Babies R Us

I am not a Mom, I am a Dad, so take that as you may.
Like most Dad’s, I was brought in here by my wife to register for gifts for our baby shower for our upcoming baby. I like the scanner guns, and I must say that I cannot imagine a place having much more baby stuff in it. Yes, you can find some great stuff at Target and other places, so do shop around, but there is an impressive collection of Baby stuff at this location in Mesquite, which is a stand-​alone and not combined with Toys-​R-​Us like most locations.
Prices can run on the high end, but hey, you are not going to buy the stuff right? You are just telling other people to buy it for you, lol. All in all, not bad. I really liked the chair section, where I could have a seat while my wife walked around with my mother in law and scan things that we will likely sell on facebook in 2 years, lol.

Wow, I hadn’t been to this Babies R Us in many, many years. I walked inside and was immediately stuck by how ghetto it looked inside. The floors were nasty. The whole place needs to be remodeled and revamped. Depressing vibe. Maybe it’s just that side of town — I’m just glad I don’t have babies that I need to shop for. ;-(

The parking lot was so dirty, and it felt like the store was dirty too. Their gliders didn’t have prices and they were stained and gross. The employees seemed like they were too busy to be bothered by questions. We’ll drive past this location to go another 30 miles to the next one. Needs some serious cleaning.

It’s okay. not any different than any other Babies R US. Service could do better.

I have been to this Babies store a few times in the past few years and every time I cannot get the registry to print my friends page. I do exactly what it says and it does not work. Today I just went to the registration area and stood there for a long time while an employee talked on the phone. She never made eye contact with me or acknowledged my presence. I finally gave up and left. I know you are busy with a customer? but show you know I am there.
What is the deal with bad service??? I am not asking for anything extra, just to be helped when I ask for it.
