The act I paid to watch had their act killed off early despite being their best performance that night. The next act came on and talked shit about the other acts which started fights. Security is uptight and self rightious, and honestly shouldn’t be working as any kind of guard or enforcement. All in all, this venue has became very unprofessional and shady since their management shifted.

There was no food or projector screenings Music could have been bumpin louder but had fun with the space there was! All that matters was how the performance went. It was great, I really wish I could relive it again. Over and over again

Decent venue. Don’t prefer the layout but sometimes the building doesn’t fit the vision! Still a great venue with cheap shows, you can see some solid acts at.

Lots of fun. Most of the time you get to meet the artist. NO Food. The drinks are great. Friendly staff.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Even that is too good for this pit. Super sketchy venue in super ghetto strip mall. Overpriced tickets and drinks. And, if that weren’t bad enough, overpaid rent-a-cop at the door expects you to have a smile on your face when he hand wands you. If you don’t he flies off the handle and threatens to not let you in.(Power trip much??) Never had that experience at a club before. If they have to have an unbalanced ape working the door to ask if you have drugs, alcohol or weapons and then hand wand you, to me that says sketchy and a place I want to steer clear of. There are so many other clubs in the valley that value the customer and want your business. Avoid this dump at all costs and spend your money elsewhere. You’ll be glad you did!

Eh… no frills event building in a strip mall. Most people working that I interacted with were just fine. The one thing I notice they need to be clear about is when the doors open and when bands take the stage. In both cases they advertise inconsistently between tickets and online ads and the venue’s online schedule. Sound was eh… could hear sound bleeding into the venue I was in from the one next door. Not sure I would want to make the trip again to see an event in this place.

Club Red brings in some pretty good bands, but their sound quality stinks! If you have any appreciation for music, avoid this venue. Either their equipment needs help or their sound techs do(maybe both). We went to the Alcest concert last night. The vocals from all three bands were obliterated by the loudness of the instruments. Ghostwalk’s lead singer could barely be heard above the guitars. Emma Ruth Rundle, with her haunting melodic voice, looked like she was singing silently into the mic. Good thing her guitar skills rock, because that was all we could hear. And the headliner — Alcest… the sound quality was a crime. Great drums… pretty much all you heard. The guitars came through loud and the backup vocals could be heard better than the lead vocal. He was hardly audible at all, unless he spoke while the instruments were quiet. Seriously, Club Red, get your act together if you are going to feature anything other than crap noise. On the positive side, their staff were pleasant and did a good job. Bartender was pretty good too.

The absolute worst worst venue in the east valley, maybe in all of AZ. Sound sucks, over priced drinks and terrible business ethics for aspiring artists. Plus they will no longer have hiphop which is scarce already in AZ. DAMNYOU club red for what you have done to our beloved scene.

After experiencing the latest and greatest this place has hit the one star category. Updates; Sound system in a 1992 Honda Civic sounds better than this garbage. They have hired nazi mall cops as security. Parking lot gets very sketchy at night. All the good shows have moved back to the Nile and rebel lounge… Spend your money elsewhere.

Hot and small, but yelawolf is here so everything is going to be okay. There is 2 bars and a beer stand so between the three it’s fairly easy to get a drink. Edit. Sound here FUCKINGSUCKS

I was concerned after reading the reviews but all my concerns were abated. There was security, but there wasn’t anything extreme about them. Drinks are priced at club prices. The venue was clean. I felt no anxiety about the area. Sound was good. Not a lot of décor but I was there for Voltaire, not the scenery. We’d come back.

I have never been to a place where the security staff gave zero fucks. Other people and myself were being physically harassed by a really big fat dude in your venue this very night for authority zeros anniversary show. You’re security did nothing about it, some one even fell down because of him hitting and plus creeping on younger girls. I will never return to this venue again until your staff actually cares about patrons safety. Your incompetence ruined the whole show for myself and others.

Where do I begin on this one? First off… an upgrade from the last Club Red. Almost a 2.0…maybe too much of an upgrade. We like our RnR dirty and sleazy and in shit hole bars… this is like a palace. Kick ass awesome stage, nice bathrooms and the sound quality was top notch. BUT…$ 20 to enter to see Tribute band was wicked high, and to walk in at 10pm… there was maybe 40 people in the place. Bartenders were lack luster, I bought 2 drinks($ 14) gave him a hundred dollar bill, got $ 6 back… HEY! Don’t think so, but he made it right. Cans of Beer and doing shots out of plastic jello shot cups is pretty pathetic. I miss the old Club Red, it’s going to take a lot to get me back in this place, and if I do, I will do some major pre-gaming in the parking lot before I have to come in.

I went to Club Red for a concert. The good things about this club were that the staffs were nice(the bouncers were nice too). There were lots of parking spaces — you probably will never have to worry about parking), and the spaces for the venues were pretty big — the layout inside was efficient because there were separate areas for the tables in the back and another front area for standing for the stage. The drinks are reasonably priced. Some of the cons include that the club is not in the best location — I wish it were near more bars or clubs. Also, there isn’t much ventilation inside, so it gets pretty stuffy inside. The biggest drawback, however, was the awful sound system. If the club is going to have concerts and music, they definitely need to upgrade their systems or hire better people to balance the sounds. Overall, okay club.

It’s not often that I go to shows featuring well-known artists. Venues tend to be stuffy, overpriced, full of rude staff, and with drink prices off the freaking charts. It’s usually much more of a hassle than it’s worth just trying to have fun for three hours. Fortunately, Club Red made my night much more enjoyable. Pros: –Great parking. Don’t complain about the location, they need all this space! –Drink prices are fair. $ 6 cans of average craft beer like Sierra Nevada, $ 5PBR tallboys… you could do MUCH worse. –Staff is nice. Security was always polite when needing to bust through some crowds to grab some idiot. They also didn’t even bother interrupting anyone’s good time to catch the 100+ stoners in the audience. I have never had someone be cordial to me while running a metal detector over me. Everyone is chill except the guy checking tickets at the door, who really seems to hate his life. Cons: –Poor design: Venue itself is linear, and all around poorly designed. As others have said, the sound quality leaves much to be desired. The sound/light controls are in the middle of the floor, instead of the back… because there’s no room for it in the back. If you need to leave the building, or even just go to the restroom, the doorways are WAY, WAY too freaking narrow. –Ventilation: Holy shit guys, I don’t have anything against smokers, but there was a cloud billowing out the back door once the show was over. It was way stuffy in there as well. Overall, I feel as though this is a less-than-ideal space with stellar staff who make the most of it. The booze didn’t break the bank, and no one was a dick to me for the entire night, so I’m willing to forgive a lot. I wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Good sound but otherwise not a fan. Long line to be searched/metal detected before you go in. We paid $ 11 for a small bottle of water and one very small, weak mixed drink. There is hardly any seating which gets old after a few hours on a concrete floor. The stage is so high up it’s like sitting in the front row at a movie theater, it hurts your neck. OK if you’re in the back, though. I’ll only return if it’s an awesome band.

I left a bad review for this place and promised I would never go back there… but a band I really like was playing so I gave it another shot. Staff was way better this time… everyone was nice. Drinks still cost too much… its a venue though so its to be expected. I’ll go back if somebody awesome plays there.

This is the worst club I’ve ever been to. I purchased a ticket to see Rif Raf, but didn’t know who was opening. So I called to fin! out, but was sent to voice mail. Turns out there were 4 opening acts which bored me so much that I fell asleep. I was woken up by a security gard who kicked me out. So I didn’t get to see the show I paid to see. I’ll never go there again.

Went to watch The Green and J Boog last night. The place is a good size and has quick bartenders. They also have a huge parking lot. Only con i had was the lack of seating. There were a few tables with chairs, but i think they could line some chairs up along the wall for people who prefer to sit and enjoy the show. Overall, a clean venue! I would definitely come back depending on the performer.

Terrible sound & air ventilation! I’ve been to 2 shows in the past 2 weeks and both have been awful. Could barely hear the bands at all. They’ve even mentioned how bad they sound in between songs. Unfortunately looks like we’ll be missing some of our favorites if they play here in the future. Nothing against small venues at all — actually like them a lot but many things lacking here. The only thing that’s working for this place is quick service at the bar and clean bathrooms.

Horrible!!! The location is very strange, tucked away in the corner of a shopping mall that nothing is near. Half ass sign, the only reason I knew I had the correct location was all the cars outside. I have never seen more security at any other show! These people search you top to bottom and even have a metal detector wand! The only thing that was nice was the sound. The mixed drinks were nasty and I have never sweated so much! They have no air conditioning! I hate this place!

The venue is now HUGE! The old Club Red was pretty small and this location can hold much larger shows. I would compare the new Club Red to The Nile Theatre as far as layout, but this one has a bar, thankfully! It was a sweaty, sweaty show, and it wasn’t even summer time. It’s October. It’s ok though. I actually had a really good time when I saw Senses Fail last week. The sound was really good and I was able to get close enough to see the stage. I’m pretty short, so I’m not usually in luck at concerts and the floor is just flat so I can’t even stand at the back of the room to get a better view. Overall this venue was fine. I know it’s better than it was and that’s really all you can hope for in life! Keep bringing good bands here and I’ll be back. Rock on!
