Renu Body Spa and Salon

I booked myself and bridal party at Renu for my wedding. They have you sign a contract recommending that you have your hair trial booked a few weeks before your wedding day. They also state that they will make you feel tranquil and radiant and that your wedding trial is a direct reflection on how you will look and feel on your wedding day. I booked my hair trial a month before my wedding. I brought in a few pictures and was open to my professional stylist’s suggestions. She said that hair style I picked would work. After completing my hair I left the salon very unhappy, my hair looked awful, it looked like a child that was learning how to braid did my hair. I showed my friends and they were shocked by how poorly my hair looked. I went shopping after my trial and my hair literally just fell out. The bobby pins were falling on the ground and stabbing my neck. I contacted the salon and they told me that the trial is a «rough draft» to give you the chance to see what you like and don’t like. They state directly in their contract that the way you feel at your trial is how you will feel on your wedding day. I felt terrible; I didn’t feel radiant or tranquil. I did not have the confidence that they could make my hair or my bridesmaids hair look beautiful on my wedding day. You are supposed to feel most beautiful on your wedding day and my hair felt awful. They quoted me a price for my trial and charged me $ 10 more when I came in. When I asked about it they stated prices are subject to change. I stated I did not feel comfortable returning the salon and I did not want my bridesmaids getting their hair done at their salon. I asked for my $ 200 deposit back and they stated they would only send me $ 80 back for my make-​up deposit and they would KEEP my $ 122 since I didn’t give them a 60 day notice to cancel our appointments. I have a very small bridal party of only 4 people and it is on a Friday. I gave them a 30 day notice that I believe was more than fair due to their lack of bridal hair skills. They stated I would not receive my $ 122 since it was in the contract that they require a 60 day notice, they also broke their contract by not making me feel beautiful, radiant or tranquil. Also like I stated earlier they recommend coming in a few weeks before your wedding, but require a 60 day cancelation notice, so when you come in for your trial and they do not deliver you are basically stuck with them because they will refuse to refund your money. I gave them my address to send my check to, which took 2 weeks to get to my house because they used the wrong address. I would highly recommend to go elsewhere to get your hair done if you would like you hair to look beautiful and don’t want to be out $ 122.

I loved my pampering pedicure experience at Renu Salon and Spa! I tend to be a crazy over-​researcher and I did a lot of digging to try and find a great nail spot in the Nashua/​Merrimack area. I am so happy I chose Renu!
From the moment I walked in, Tiffany made me feel super welcome. She offered my sister and I drinks (wine, beer, coffee, tea, or soda) and showed us to the nail polish wall to pick out a color! I felt so bad about accidentally dropping one which splattered all over the floor. Fortunately they were joking around with me about it and were more than gracious about the ordeal!
Now for the pedicure itself! It was such a treat!!! Instead of using the whirlpool jet tubs, which can be not the cleanest, they use these huge stainless steel bowls with rocks at the bottom, which I loved! The water was warm and bubbly and I instantly felt relaxed! Tiffany and Abby were our pedicure gals, and they were super efficient and really friendly. They were chatty with us throughout the whole appointment and the conversation was fun and easygoing.
We each got the classic pedicure, which involved the basic foot soak, a nice sugar scrub (they make their scrubs from scratch each month!), and a relaxing lotion application with massage. They also managed all the other usual stuff with our cuticles, filing, buffing, etc. I felt they were pretty meticulous.
Tiffany’s mom (the owner) also came around to see how we were and she was equally nice and conversational. It was truly a great start to our morning and well worth the price for the service we got! I definitely will return next time I am visiting!

I have been going to Renu since they opened a few years ago. I go tanning, get my haircut/​colored, manicures/​pedicures, and eyebrows waxes there. I have had a few different hair stylists and I love every single one.
I had a bad haircut a few years ago after deciding to donate 12″ (somewhere else). I returned to Renu two days later and had Stacy fix it. She did an amazing job! Tiffany and Lisa (the owners) are the nicest ladies also! They are so welcoming and always make you feel at home there. And for pedicures/​manicures/​eyebrows I go see Abby because she does a fantastic job and is extremely nice as well!
I can not say enough good things about this salon! I love it!

I’ve had two manicures here so far, and I’m impressed with the attention to detail. Very friendly nail technicians and beautiful work! I will be back!

I have had several services at Renu, gel manicure, pedicures, spray tan and Kathy has done my haircuts and color. I feel that the friendliness and how you are made to feel when you walk into a salon is right up there in importance with the quality of the services, and everyone at this salon is so friendly and warm.
The quality of all the services at Renu has been great (am pretty picky!) I switched to Renu from another highly rated salon that I went to for many years, and I have not been disappointed and will return to Renu.

I had a few services here last year– everyone was very friendly nice but I can’t really say the actual services were the best I have ever had. The spray tanning didnt last as long as I was told it would and it wasnt the best spray tanning ive had. The waxing (a non wax material that is supposedly better for your skin) didnt remove all the hair (left a ton of small, fine hairs) and made my upper lip break out a bit. Cant say I will be back. I feel bad because they were all really nice people. If you have done the salon thing at other places though, you will notice a difference in the services– not as good. Wish it had worked out better, convenient location for me.

I’m new to the area, having moved here from NYC earlier this year. I’ve bean looking for a place to have my pedicures done. Maybe as a NY’er my standards are very high — definitely I am particular. I want a pedicure that makes my cuticles perfectly non-​existent. After my pedicure at Renu, they looked soft and well moisturized. This morning it’s obvious though that I did not get the treatment I asked for. Granted, I’m obsessed with having no cuticle around the nail at all. In NYC, that is exactly what I get — for $ 19 dollars, plus soak and massage. Though my local place there is no spa, nor refined.
One more critique … a new (?) employee checked to see if my pedicure was dry by pressing the big toenail. An experienced employee did the polish remover swipe to get rid of the fingerprint, but this morning I see the print it still there.
On a positive note … Renu is a spa, not a manicure/​pedicure only business. Jenn who did my pedicure was very professional and friendly. She provided a very fine spa experience, and I enjoyed chatting with her. It was my birthday, so she poured me a nice glass of white wine. That was super sweet and cool.
Renu is a fine place for that overall spa experience we all enjoy. But if you are particular about a certain pedicure technique, they may not offer it. For the price of a spa pedicure, you’ll want to double check when you book your reservation.

I live in Merrimack and used to work in Boston, so I’ve been to some of the best salons on Newbury street and have had some really great, and really awful, experiences in the city at Salons! It’s always scary to try a new salon as a woman, but I run by Renu almost every day and knew I needed to try it for an upcoming wedding I was attending as a guest. It always looks neat and clean on the outside.
From the time I called to book at Renu, everyone was unbelievably nice. They knew exactly what I wanted on the phone — just an afternoon to get my hair and make up done and nothing too over the top as I was just a guest, not in the wedding. I bought the Unilocal $ 30 for $ 40 promotion and was so happy I tried Renu.
I arrived for my appointment and Jen took me right on time for my up do. The salon was full of energy and was spotless. I had a picture of a loose, low bun and Jen totally ran with it. She made sure every step of the way it was what I wanted before she pinned or sprayed. The up do did not look identical to the picture because she added her own touches like these really fun twists in the back. When I saw the back of it in the picture that night, I was so excited with the way it looked. It was loose but fun and perfect for the occasion.
Amanda took me right after Jen did my hair for my make up. Can I see these two every weekend or before I have something to go to? I don’t wear too much makeup really, but I wanted to look like myself still, but special for the occasion, and Amanda did exactly that. I made a comment about something I didn’t want but she knew what I meant and ran with that too.
When I left Renu, I knew I’d be back. I felt like a princess thanks to Jen and Amanda. Calling to book a cut soon and will definitely give their spray tanning a try. I highly recommend this salon. It’s clean, convenient, and everyone is so nice and talented.

I scheduled an appointment at Renu for a Swedish Massage, and I certainly wasn’t disappointed. Jessica did a great job at helping me feel relaxed while working on some trouble spots I didn’t know I had. One hour certainly wasn’t long enough!
The salon was clean and had a great setup for hair and nails, and the spa area had doors that closed to keep out the noise from the salon. I was very impressed with the salon and staff, and made another appointment to come back.
