I had a horrible experience at this store and feel it’s my responsibility as a customer to inform future customers. I went into Blink as a first-time customer looking for a fun, flirty dress for a date night. I didn’t fall in love with any dress, but I ended up purchasing a black one. The cashier noticed my face of disappointment when I told her I didn’t love the dress, but I liked it. I explained I would try it on with shoes at home, and return it if it didn’t work. Nowhere in the store did it say I wouldn’t be able to return the dress for my money back. As expected, I decided not to keep the dress, but rather return it for my money back. No point to keep a dress I didn’t love! Much to my surprise, the same cashier informed me I could only return the dress for a store credit. I told her I didn’t want a store credit, I wanted my $ 79.00 back. She said no. I asked to speak to a manger. She informed me she was the manager. I reluctantly took the credit knowing full well I did not want any articles of clothing in the store. I asked for the owner’s name and number. I called the owner and after a game of phone tag she called me back. I explained to her what happened and she was very kind and understanding. I also explained that had I known I would not be able to return the dress, I would never have purchased it. She explained she would speak with the other owners and see what she could do. I gave the owner a full week to speak with her co-owners. After 3 phone calls and voice mails, she finally answered the phone. She said she would not be able to accommodate me and I was stuck with the credit. I informed her I would go on Unilocal and express my dismay with her store, and she told me I was threatening her. I then explained it was my right and responsibility as a customer to tell future customers what they could expect. She then told me she didn’t want to lose her store over a measly $ 80 dress. Clearly she didn’t understand that many of us work hard for our money and $ 80 is a lot. After a fifteen-minute conversation that ended with me in tears, she rudely said I’d be stuck with the store credit. I am only now writing this review because I was able to get someone to purchase the store credit from me, months later. I will never shop in the store again or recommend their cheap, flimsy dresses to a friend. Good luck, Blink.

I was forced to give 1 Star… I wish there was an option for NEGATIVESTARS!!! Like the general publics desire for an «unlike» option on Facebook(which is my next top on the shame train)…I think you should look into to this Unilocal. I shopped at this Blink location a few Saturdays ago. I was looking for a dress to wear to a baby shower later that afternoon so came early in the day. There were 2 sales girls that I could see. A tall blonde… well lets just say that«orange isn’t the new black» & a shorter brunette. I was not greeted when I walked in… they seemed much more interested in talking about the MTV movie awards, their weekend plans & unpacking what seemed to be new merchandise then bother to say«good morning» back to me. It soon became blatantly clear that I was not the«type of customer» they wanted to invest in helping. I walked around the small shop with several dresses in hand & was never offered a fitting room. To my surprise, because I was one of only 2 customers in the store. I noticed that the seam by the zipper was coming unraveled once I was in the room, but I very much liked the dress. After the clerk unglued her eyes from her cell phone long enough to notice I was standing at the register waiting… she looked right over my head and asked the other worker what she was eating for lunch. It seemed to me, that because I am not a size zero by any means that they were almost mocking me… as if I was too large to be in the store in the first place. Once gaining a little bit of her attention, I inquired about the small hole. They didn’t offer a discount nor would they hold the dress for me… even after offering them my drivers license while I ran across the street. Though I am from Nola, I have worked in retail for 8+ years, graduated from F.I.T. in New York & am now a freelance writer for many fashion magazines long-distance as I am back south to take care of a family member… I WILLNEVERSHOPHEREAGAIN! Nor will any of my large group of friends and following! Contrary to its mantra… ITREALLYCANBEMISSED!

I have to say Blink is one of my favorite boutiques in the Metairie area. It’s my «go to» place when I need cute cocktail dresses and accessories. Very affordably priced.
