Service King Collision Repair of East Mesquite

Updated review goes from 3 stars to 1 star. I tried to look it over the best I could when I picked it up but I guess sometimes you just don’t notice things. I’m seeing a lot of orange pill now and this little blemish that I snapped a shot of over now with everything in the first review and now seeing the repairs are not so great my advice is to avoid this place

Master Autobody took care of me and my car. The quality of work was high – it was like I was driving my car off the lot for the first time. Not only that, but before my car went to the shop, I didn’t have time to take out my valuable items – GPS, iPod, etc. When the car was returned, everything was still in its place. They also detailed my car – inside and out. If I ever have any other car problems (which I hope doesn’t happen), they will be the first place I call.

I was a little hesitant to bring my car for repairs here. I have yet to get the car back, so I am unsure how the repairs will fair. However, I brought my car into their shop on a Thursday. I was told I would receive a call midweek the following week for an update on my car. I was out of town, so the need for my car that week wasn’t a necessity. I waited until Thursday evening, with no contact from any one at the body shop letting me know status of the repairs. When I called Thursday, I asked John what was going on with my car and where we were at with the repairs. He claimed that he got parts late and couldn’t start working on it until Wednesday but said he would call me back Friday to update me. I never received a call. I contacted them again on Monday and wasn’t given much of an update except the same one I received Thursday (that parts were late and they were behind.) John told me he would call me back the next day, and of course customer service prevailed. (sarcasm). I didn’t receive a call. Mind you, I am back in town this week with a rental car. I was told again on Tuesday that they were behind because they had to wait for parts. Same reasons, different days. John told me that he would call me Wednesday to update me, but my car should be finished by the end of business. (I read this same situation in another review on here. so I guess they only treat certain customers with the respect of contacting with updates.) I called John again this morning (Wednesday) and was told my car would be finished by the end of the day, but John told me he would have a call out to me mid-​afternoon so I can be updated (seeing as how I have a rental car, I need to keep informed so I can extend my contract or make arrangements to return it). I waited. Still didn’t receive a call, so I took it upon myself, AGAIN, to call and verify the completion. And was greeted with another, sorry but we were behind on getting parts, your car will HOPEFULLY be ready by tomorrow. I asked John why he didn’t call me to let me know (since I do have a rental) and he kept going on tangents about waiting for the parts. I expressed my dissatisfaction with the customer service and John reassured me that the service and quality on my car would more than make up for the lack in customer service… and that there wasn’t anything more he could have really done in the matter (except keep his word that he would keep in contact through out and keep me updated.) I told him the quality of service in repairs is closely related to the quality in customer service. They go hand in hand. I would expect great customer service with a company who is providing a great service. However, if a company provides a great service with mediocre customer care, that service is worthless to me. John began getting irate with me over the phone (I could hear in his change of tone) when I was trying to express my distaste. He kept telling me there wasn’t any more they could do that he was doing everything he could possibly do… EXCEPT CALL ME. IT’S MY CAR, I NEED TO KNOW WHAT’S GOING ON. PLEASE. I informed him that I would never use their services again, and that the workmanship better be spot on. He told me it was my loss because they are great. Crap customer service doesn’t keep a company going for long, buddy. It seems as though this company is just riding the time clock to charge my insurance more than necessary. make an extra buck. The reasoning for my car taking 2 weeks for the bumper and tail light to be fixed CAN’T POSSIBLY be because the parts are late… EVERY TIME??? Needless to say, don’t use these guys. They will dick you around. And you won’t see your car for weeks. Who knows what they are actually doing over there… I wouldn’t trust them. NEXT.

I don’t get my car fixed very much, but wow! This is exactly what I expect from a body shop! I was referred here by another shop who couldn’t take my car in for awhile since they were backed up with hail damaged cars. And I was really glad they sent me here.
I worked with Rick (the owner) and he was a very friendly and helpful guy. He’s been in this business for quite awhile, so he’s got a lot of experience. Being a car enthusiast himself, he knows how to take care of cars and pays attention to the details. The service was above my expectations. I called them and let them know I was coming in with my car and they set up a ride for me to the car rental company without me having to lift a finger. I asked them to keep me up to date on the repairs, and an e-​mail was sent to me about the damage they saw underneath the surface. And it was all done within a timely manner.
Being a super-​picky person, I got my car back and noticed that my bumper was a couple millimeters off on one side. I called, then they took it back and fixed it within 30 minutes. Overall, it was a very good experience and I would highly recommend them next time something unfortunate happens to your car.
