Arizona Indoor Air Quality and Environmental Testing

I live (d) in an apartment that had signs of serious mold growing in the HVAC system. (Apt #1), Mgmt tried to «clean» the old ducts that had deteriorated fiberglass insulation and black mold growing inside. I moved into another apt at same complex. I cross-​contaminated the second one (Apt 2) with both mold spores and fiberglass shards.(microscopic). Before I set up an appt with this company, he told me they tested for ALL molds. fungus and mycotoxins. NOT SO! First, I had aired out the apartment for close to 2 months. As it was getting cold, I refused to turn on the heat as whatever is in there seems to thrive on heat. I moved into an extended stay hotel, and so the air quality was NOT the same as it had been when it was during 100 degree days in the summer, and didn’t replicate the air quality I had been living in the complex for 4 months. After some research online, I discovered you are NOT supposed to air out your home prior to testing. The tech also told me they only tested for «specific» molds, and not the entire range of fungus, mycotoxins, and molds. He refused to look inside the black moldy ducts, and after $ 500+ dollars received a false negative. I have been ill for close to 4 months. It is absolutely debilitating. It was up to the owner of this company to tell me to replicate the air I was living in, and was told a different story by the tech regarding what they actually test. Their vehicle broke down on the way to Tucson as they work out of Phoenix. It should have been a red flag. The owner will not even give me a dime back. Do NOT trust the results of this firm’s tests!!!
