I received rude, impersonal and inattentive service at checkout. The young woman never stopped yakking with her co-worker. She never looked at me. It was as if I was not there. I wanted to ask her a question but couldn’t get her attention. When I finally commented about her inattentiveness, she stopped talking and looked at me like I had insulted her. I then asked my question and got a terse response with an «attitude.» She then crammed my clothes into a bag that was too small and of course didn’t thank me for my business. The manager said he would talk to her. I walked out of the store feeling pretty bad. Who trains these people?!!

Yes an other friend was having a baby. Thankfully they registered what they wanted online and we were able to select our gifts online too. We walking in, the staff scanned our receipts and gave us our purchases and we were out in less than ten minutes. This is an all-time record in my limited baby shower gift buying experience.

I usually LOVE this place, the prices, sales and venue of stuff is always great. BUT, yesterday I found a sitter for my week old newborn and went and bought the medela swing pump. I came back to a crying infant ready to nurse but content knowing that w my new pump that wouldn’t have to happen again. Well… I open the«new» package to find milk stains in the tube and water marks in the bottle. I don’t know how this happened but personal care items aren’t supposed to be returned. I was disgusted, pissed off and frustrated bc now not only did I not have a pump after getting a sitter to get one, but I had to go exchange it!!! Well since I no longer had a sitter I had to drag my newborn out in the heat to return this shit. Disgusting. Also there was no apology or anything, the cashier was equally disgusted though. Y’all need to be a little closer eyed with returns, that was a lot of bullshit I had to go through and having just delivered a freaking baby, I shouldn’t have to deal w that shit. They need to find out who returned that, it’s disgusting and should be illegal.

Exactly what you would expect from a large superstore style baby merchandise warehouse. They’ve got all the trinkets for your family to keep your baby nice and comfy. Honestly, the only thing that I was looking forward to purchasing were BabyBuds. The buds work fantastic on my wife’s belly. Classical music for baby green, check.

Ok. So there are nice, modern baby/care for baby items, but the prices are ridiculous. I mean the mothers that are shopping here have babies & babies themselves are expensive… Soooo there’s no need for their prices to be astronomical as well. Sheesh!!! Helllllo #onlineshopping but I know sometimes you just gotta have what you gotta have, but my goodness!!! I don’t really care for the store itself. Full restock baskets everywhere. 10.5 people(.5 = babies & other little people) in line 1 cashier open. I mean for the prices, they should be able to have each register manned & ready to checkout patrons with these grossly overpriced«i gotta have it for my baby» baby items. We asked a floor person for helped & she merely«pointed» us in the direction… I mean really ma’am, you’re not that busy you could’ve walked us where we needed to be in this cluttered store!!! Helllllo. Afterall we’re paying $ 50 for a nursing pillow, hello!!! Parking is shared with 3 other stores, but the lot is ample, no problems. I do like the expecting mothers«reserved» parking as indicated by the sign; should be 2 rows of these. I’ll try not to come back. Try other places before returning to the scene of a crime… The crime being #highwayrobbery.

Kind of a necessary evil. I usually get nursing and feeding supplies here. I like that they are good about returns. Many times people have bought my son clothes that don’t fit him or contraptions that he doesn’t need. They’ve taken it all back even without a receipt. Most items are overpriced but sometimes you can find deals. Just make sure that you shop around.

Okay, the first time you go here, you’re most likely soon to be a new parent, so everything you do is new and exciting. And so it was with me going to BRU. Then I made a return visit. I quickly realized taking something back was a hassle, they didn’t seem to have enough workers, and even if they had something on the website didn’t mean they’d have it in the store, or even for the same price. I wouldn’t say it’s a waste of time to ever go here, because they do have almost everything, but to go here on a regular basis would drive me insane.

They never usually have what I need in stock. But I’m here often because its about the only option if you just had a baby. Majority of the time you will have to order it online because the store is limited on stock. Prices are up there, so I would always have to catch things on sale. But they usually have good sales weekly, so be sure to check that before purchasing anything. The workers are not too helpful and the prices are never the same as to what rings up and is advertised. So watch out for that.

Agree with the other two reviewers. One thing to add: WOW, they really have no pride in their store… we went to look at a selection of bouncers and NONE of them was put together properly. They all wiggled and wobbled and were, in some cases, pretty unsafe looking. It can be difficult to distinguish a poor product from crappy assembly. Remember to look at the Toys R Us on Veterans if this Babies R Us doesn’t have something… the baby section there is a lot more organized and the employees seem more engaged/helpful.

So the staffing problem here is serious. The employees are so rude, you’d think they are post office workers. This location just can’t seem to get it together. Everything is always a mess, always out of items. If it weren’t the only Babies’R’Us in the area I wouldn’t bother. So sad that a breakoff of such a huge company, Toys’R’Us, would be sooooo poorly managed.

Like all moms, I find Babies R Us to be a necessary evil. Everything is overpriced, compared to what you would find at Walmart, Target, or online elsewhere, but they have a HUGE selection of furniture, toys, clothing, gear… pretty much everything baby-related. Now, they do have their own store brand items too, which are more reasonably priced, and they have awesome sales every once in a while. The problem is, usually if I need something, it seems to be when it isn’t on sale. I need to work on my 11 month old’s timing, I suppose. Anyway, the service is on par with other big box stores — hit and miss. Sometimes they are exceptionally helpful, sometimes they talk amongst themselves rather than assist customers. The lines are either completely empty, or 5 – 6 people long. It really just depends on time of day, I suppose. I recommend going to Babies R Us if you need something that you can’t find elsewhere, or have a lot of baby supplies that you want to buy in one trip to a store. They also do have a great gift registry program. Personally, I try to buy all of my large baby items(stroller, car seats, etc) online if I can find free shipping.
