is that this location is a great location, but with poor service and food. They won’t ever have plenty of customers.

As I sat there eating my chode looking burrito, I couldn’t help but be disappointed. THEYDIDN’T HAVEMYWHITEQUESO. Why? Because they haven’t found a «natural» source for it. That really grinds my gears. Couldn’t Chipotle keep my delicious and artificial queso on hand until they find a natural source? Would that really hurt anybody? No. No, it wouldn’t. Why is this an issue? Because there isn’t a Government or FDA definition for such claims. They just doesn’t exist. I know you are trying to go all high and mighty with a «free from» or «natural» claims but the reality of the situation is this: YOUSTILLSERVECOCACOLAPRODUCTS. Whats in Coco Cola products you ask? High Fructose Corn Syrup. HFCS is VERY far from being natural. Do I give a shit? Hell no. Im a Food Scientist. I just ask two things: 1– Be consistent. 2– Give me my damn white queso back.

Wow. Absolutely wow. I literally waiting 45 minutes in line for this burrito. I’ve always previously gone to the location in Elmwood and even when the line went outside, I still never waited 45 minutes. I had to go to this location because I wanted to go to the mall after. This location is half, if not one-third of the location in Elmwood. Elmwood workers are fast, efficient, and they know what they’re doing! I will not be going to this location again.

I like this location better than the other one, but the dollars would roll in if they switched staffs. This store is big, but they never have«enough» people working, manager walking around being very supervisory only. The choices look like a UNICEF refugee camp. At the other location the food is overflowing and EVERYONE participates– even if they might break a nail… And food is flipped & switched every 30 seconds or so… It’s disheartening.

Ugh! I love chipotle and since they opened I have literally been eating here 1 – 2 times a week! I love that they use fresh ingredients and responsibly-raised food. Plus, it’s good food fast. That said, in a matter of weeks this place has gone DOWN! The last few times I’ve been there it seemed like they were understaffed and we had to wait a while. Tonight was the epitome of the worst tho! Huge line and it looked like no one was working. The three people that we did see on the line looked like they were working hard, but where was everyone else? And they were out of literally everything, which you didn’t find out until you waited 20 mins in line. Even the food didn’t taste as good tonight. When they first opened they had tons of people working and everyone seemed happy to be there. Tonight the place just seemed sad– sad food, sad staff, and sad customers… April 30 Out of black beans tonight! How do you run out of that? Even if you do run out, how about you put up a sign so I don’t find out after I waited in line for 10 minutes. This place is a joke!

I finally made it to this new Chipotle. It’s in a great location. The building’s architecture is cool and modern and there are a good amount of parking spaces. It’s like any typical Chipotle where you order at the counter and tell them what kind of meat you would like and in what way you would like to eat it(bowl, burrito, taco, etc). Then you go along the counter and customize it how you like. I have been eating at Chipotle for over ten years. I have grown a bit tired of the burritos and bowls. These days I typically get the tacos or a quesodilla. I also still enjoy the chips and guacamole… yum! The staff here seem to be doing a good job. I’m sure I will be back.

Hope they learn how to properly close and bag their food. I’d prefer to eat it as opposed to cleaning it out of my car seat. Also, chips were stale and over seasoned.

**I would put 3.5 stars if I could. This is the best of the burrito/taco establishments of the same type, not including Felipe’s, which is more of a 4 star for me and really an altogether different restaurant. The menu is basic, and the place is always very clean. The employees are all held go strict food safety standards. The food is good, but I wish they had fresher tasting or possibly homemade flour and corn tortillas. The chicken and Barbacoa steak are the best meats.(I haven’t tried the softest yet.). The guacamole is always good and fresh tasting. For the most part, the line flows pretty well. I will always make this a stop for some quick tacos or a taco bowl. It is very quick, organized, and clean(unlike some of the similar places that seem to have a mass disorder going on. For best results get the tacos or a burrito bowl.(if you order a burrito, and get a rookie burrito roller, you will be sorry). Pros: 1. Managed well/great customer service. 2. Great service /quality/cleanliness 3. Fresh tasting food Cons 1. Inconstent tortillas(corn and flour). Make fresh ones!!! It isn’t difficult and will make the product better. 2. Tabasco doesn’t really go with anything on the menu.(although I love Tabasco. Just not at chipotle). Get some Mexican hot sauce. 3. The«hot» salsa is VERY mild. Put some kick in it.
