We went there for the first time and were greeted like we were old friends. The entire staff was helpful and friendly. All of our food tasted fantastic and done to our specifications. We will be back there again soon!

Just came here for the first time and absolutely loved it! The ambiance is really nice and with the front doors open you get a nice summer breeze. The service was awesome, our waitress Cathleen was super sweet and attentive and left an even more positive impression on our experience. I had the grilled salmon which was cooked perfectly. My boyfriend had the French dip which he said was mouth watering with every bite. Our cocktails were perfectly mixed, not too strong not too weak. We will definitely be back!

The ambiance was the first thing that made an impression on me — very open, chic, and modern. Their beer selection is pretty big and is purely craft beers so this is a great spot for beer connoisseurs — they even do flights which was awesome! The food was pretty good but it was a bit pricey. I went on a slow day but it’s supposed to be a hot spot on the weekends. Would definitely recommend this place as long as you are willing to spend a little extra money.

Food was good but it seemed as if they were understaffed and a few other negatives. It seemed as if our waiter was one of the only ones there tonight. I saw him running up the stairs to take care of the tables on the second floor as well as many tables in our vicinity. We were seated at some random table which looked like was just put together to seat us. They had to search for chairs and place settings. 2 out of 3 water glasses matched and I got a tiny wine glass as a water glass. The waiters kept bumping into one of my friends due to the random placed table we were seated at. I ordered a captain and diet coke. First time I was brought a Jack and coke. Second time it was Jack and diet coke. The waiter came back about 10 minutes later to see if my drink was better. When I told him it was still Jack he insisted that he watched it being poured and it was captain(it was definitely NOT Captain Morgan) Finally at the end of the night, 2 of us ordered a beverage. One seltzer and one cappuccino. It took them 15 minutes to make a cappuccino! Again, food was good but service was horrible. This is the 2nd time going to this resturaunt. We didn’t have this experience the first time but it was during the week. We will try it one more time due to the fact the food is good.

Family of 4 out on a beautiful Saturday morning looking for brunch. We came across this place. Good service, the server was friendly and kind. We were disappointed with the food. Waffle was hard. Fried chicken wasn’t great. If you are looking for a brunch place, I would not recommend this place. However do not judge my review for bar food and drinks. It might be a different ballgame.

I was searching for a new place to eat for a friend and I and came across Savoy Tavern so I made reservations for Saturday March 12th. All I can say is WOW! I will begin with the décor. There was a fireplace on when entering the restaurant which created a cozy and warm feeling. The bar area was all granite surrounded by some dark wood. The ceilings were very high with beautiful soft lighting. When looking up I noticed there was a second floor as well. The place was bustling with people, but we were seated very fast. The service was impeccable. Our waitress, Lisa came over immediately. She was extremely attentive, pleasant and helpful throughout the meal even though she was servicing a big area. The menu had small plates, large plates, and a variety of food. We started with the baked Clams Oreganata. We found them to be tasty and couldn’t wait to lap up the sauce with the bread. Then we shared our two dishes. The short ribs melted in your mouth like butter! The mashed potatoes were creamy and had just enough gravy on them. The Shrimp Toscano potion was huge. We couldn’t believe the size and the quantity of shrimp that were on top of the linguini. The dish needed a little salt added to it but that was easy to correct! The grand finale was a toss up between the Apple Cobbler or the Carrot Cake. I asked the waitress which she could suggest and she said definitely go with the warm Apple cobbler and boy was she RIGHT! I just wish it was a bit hotter. I can’t wait to go back again and also try their brunch and happy hour! Definitely give this place a try and I guarantee most or all will be over joyed!

A boutique looking bar akin to that of a gatsby era speakeasy, a second floor for dining, and a main dining area spilling out into the street are the hallmarks of this gastropub. With a short and sweet brunch menu it’s easy to pick something tasty(less the breakfast burrito), however one must control their appetite as this sunday booze cruise will come to an abrupt halt the moment your flatware is clean. I suggest going only slightly hungry as the portions aren’t large and you’re going to want to pace yourself as you might want to keep the Mimosas, bloody marys or bellinis coming.

They had an extensive collection of beers — all great choices. My friend and I both got a flight to try a bunch out. Food was good. We had the Red Quinoa & Iceberg Salad, Savoy’s Fried Chicken & Waffle, with a side a sweet potato fries. They were all solid choices. Personally enjoyed the salad the most. Service was great and they even offered us a discount for future brunch! Good place to go for happy hour(M-F 4−7pm)

Absolutely fell in love with this place. Walk in and it’s immediately cozy. Warm wood, fire place and huge bar. Beer selection is on point but I wasn’t in the mood for a beer so asked to look at the wine list. GREAT selection of wines, much bigger than anything I was expecting. Got a glass of the Red Diamond Pinot Noir. Perfect. Being the hungry person I am grabbed the bar menu, wonderful choices but was looking for something a little more. Full menu had exactly what I was looking for, got the burrata caprese app and grilled chicken kale salad. Wonderful filling flavors and just the right about of full to order one more glass of wine. Soooooo recommend this place. Can’t wait to come back!

I went with a big group around Christmas and it was BEAUTIFUL! So cozy, so festive, so comfortable — even for a big group. The first time I went I ordered the French dip sandwich — very filling. The second time I went I ordered a salad — also very filling(which pleasantly surprised me). They have a very nice beer selection and an extremely pleasant wait staff. I highly recommend checking it out and will be returning again soon!

I’ve been here before and thought I checked in and wrote a review– but I guess not lol Anyway– I was here again and I have good things to say here– so listen up! Haha I have eaten dinner here before and thoroughly enjoyed the food. This time I didn’t really do «dinner» just had a few small appetizers. First off, the atmosphere is definitely cool. It’s a big place, dim lights, and I do love the big fire lamp thingies they have out front. They have a bar section and a dining section so it’s nice to be able to choose where you wanna sit if you plan to order food. The servers are very pleasant and accommodating as well. I think some nights they have live music as well– but you’d probably have to check their site or call to see. This visit, I ended up ordering a drink which was nice and strong so they definitely aren’t stingy on the alcohol which is great! I wanted some«pick food» so I ended up ordering this pita bread and hummus appetizer, also a meatballs appetizer, and a side dish of macaroni and cheese. I literally placed the order and I’m not even kidding– within ten minutes all three things were at my table. I’ve never seen service that fast in my life lol it might have been even less than ten mins! I don’t know if it was because they were getting ready to close the kitchen or whatnot– but it was very impressive. Best part is, I was starving so to get my food that fast– was awesome haha And the food was great on top of it! Absolutely no complaints about that! Above all, definitely a good experience. They are a bit pricey and they do close kinda early for having a bar area, but it’s definitely worth stopping in and checking out! You get your money’s worth.

Went to Savoy Tavern on a beer flight groupon recently and really enjoyed our experience. Great selection of beers and a knowledgable staff. The flight came out with each of the glasses labeled accordingly and a generous portion poured for each. For food we enjoyed the mussels, lobster Mac n cheese, pretzel and tuna tartare. Service was on point and décor was classy. Definitely recommended.

As soon as I walked into the Savoy Tavern I remembered that it had once been the beloved The Crease. I was immediately in awe of the high ceilings, dark wood accents and stunning red banquettes. The stone bar is long and ample, with a backdrop of mirror, 2 large tv’s and an impressive collection of Bourbon and Scotch… well stocked in general. But the amount of different and exciting craft beers make this a place that I could definitely continue to visit and never become bored with the selections. I loved how the beer menu grouped the brews in categories such as «strong and boozy«, «toasted and nutty«» fruity and spicy«and«hoppy». Each category listing the ABV, pour size and price. This is the first time that I have seen this and it made narrowing down my 4 choices for a flight a bit easier. Lee M and I arrived at an odd time in between brunch and dinner, in time for the second half of the Fins/Eagles game. We had so much fun trying to select our choices… writing them down on the flight coaster that would later come back to us filled and allowed us to remember what we chose. Funny that we both picked the Victory Moonglow Weizenbock and Jonas Bronck Thai Wheat Beer as two of our four choices. My other picks were the Unibroue La ReSolution and the dark Boulder Shake Chocolate Porter Nitro. I loved the flavor of the nitro but prefer a bit more fizz to my beer. Lee happily swapped one of his with me. The nicest part about it being a quieter time at the bar was our ability to interact with Bianca, one of the most knowledgeable mixologists that I have ever met. She knew so much about the craft beers and was eager to share her thoughts with us. She also shares our love for all things spicy !!! Her passion seems to also be evident in her fine cocktails as we were blown away by a seemingly exotic rendition of an Old Fashioned, made with Michter’s Rye, over one large ice cube, garnished with a lemon ribbon twist and Earl Greyy and cognac infused Ranier cherries… it was one of the most lucious cocktails that I have ever had. I can’t wait to try more of her creations in the near future. To go with our flights, we shared an ample pot of Beer Mussels. small but plump in a bath of Peroni lager, grainy Dijon mustard and roasted garlic. The warm crusty bread was soft and airy inside, perfect to soak up the sauce. We had such a nice afternoon, too bad the Eagles can’t say the same !!!

Nice leisurely hour spent slowly sipping a beer flight and watching the Eagles fall apart. Beer menu impressive and pours nicely sized for the abv. Enjoyed all of my choices. The Alesmith Decadence 2015 at 10% was excellent. Lisa E. Traded off her Boulder Shake Chocolate Porter Nitro because it wasn’t carbonated enough for her– lucky me! I found it spectacularly creamy and cocoa forward. Yes like an adult chocolate shake with a thick creamy head– nice! Beer mussels were tender and the crusty loaf soaked in the garlicky sauce good to the last decadent bite!

If I could give this place a 4.5 star rating, then I would(but I can’t give half-star ratings). I went for brunch. My food was great. The restaurant looks very nice(well decorated, clean, classy). The service was very good. The food was very good /great. I got the steak and eggs brunch dish, a cappuccino, and the apple cobbler. I posted photos of my dishes. I absolutely recommend going to this restaurant. See the attached photos of the dishes I ate. The parking is not so great at the restaurant, but they are next to the Merrick train station, and there is a lot of free(and legal) parking across the street in the train station’s parking lot.

Beer selection is on point and what stands out most is the service. The two bartenders Bianca and John really go the extra to make an average night extraordinary. They have fantastic beer knowledge and an extensive knowledge of the menu. If you’re in the area and they are working, I’d stop in!

A great way to start off my vacation! We ordered shrimp skewers with chorizo and it was absolutely delicious! The meatballs are a must! As an appetizer or a meal, they are uniquely blended mixed meats– let the educated server tell you! I don’t want to ruin the surprise :) it’s delicious! I had swordfish with mussels that were perfectly flavored. The ingredients were all fresh, the ambiance was dimly lit and elegant, and all the staff were friendly, courteous, and efficient. The only thing that wasn’t perfect was the fries my boyfriend got with his prime rib sandwich… They were a little mushy. However the sandwich and au jus sauce kept our taste buds so distracted we forgot the fries were even there! Good place for parties too. I will return!

Stopped by for lunch with a Groupon. We came around noon on a Sunday and we were literally the only ones there. They had a wide-variety of lunch and brunch items to choose from. I had the French dip sandwich with fries and my boyfriend had the burger. Both were extremely average. I wouldn’t bother coming back. Very mediocre.
