OHLORDTHISISTHEBESTDOUGHNUTSHOPINNORTHEASTOHIO!!! Nothing compares, biagios doesn’t even come close, not at all. Spudnuts doughnuts are BIG, full of filling and best dough I’ve ever tasted. Ever. I will go out of my way 100 time of out 100 to come here. They also match other competitor coupons if you bring them in. Whattttt? Talk about service. If i move out of NE Ohio, the thing that would make me stay is the Spudnuts. Me writing about this no joke makes me want to go get Them now. BESTINNEOHIO maybe the entire state!

Apparently today is «National Just Because Day» and at my work they brought in tons of Spudnuts donuts! I’m usually not a donut eater, but I decided to channel my inner Homer Simpson and indulge in a donut. First things first, these things are huge! About the size of my hand and two inches thick. I picked one with light white icing and a very generous amount of blue sprinkles. Tasty! I think it would have been exceptionally delicious if it was warm mmm. This would be an excellent donut to soak up your coffee with. I’d actually really like to get another one and pop it in the microwave for a few seconds, but I have no plans to star on «My 600lbs Life» any time soon so I’m practicing restraint. Although nobody would have to know since I’m wearing a maxi skirt with a forgiving elastic band…

Excellent place to grab a doughnut! Large selection and they are not small in any way! Tried the maple crème filled long john and a GIANT cherry chip fritter! Both were delicious and the fritter was about the size of my head! Very friendly staff and is a good place to getaway while waiting at one of the nearby car dealerships.

I’ll be honest — I thought these guys were a bit of a myth. A friend of mine brought a box of Spudnuts with him on a trip down from NE Ohio back a few years ago, and I was surprised at how soft and tasty they were. But having never seen them since, I figured it was some kind of mirage he’d conjured up, or maybe found on the other side of the PA border. It turns out all I had to do was drive to Mentor. Open 24 hours, offering the basics(hot coffee, hot chocolate, and machine based cappucinos), the real reason you come here is the donuts, fresh and hot, available in glazed, cake, filled, and frittered variety.(There’s also some really good danishes). Prices are cheap and reasonable, and they do, in fact, keep well for a day or so before going south. If you’re up in the area, it doesn’t look like much from the outside(and to be honest, it’s pretty plain on the inside, too!), but it’s worth a stop if you’re looking for some glazed goodness.

I love independent doughnut shops! This place had a variety of doughnuts and super quick service. While it was a good doughnut I thought the doughnut was a little on the dry side. Not so pillow-y and airy as other spudnut donuts I’ve had. But it was still very delicious!

Spudnuts is by far the best local doughnuts you will find in NE Ohio. More times than not you will find fresh warm glazed doughnuts that are awesome. My favorite are the apple fritters so good and make a good cup of coffee even better. Stop by and you will glad that you did.

Great donut shop, just don’t think about how much sugar is really in them. The chocolate éclair was amazing and the maple glazed cinnamon bun was out of this world. Love coming home just because I know I’ll be stopping here.

24 hr donut shop. What more need I say? Although, my roommate suggests they build smaller doors. Since for some of their patrons, donuts are the last thing they need on this planet.

This is my favorite donut place in the world, period. I grew up in Mentor, and then moved South as a part of my job. Down there, all I can seem to find are«Krispy Kreme”-style donuts, where the dough is too sweet for my taste and there’s too much icing to boot. This place hits the spot for me: The potato bread-type dough is not nearly as sweet as Krispy Kreme, which for my taste works out well. If you like a really sweet donut, then this place might not be for you, but if you’re used to Northern style«Dunkin Donut”-type places, then I think this place beats them. They also have frequent customer cards for both coffee and donut dozens(Buy 10, get one free, etc.) — just ask for one when you order. As other reviewers have mentioned, the coffee is good for the price but not fantastic. The interior is not fancy at all, but the staff is friendly and patient as well. A good bet if you’re in the Mentor area and looking to satisfy your sweet(but not too sweet) tooth.

It’s a little different than your regular donuts. It’s a little more denser than regular donuts due to potato flour in it. Great little location. I tried several spudnuts and they are pretty good. Cannot really compare them to regular donuts because they are not.

Doughnuts made from potato flour. A little thicker, heavier than traditional doughnuts, but I like them this way. Pretty inexpensive, nice variety of flavors. I think they even have a club card for frequent shoppers. They also have very cheap(not exactly fantastic, but cheap) coffee. For some reason, lots of stray cats hanging out in the parking lot next door(like about 20 of them). If you are in PA, find doughnuts made out of mashed potatoes(i.e. fastnachts) but in a pinch, these will do.
