I’m very pleased with the service my grandson received. I can’t believe that it seemed so empty; maybe it’s because I was there on a Sunday. Anyway, the facility is bright and clean. My daughter and the baby were sent to a waiting room for just sick kids. There’s a separate one for well children.(Which I’m confused about because I thought only sick children go to urgent care.) They were seen promptly and the staff is wonderful and thorough. I’m so glad we have an after hours alternative like this.

It’s about time that Children’s Hospital gets an Urgent Care. For a place that just opened in August the office looks really shabby. Clean but shabby. The waiting area has only one toy but I guess if you’re at an urgent care your kiddo isn’t going to be playing much. They’re pretty fast. Thing 2 and I were in and out in under 2 hours. Dr. Firestone has an awesome bedside manner and actually read the notes that I wrote on Thing 2’s admit papers.
No shots were had so I can’t rate them on their shot giving /distraction skills. The walls are thin and some other kid’s screaming unnerved Thing 2. Wish they’d do a little soundproofing. All in all it’s an extension of Children’s Hospital. If you like Children’s you’ll like these guys. Mommy notes: Waiting room doesn’t have toys, large bathrooms, one toy in waiting area, wide assortment of stickers and suckers, willing to write for generics.
