Genghis Grill

The food here is just like at every other Genghis location. This place keeps me coming back though because of the service. The manager is the nicest man and fixes any problems that you may encounter. The waitstaff here has always been incredibly polite and they go above and beyond! I love this location!

I went on a Saturday night, wasn’t crowded, was seated immediately and received our bowl to go select the meats we wanted for dinner.
Overall, the food is average, I personally couldn’t eat all the meat, but enjoyed the vegetables. It’s a place I would recommend trying, but it’s a one time thing for me.
I certainly enjoyed watching the cooks make the food in front of you on that big stove.

New menu and new prices. Good dinner with hubby. Last time we visited was 3 years ago. Will return again.

This place is a dump, poorly run, goes down hill ever time income. I wont be back. They take for ever for a server to see you, then try and up sale you. Felt like I was buying a used car

I reviewed this place twice but I had to review the experience we had on our 3^rd visit here yesterday. Now they did go down a star the reason for that is they mixed me and my fiancée bowl up. Luckily, the bowls that we got were good, but I just felt if the guy who took our bowl paid a little more attention we would have had our original bowls.
Other than that it was a good experience. Service was good and food was tasty as usual. It just sucks that we didn’t get to eat our bowls.

The food is always prepared perfect here. I typically have poor service unless I go on non-​busy hours (aka lunch during the week or right when they open). Even then, it’s subpar. I am glad they finally took away the tablet kiosk at the tables. Those were horrible.
Their new kale and veggie potstickers are amazing. The jalepeno dipping sauce they serve with them is fantastic. I usually have to get edamame since it’s the only veggie appetizer so I’m glad they added a new one. Kudos.

This was my first time ever here. My husband had been before but this was my first time there. The server was so helpful. She walked me thru how everything worked. I got chicken, fish, scallops, calamari, broccoli, a bunch of other vegetables and the honey soy sauce which was AMAZING along with rice and noodles. We sat on the patio. She came and out and checked on us every few minutes. She was really a great waitress. She was amazing. Her name was Mandy and she was very helpful and sweet. She was really great. The food was amazing and the service was very nice. I was very pleased with my first visit. I went around 11:30am and the lunch prices were a great surprise too. I’ll definitely be back!

They have shrimp again! Tasty new apps too! The cocktail list is a bit limited but oh well. Clean store. Friendly people! Amazing food.

Service flat out sucks at this location. Like the food and concept. I consistently get horrable service here. Management does not know how to hire or run the joint. Won’t be back to this location.

Horrible service. Was seated and was told that the server would be right with us. 10 minutes later still no server. So we got up and left. On the way out I spoke to the hostess and she couldn’t care less. Do not go here. They were not busy… most were standing around not doing anything. Will not be back to this location.

I learned about this chain from a friend who took me to the one that used to be on Lemmon and I loved it. I was excited when Mesquite got theirs, and it was great for a while, but the last three times we went the wait staff has been horrible. We have not been back and have had no desire. I feel that the establishment would be better served going the way of Souper Salad putting in a drink machine and doing away with waiters all together and have an expediter deliver the food or call numbers.

I recently discovered Genghis Grill, and love the food, however, tonight (saturday night), my 12 year old daughter and I went to the one in Mesquite, after putting the raw meat, including raw chicken, on our plate to be cooked, we discovered the bathrooms had been flooded and there was no way to wash our hands.
I can’t even imagine the health inspector would allow a restaurant that allows guest to handle raw food, to stay open with no way for guest to wash their hands,

I decided to visit this location due to me being in town to visit family. We got our food to go and the servers were just rude including the manager once we asked for her. One of the waitress waived my food all over the place (trashcan by the bar and causing several people to breathe on my food) due to her looking for a lid to place on my to go order. The waitress seemed unbothered by the unsanitary act as well as the manager.
I use to love to go to this location, but when I went this past time it was dirty and just a new vibe.
I will not be returning.

The one star review is all thanks to the staff. Specifically the staff member that decided to use obscene language when bringing my party items that were omitted from most of our orders. Saying «Here’s your f***ing food.» in Spanish as he brought the items to our table, then smiling and saying «Here you go.» in English as he placed them on he table. Unacceptable and inexcusable, but this is the general attitude of the staff at this location.

The service and food at this location is terrible. Took a while to get seated and the lady who seated us was not happy and a bit rude. Rolled her eyes when we changed our minds about ordering to go then wanting to dine in instead. I get it, long hours and dealing with people everyday is rough. I’ve been there. But if you’re going to be rude because you hate your job then don’t work. Or suck it up. The food there was disgusting too. I went to the one in Addison and it was much nicer and cleaner. Our waitress here was wonderful at least. But I won’t be coming back to this location.

Love this place! Always delicious, service is sometimes a toss up, but great food.

Service is ridiculous. Mangers are ridiculous. They were out of everything and making excuses for everything. The Manger admitted to putting regarding soy sauce in with the low sodium ones too. Overall, service and staff a big thumbs down. Higher ups need to reevaluate this chain.

Ate here back in November for my birthday bowl. Food was very good and service was good too. My only complaint is that they took the shrimp off the menu. Now how can you be an Asian food restaurant with no shrimp. Apparently it is too expensive to keep on the menu, but with as expensive as the food is, I don’t see how they could take it off the list. Nonetheless, I will still return because the food is good!

We visited in celebration of my little brothers birthday. Our waiter, Jeff took us to our table and wished him a happy birthday. I’ve always thought you couldn’t expect much of a waiter during lunch rush, but we were blown away by Jeff’s service to us. He kept our drinks full, made sure we had everything we needed, and kept a smile on his face. We were fully satisfied, but it only got better. I was about to pay, and he brings out two brownies and two heaping scoops of ice cream! Unnecessary but totally complimentary! How nice of him. Happy with the service we received today.

Tried to take my lil loves to one of our favorite spots for dinner tonight… and had the worst experience. It has left me with the oddest feeling, almost like being cheated on, but by a restaurant, and on Valentine’s Day, no less.
I’ve been making the EXACT same bowl at Genghis Grill for as long as I can remember (almost 10 yrs). Exactly the same, every time. You know those bowls are so damn small, if you get any kind of veggies on top of the meat they just roll out onto the floor… So I get my spinach first, roll it up, then my meat and then on down the line like everyone else.
Do you know they tried to tell me I had to pay $ 5 extra to get veggies before meat???
As I stand there dumbfounded, the manager comes to tell me why… he first lies to me by saying it’s a «Health Code violation»…When I called him on it, since it would be BLATANTLY ILLEGAL for him to charge $ 5 for allowing someone to violate a health code… he back peddled and said it was to deter people from doing it.
One would figure that in the spirit of good customer service and the fact that it was valentines day a good manager would offer to waive the fee this time, but know the new rule next time, nope, he stood there and demanded I pay $ 5.
Whatever was in our bowls, left behind I had to walk out with a crying 9 year old, because remember this is one of my family’s favorite places to eat. You insulted me by lying to me, refused to treat the customer as they should be treated, and made my kid cry on valentine’s day… you will never take another dime of my money ever again, no matter how fantastic your food is. I only hope the other locations don’t have this most ridiculous asinine rule.
