Nice hotel — friendly, helpful staff, very clean and tidy, good price, good location too.
Jacuzzi wasn’t working though, and having to pay for breakfast? Boooo. (I’d rather have a selection of fruit — apples/​grapes/​oranges/​bananas and granola bars or something, than a hot meal I have to pay for).

They got lots of good bacon!

Only 2 floors with no elevator but they will help you carry your bags!
And nobody can beat the price!
Has a feeling of a cabin more than a hotel but that’s ok.

Oddly enough, this was the cheapest hotel we visited on a trip from VA to IL. I was pleasantly surprised.
Our room was huge. We were able to set up the pack and play for the baby and still had more than enough room to move around. The bed and linens were comfortable. Both the bed and the bathroom were spotlessly clean.
My husband enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. He was expecting muffins on paper plates. Instead, he was delighted to find a hot breakfast served on real plates. Seriously, he raved about the bacon for the rest of the trip.
If I were to ever find myself in the area again, I would certainly stay here.

Best Price and nicest, cleanest room so far for our cross country trip. A little hard to find in the darkness but defiantly worth it. I’d give it 5 stars for low price hotel.

We were planning our 30^th anniversary trip from Green Bay to Nashville. We were looking for a mid-​point stop over. We wanted to get about a half hour south of Chicago and chose Merrillville, IN. I used Priceline’s express deal feature and they steered us to this place. I am soo glad they did! Very clean and comfortable room. Safe and pleasant location. Very friendly and helpful staff. We did not try the breakfast but it looked good. (There is a Dennys nearby and I LOVE breakfast there). We got a GREAT BARGAIN through Priceline, but this hotel is even worth the money at the rack rate. I won’t say that about every place I stay.

Great service clean rooms nice coference rooms. We will definitely be using this place again. Our 3^rd hotel in the area and we gound the winner.

We got this hotel through Express Deals. Definitely for the cost it was a good deal. Nothing stands out, the hotel is dated that is clear, there is no waterfall when you walk in. My husband said it felt like we were going to a lodge. It would be cool if they could theme it that way a little more when you walk in. In the room the first thing I check is the bathroom. Clear, no problems (no rusty pipes, dirty tub, caulking issues, toilet back ups). The room was shaped oddly for me but not a big issue. The main problem I had was with my bed, it was very soft and felt it dipped in the middle. I didn’t have a back ache when I woke up but it wasn’t the most comfortable sleep. Not sure if it is worth the hassle of me asking to switch rooms. We are here for a conference around the corner. So definitely for the price I think it is comfortable room and the accommodations are good. The staff was genuinely friendly upon arrival and they were able to check me in early which was nice as we flew into Chicago early in the morning, had breakfast in the city and then began our trek to the hotel. I was more than ready to lie down at that point. Glitz and glamour don’t describe this hotel but they have stable and solid accommodations.
