Hermit Woods is exceptional! The staff and owners are welcoming and kind. I was there yesterday with my friends for my Birthday. We got the new charcuterie plate with yummy cheese, meat and crackers! Then we sampled 6 of their delicious wines! I am a frequent customer and a wine club member(you should be too!) so I have tried a lot of their wines. It was fun too see how much my friends loved the wines as well! Some newer additions not to be missed are their sparkling wines and their cider! I can’t say enough good things about this place! It’s a MUST see if you find yourself in the Meredith area! Cheers!

My friends and I spontaneously decided to go into Hermit Woods after seeing a sign on the highway. Upon entry, we selected the six wine premium wine tasting and were paired with a lovely woman(and adorable dog) who guided us through the wine tasting process. Not only did we try some incredible and unique wines, but we learned so much about the wine making process, wine tasting, and general wine tips. Great find in Meredith, NH and would definitely recommend stopping by for just an hour if you happen to be driving through the area.

Lovely experience. We ended up choosing Hermit Woods as a result of a Groupon and it was certainly the right choice. It was our first wine tasting experience and won’t be our last! The staff and owners are incredibly welcoming and very enthusiastic about what they do. They were all so eager to give us a positive experience and were proud of their accomplishment as a [successful] winery. ANDTHEYSHOULDBE. They are a lively bunch, making the tour and tasting a fun, interactive and knowledgeable one. What’s interesting about Hermit Woods is they don’t just use grapes(which are the most common fruit to make wines). It was an interesting experience to taste wines made from various other fruits like blueberries, apples, and peaches. We ended up buying a bottle of the Merrill’s Wild Blue which is perfect for those of you into a drier red wine with a unique berry flavor. It’s dry but juicy! We will be returning again if we are ever in the area!(Possibly subscribing as a member to get more blueberry wine…)

My boyfriend and I came here for our first wine tasting. Wine is always my drink of choice but he usually doesn’t enjoy it. We had such a great experience and my boyfriend even ended up liking quite a few of the wines! Bob was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. We learned not only about their wines, but about wine in general and the entire wine making process. I would highly recommend a wine tasting here and definitely try the Three Honey Gold!

Super! First word that comes to mind. Three of us had the $ 7 tasting which includes a glass of six samples. They are so happy at this place and their dog is friendly, too. Very attentive and you can tell they are proud of what they have to offer. We bought several bottles and a few gifts for friends.

Used a groupon for a tour and tasting and it was wildly beyond my expectations. The facility is clean and welcoming– with a commitment to sustainability. It was a Sunday and two of the owners, Ken & Bob were on site(Bob was our tour guide). warm inviting people. The wine tasting was very educational and delicious. I highly recommend this for locals and tourists! Support Local Businesses!

First off I was super excited that this place is dog friendly, as long as your dog is nice. I happened to walk by it while visiting the cute town of Meredith with my aunt and decided to stop in. The people who work their are very friendly and welcoming. I was able to taste 6 wines and got to keep the glass for $ 5! They made my first wine tasting experience amazing! Their wines are all very flavorful and unique. Definitely something for everyone.

Loved this place. We weren’t sure if we should make this detour, but I’m glad we did. At the end of the tasting, we ended up with a couple of Meads(honey wine), but also got the heritage which is one of their full bodied red wine and their special dessert wine… passion popper, yum! This was a beautiful winery/store with a warm, inviting atmosphere. We got to meet the owners and I loved to hear such passion for their craft. I also loved that they are trying to get their fruits and honey from the local area, supporting the local farming community. We had an overall great time.

Four of us went here and we really enjoyed it. The place is well stocked, clean, and nicely decorated. Our host was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had a good and tasted some excellent wines. I personally have never been a wine fan but I enjoyed this very much. Everyone is a wine drinker and loved their wines. Definitely recommend as a place to go if your nearby at all.

First thing you notice is the beautiful space so kudos on whoever designed this space! The staff is super friendly. The wine selection is very diverse you will find something here to fit your palette. The wine tastings are informative, entertaining, reasonable and you get to keep your tasting glass. The wine prices are a tad steep but they are a small place and the product is pretty good. I cannot tell you enough how impressed I was with the staff.

We happened by chance on this quaint little winery and decided to stop in for a tasting. The place is immaculately clean, and the staff is warm and welcoming. The wines themselves were not quite to my taste, most on the dry to semi-dry side and rather tart. The were excellently crafted and matched the descriptions very well, I just prefer a not quite so tart taste. Your tastes may be different, so I’d say to definitely stop in for a tasting if you’re in the area.

This winery is great! I was visiting NH for a friends wedding and we went on a tour of the winery for her bachelorette party. First, the important stuff– This wine is unique and absolutely delicious. Unlike most small wineries, which seem to focus on producing very sweet wines, this winery has a big French influence, and uses local fruits to produce dry, crisp, flavorful wines and meads. I paid $ 20 for the tour/tasting. I got to sample 6 wines for that much, plus one downstairs whilst on the tour, and two bonus wines they threw in. They also wrapped up the glass used for the tasting and let us all take them home as souvenirs. All of the wines were tasty, the staff was classy, interesting, welcoming and entertaining. We bought three bottles, the house red, blueberry mead, and apple wine(15.3% alcohol content!!!) If you live in the area, or are just passing through– go out of your way and hit this place up. They’re doing something very cool, and I won’t be surprised at all if they’re a very big name someday.

My wife and I were driving through Meredith when I asked her to look up if there were any wineries nearby and, lo and behold, we were only a mile or so away from here. We stopped in and did the $ 7 tasting(6 pours) and had a great server – very friendly and she talked to us about all the details(we can be slight wine snobs at times, so we appreciate someone indulging that). The wine was quite good – the Petite Blue stood out, as did the honey wines(our first time having such). The entire place was clean and welcoming and it’s right on the main stretch so we were glad to have a quick«detour» on our trip. Lastly, they were nice enough to share some lunch recommendations, which we always appreciate.

In Hawaii we have limited supplies of MEADE. Whole foods carries one from Alaska called Celstial Meade which is pretty good. But we got tired of it after a few month so I went online to find something new. We found Hermit Woods when I saw a review for their BLUE Meade and decided to order one and try it. I am so glad we did! Holy cow this is good stuff! It is our new favorite MEADE! I am getting ready to order 1 of each of their other ones and can’t wait until it gets here. :)

We visited on a Sunday during a scheduled tasting. It’s a pretty property and a small-scale operation. Having visited several small wineries in the Northeast, we know it is hard to make good wines with local produce. Ken likes dry wines and does a remarkable job with blueberries, apples, crabapples, honey, elderberries, etc. Many wineries settle for fruity fruit wines, but Ken goes for the classic dry taste even with these seasonal fruits. They also make reds with California grapes. The true measure of Hermit Woods is that we left loaded with bottles, not empty-handed as has happened with other New England winery visits.
