Great food and nice people! And the car show was a plus!

Wow were to start.
First off this place is way overpriced, there family meals are overpriced.
We ordered a 4pc Fillet Meal and a Chicken Strip meal,
The fish was not deep friend all the way, it was taken out early, some parts were raw and undone, the fry’s were soggy and very greasy, the hush puppies were raw inside, not cooked 100% and greasy.
The order of Chicken Strips was BURNED, they tasted nasty, we didnt notice this until we arrived home, the toast that came with it was BURNED.
The overall taste of everything tasted like OLD GREASE, everything tasted like it was all cooked in the same grease.
If this was real home cooking i wouldnt mind paying higher prices, but it seems like this place is making it out to be a great tasting food, when its not, they claim on there facebook people drive from oklahoma to mesquite just to get fish ??

*Please Note-​I visited this establishment on 08−27−11 and I suggested that she put up a sign that stated that there was a misprint on the Groupon and she said she didnt care, she was going to stop honoring them.*
I bought two groupons for a dinner for 4 for 12 pieces of catfish, side of fries, hushpuppies, two extra sides and drinks. As I entered the establishment it was hot, with two box fans strategically placed in corners, OK, that is cool, I like box fans, but normally not at a business and its 104 outside. I walked up to the counter and waited for about 4 minutes before anyone noticed I was existent An older lade came from the back and I spoke and I told her that I wanted the 12 piece family meal and that I had a Groupon. I was immediately informed that GROUPON made an error and it should be 8 pieces of catfish instead of 12 and that she could not honor this but give me the 8 piece. Well 2 pieces of fish was not enough for the party (that drove from 4 different locations in the city). I contained my disgust and anger. I then had to pay for another meal ($ 12) to feed the four of us. When the groupon meal came out we only had TWO SIDES, 8 pieces of fish and 4 can drinks. My $ 12 meal came out (without a drink) and it was not worth $ 12. I walked up and asked for a cup of ice and hten stated that she should place a sign up stating that the GROUPON was a misprint, She then stated that she was not going to honor them anymore because of the error that THEY made. ok, whatever lady, I then watched her get into an argument with another customer because of the same «error» and that customer left very upset and did not purchase anything. The lady was really argumentative and combative and I dont see this establishment being very successful.
I have come to the bitter conclusion that majority of the businesses treat their customers like crap because of they have a «GROUPON»? As if we are second rate citizens? This is not the first time that I have had to pay extra because the business owner has decided to create their own «terms».

Wonderful mom-​and-​pop eatery. Excellent catfish and jalapeño hushpuppies. I ordered the spicy fish. Was just enough kick to let me know it was there but not too much where it dominated the dish. They also had a grilled chicken option for non-​fish eaters. Very good family restaurant vibe. Definitely on the list for a return visit.
