If I could give negative stars I would. We rebuilt a home and worked with Traditions to furnish it several years ago. We spent big money with them and purchased a sofa, 2 custom chairs, coffee tables, accessories and an expensive dining room table set w/chairs that was a custom design. The table’s finish has never been right:(It is peeling and incredibly«sticky». We haven’t used any cleaning products on it, other than a damp cloth. We dry it completely after wiping. We contacted Traditions, and the owner Roland, by mail. We asked him to also contact the table manufacturer since it’s obvious that the finish was not dried or put on properly. This table/chairs was about $ 7,000 and it looks AWFUL! He replied, via letter(so I’ve kept a copy), saying he would not refinish the table and that he contacted the manufacturer and they would not do anything either. Instead he referred us to a «refinisher» and told us we would have to bear the cost. When I contacted this«refinisher» he told me he does do some side work for Traditions but that he only does«touch-up» and would never consider refinishing an entire table. So not only would Traditions not bear any responsibility, but even their solution was incredibly flawed!!! Fast forward to a year later — as I stewed about this every day as I sat at our«sticky, peeling» table — I decided to contact the manufacturer directly. Lo and behold they had never been contacted by Traditions about my table. They sent their manufacturer’s rep out and have agreed to remake the table because it is clearly flawed. Additionally, while I paid top dollar for two chairs(over $ 4000!!) and a sofa($ 3000 more) all 3 have had problems. The sofa’s cushions are flat and not substantial enough, one of the chairs was upholstered with a fabric that is incredibly slippery on the back so that it slips away from the cushion and the cushions look very baggy. It looks like something I purchased at costco rather than the custom piece I paid thousands for. I contacted Traditions and did not receive anything.
