Great deli. Lunch on weekday was on the quiet side, but nice. The wife and I had lunch, got out for under $ 20. Food was of good quality, and ensuring was very tasty. I had the club sandwich and my wife got soup and half salad. We really liked this place. Will come again

Great deli in Mesquite– they have healthy options and their food tastes great. The service is always friendly and helpful. The restaurant is clean and usually busy but the food comes out quickly. Their menu is overwhelming with all of the options but I have tried a few things and all of them were well made. I really like their Savannah chopped salad and their chicken and dumplings soup. I wish they had goat cheese but they turned me around on gorgonzola.

We got McAlister’s Togo for dinner tonight. Sweet tea was good, pasta salad was basic, and my Spicy Southwest Chicken Griller was ehhh. For an almost $ 8 sandwich you would think that there would actually be some what of something in it. Nope. The guacamole was barely a thin line, like it just looked like green food color was put on the bread. I added black olives and jalapenos(I am a big spice person) and was disappointed to only see 3 jalapenos on my entire sandwich, and 5 small back olives. Again, this is a $ 8 «Griller» or whatever. Also, if you like spice like me, don’t get this sandwich. There was no spice. AT. ALL. I dipped it in ranch so there was some flavor with the mostly-bread-griller and only ate half of the sandwich. The rest went in the trash. I stick with Jason Deli next time.

This was my first time ever going to a McAlisters and I really liked it. The people were very nice and helpful but it did take a while to bring our food out and it was just one sandwich and a bowl of soup. It also took a while to clean up the tables, there were tables with dishes and trash on them waiting to be cleaned up. I’m giving this 4 stars for customer service and the good food.

I’ve always loved McAlister’s, and this location was no exception. From the second you walk in you’re greeted by friendly staff and the smell of toasted sandwiches gets your appetite rolling. My melt(turkey) hit the spot as expected and the Mac n cheese was nice, creamy, and cheesy. Brought my laptop with the hope of doing some work on the free wifi, but either it was ridiculously slow or just didn’t work at all which is why it gets docked a star. Other than that, delicious as always!

This place is great. The food is always excellent and the staff is always helpful. I had an issue and sent a complaint online because of my order being wrong on a To-go order. I came in and the manager over heard me telling the employee about it and immediately took care of the issue. Talk about great customer service!!! This is the kind of place that will continue to get my business!!!

I love McAlister’s Deli’s consistency and ability to deliver a great tasting meal every time. This place has the usual«deli fare» but they also offer great combo meals that can help you not only get a taste of something different every time, but can help save you a little money too. The baked potatoes are very good as well and they offer a number of toppings and ‘styles’ you can try out, even with a combo meal. The staff is just as amazing and are always helpful and friendly. Willing to help recommend a dish and give you that extra refill of delicious iced tea. If you’re in a pinch and don’t know exactly what to eat or are hungry for something different, I’d strongly recommend you check them out.

This was the first time I have visited this location. I usually go to the ones in McKinney and Plano. Those two are very similar in quality. I was a bit disappointed in the Mesquite. although it was clean and the servers were friendly, I thought the Cobb salad was very stingy on the grilled chicken. It was nothing major but enough of a difference that I felt like I would go elsewhere the next time I was visiting Mesquite at lunch time.

Today was my last time to go to the Mesquite store. Very poor management and it flows downhill. It’s clear to me that no one wants to be there. And the food… I’d rather go to the Mesquite Jason’s deli.

Every time we come here I’m disappointed. It all started with them charging for the cookies when before they can free with your meal. Everyone we order the food is bland and boring. The combinations on the menu don’t go well together. The staff is unfriendly and lack basic service skills.

Food was cold. Service slow. Restaurant was empty so there was no excuse. My son asked them to please put his plate in the microwave because it was cold. Blank stare and total apathy. I was here several times when this location was independently owned and it was much different. Too bad it was purchased by «corporate» because when owner was on site, it used to be a pretty decent place to eat.

Very good chance we will not be coming back. Poor service and poor quality good. We had sandwiches and a wrap, both were bland and with absolutely nothing special about it. I could’ve saved my money and made better tasting sandwiches at home.

Solid sandwich, and salad combo! I got the choose 2 deal. The Chicken Ceasar Salad was good, and the Sante Fe Chicken Sandwich was ok. The customer service started off a little shaky, but pleasantly took a change for the better. I will return a salad, maybe a sandwich.

Waited 25 minutes for a hot sandwich. The plates of food that were ready to be served sat up in the window so long that when the rueben arrived, it was not hot but well passed room temp. This is the third and last time. Farewell.

The food is always great. The staff can be a hit or miss. Sometimes they’re friendly and sometimes they’re not as friendly, but everyone has their good and bad days, right? There’s nothing you can pick off the menu that would be a miss! Be adventurous, try something new!

I have lunch at McAlisters’ at least once a week. I’m going to cut to the chase and tell you what I really like about this place. EVERYTHING! ok here are some specific things I like: The service. I have never been to a casual restaurant where an employee asked to help carry my things. You would think that most people would want to help when a woman comes in alone with a baby on her hip and a bunch of other things in her hands. Now imagine that and trying to carry sweet tea to a table, get some napkins and a straw AND try to get a high chair over to the table. It’s really nice to get some help sometimes. The food is amazing and fresh no doubt but I almost can’t live without my free sugar cookie. It’s not so great for them but I like that they aren’t super busy like Jason’s deli. It’s easy to find a close spot and I don’t feel wierd eating there alone. Because I love this place SO much I really want more people to eat here so they can stay around forever.

I’m so impressed with McAlister’s Deli! I’d never even heard of McAlister’s before stumbling upon this location and I haven’t tried it before now for various reasons. Thanks to a mention by Aimee Z, I trumped the boy’s request for Taco Bueno in an attempt to try and fool myself into thinking I was eating healthy and gave it a shot. I have to admit that I was prepared to be disappointed. Let’s get the bad out of the way so we can focus on the good. The reasons McAlister’s shouldn’t get 5 stars from me: 1. The staff is in no hurry to do anything. From the cashier walking away from the extra register to handle another task to the kitchen staff taking 10 minutes to make a club sandwich, these kids are in no rush. They’re not rude about it, they just move a tad slow. 2. My son witnessed 2 cooks having a food fight in the kitchen. It was a fast one and was over by the time he nudged me and told me to look. But still. A food fight? In full view of customers? Bad form. 3. It’s a tad on the expensive side(so I thought). 2 sandwiches — one of which was merely pita bread with turkey and lettuce — 2 large drinks — one of which was supposed to be a medium — and one side came to $ 16.87. A bit much for mediocre food(again, so I thought). The reasons I’m giving 5 stars: 1. These are some damned good sandwiches! My McAlister’s Club — turkey, ham, bacon, cheddar, Swiss, lettuce, tomatoes, honey mustard and lite mayo on wheatberry bread — was absolutely gorgeous. And it was ha-yuge! I counted 4 slices of ham, 5 slices of turkey, 2 slices of cheddar and one of Swiss. That’s exactly how I like my deli sandwiches — loaded. The wheatberry bread literally made me close my eyes at the first bite. It was fresh-out-of-the-oven soft and was thick enough to hold all my meat. Heheh. Seriously. The bacon was crunchy without being dry, the lettuce was fresh and crisp and the tomato was fresh and just ripe. My potato salad was exactly the way I like it and the main ingredient was potato, not onion or celery. $ 16.87 just became a bargain. 2. My sweet tea was absolutely perfect. I’m a Texan so believe me when I tell you this… it’s the best sweet tea I’ve ever tasted. They also sell it by the gallon for $ 5. I’m coming home with a gallon next time. 3. The boy’s turkey sandwich was pretty tasty and he was very happy with it, which is all I ask. He said the only better pita in town is at Stratos and that’s saying a lot from him. His lemonade wasn’t good and he went to the counter to trade for a Coke. Shortly after that, I noticed an employee taste the lemonade and frown. Soon after, the lemonade container was drained and a new batch of lemonade was made. Nice. 4. The slow but purposeful service didn’t quicken when the lunch crowd arrived and a line formed, but one employee did open a third register. Can’t ask for much more than that. I’ve been on a quest to find the best deli in town. Jersey Mike’s still holds my heart for the best subs, but McAlister’s definitely takes the lead for my favorite sandwich.
