Decent place on the island for good eats. I have had several lunch dates and even rented out the private room for group dinners. They care about where the food is sourced from and will tell you about it on their menu. Underground parking makes it easier to find a spot nearby. Right off the freeway which helps the convenience factor.

Matt from Bennett’s reached out to me after I wrote my original review. He invited me back and offered two entrees on the house but never responded to me again. I hadn’t been back since then, as I wasn’t very impressed with the whole situation, but I ended up here for brunch this past weekend because my girlfriends and I were looking for a decent meeting place that’s close to both Seattle and Bellevue. I’m going to update my review and give them another half a star. I made a reservation for four at 11, even though it looked like it wasn’t necessary. It was very quiet when we got there. Only one other table was occupied. Our server gave us these wonderful mini-scones with strawberry jam on the side for free to start. They were not warm but good nonetheless. I had maybe two and a half before my meal came. Two of my friends and I each ordered the steak and eggs, and my other friend had a tomato soup. One of my friends commented about how fatty her steak was, but I enjoyed mine. I ordered mine medium rare, and I thought it was perfectly cooked. My eggs were poached very nicely as well. Service was great! We had a good brunch. Definitely a lot better than my dinner experience once upon a time. It’s free to park in the garage, too, which is always a plus!

Mexican cuisine Mondays are worth the trip! Always great service here and don’t miss the patio for happy hour in the summer.

I like Bennett’s. I’ve been eating here since they first opened and their menu has only changed once. It’s pricier and portions are not that big but the food is good. I am a fan of their Mac n cheese(by Beecher’s), their arancini(fried risotto balls), and some of their sandwiches(BLAT! Add cheese). Their lamb burgers are not that great(too thick of a patty), their meatballs for $ 13 is overpriced and you can’t taste the cheese Kurds, salads are good but pricey and their kale salad is mostly lettuce, and I would skip the pastas. They also have a special brunch menu for the weekends. Their slaw which comes with some brunch menus and the happy hour sliders is ridiculously good. So basically, if I were you I would only come here for happy hour where everything is priced between $ 4 and $ 6. The arancini goes from $ 8 to $ 5 and they serve sliders and smaller portions of salads and Mac n cheese. They only have to waiters so sometimes it’s slow to get a table. They don’t serve bread which is kind of weird and if you ask, they bring you these weird cheese twists and charge you for it. Food comes out fast though and sometimes I can come in and walk out within 30 minutes after a decent meal on the island.

Came here last February for a 40th birthday brunch celebration for my brother’s birthday. We had a private room which was great. Food is ok, but worst part was sterile and underwhelming service and hospitality. Server spilled syrup all over my nephew and we were cleaning bulk of the mess. We asked for additional biscuits but said we’d have to order separately. Server seemed put out, never smiled and no one was welcoming. Such a letdown for a family celebration that was a special splurge.

Came here for lunch and was impressed by the food. Of course beechers cheese makes everything better but the fact that you have options on Mac n cheese is awesome. The tuna melt is also very good. First time here and I’ll be back for sure. Wait time on food was a bit slow but they were busy so understandable. Come try the Mac n cheese you won’t be disappointed. Also the side chips deserve a round of applause.

We were with a group of people and sat outside. We ordered a few different salads and burgers. The food is good. Nice to hang out here on a nice weather. The burger and the side of chips was the best. The salads were all good. My favorite salad was the beet salad. The house salad only cones in small size and there is no enter size for that salad. My friend ordered pasta and she loved it. The server was a bit confused and mixed up our bills and orders. It took him a while to figure it out but he was nice. I’ll give it another try if I go back to mercer island.

As far as MI restaurants go, Bennett’s is one of the nicer ones, and they have outdoor seating when it’s nice out. Thanks to the Beecher’s restaurant family for opening an outpost here. During brunch, the little basket of scones with honey butter are freakin’ delicious. I can eat thru one by myself. Overall, the food and service has always been consistent, and I find myself here every once in a while for brunch or happy hour. +1 for having beecher’s mac & cheese on the menu.

Bistro dining doesn’t get better than this imho. Ok, live music may add an extra punch but it’s not really needed. Conveniently located with parking across the street and in a garage next door, Bennett’s offers plenty of seating options inside and out including at the bar. Honest food(grass fed meat options, locally and sustainably raised and produced ingredients), very friendly and efficient service and a real small town atmosphere make this our favorite Sunday evening spot. Ask for the petit filet unsliced. Savor the crispy skin chicken(a carb-less feast) and enjoy their cheeseboard(including a raw milk option). Varied wine list, several beer choices. Natural soda and juices. Noise level is just right for conversation. Wonderful!

Came here for brunch with family. The food is so so, but the biscuits with raspberry jam are great. Non alcoholic beverages are limited. Seating is uncomfortable. Atmosphere is tame and quiet, like a café. I’d recommend the biscuits and gravy.
