The sandwiches have changed and the restaurant no longer has the sandwich pizazz it used to. The Le Grand Roast Beef sandwich has devolved to a pedantic sandwich without any cheese at all, while the chefs have no idea about the difference between blue cheese(which is in the sandwich name) and ranch dressing. I’ve been a faithful fan for 20 years and I’m very sad to say I’ll never come back.

Great restaurant with the consistency of Panera Bread. The lunch line was a little long but they did a great job helping the customers. I order the Pesto Chicken and the wife ordered the Monterey Chicken Sandwich…

Twice its been over 15 min for a bagel and cream cheese. Twice its been not put into the system or even started while everyone else ahead of us and after is got their orders. Not even an apology because they are too busy to do so or any one person take responsibility

Good food. Great portions. Ok prices(but c’mon, it’s Menlo Park). I’m a sucker for the Strawberry and Mango Salad plus chicken. Staff has always been friendly and it’s a nice spot to decompress on your lunch break.

I love this place. The service is always friendly and the food is always fresh and delicious. I know it’s a chain restaurant but the manager takes pride in it and it really shows. I love the Indian Curry soup and frequently buy a family size portion to take home for dinner. Even my picky kids love that soup! The only complaint I have is that their big toaster oven sometimes breaks down and they can’t serve toasted sandwiches or bagels. It happens pretty often so you’d think they could have a simple 4 slice toaster available to use in those instances. But, no, the manager says it’s not permitted. Not their fault so I won’t dock any stars but the owner should allow this!

Came at around 11:20 and ordered two California Fresh and one vegetarian sandwich. Service was friendly and the wait time was reasonable. Everyone enjoyed their sandwich and I like the fact that a little bag of chips is thrown in. Will return.

I love leBoulanger, but this particular is way too slow — it took them 20 minutes to prepare it for one person!

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. I’ve always had great service and gotten to know a few of the employees. They’re always super sweet, helpful, and kind. The food is great and the people here are awesome!

The food is overpriced but because of the proximity I tend to go here anyway. The food is good and the portion sizes are pretty decent. I really like their breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Their soups are also very good. I especially love their parfait, it has fresh fruit and the yogurt they use is delicious. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because on my last visit I placed an order for multiple people over the phone and when I tried to pay separately they claimed they couldn’t do that. However, I’ve seen people do this and have been with friends who have ordered ahead of time, never told them we were paying separately and the split it at the counter. Not sure if they were just lazy or didn’t know how, it wasn’t busy so that wasn’t it. Also, most of the people that work there are nice, but there are a selected few who seem annoyed to be working there. Given it is in an area where I’ve witnessed the privileged overstate their entitlement and sass, but when you’re being kind to someone it is safe to say reciprocation is in order.

We were staying in a hotel quite literally right next door to here so we decided to get lunch before heading out. The staff was not too friendly but not rude, it seemed like they were just getting their job done without a smile on their faces. I got a Portabella Melt and while it tasted very good it was cold in the middle. The bag of chips and half a dill pickle was a very nice touch.

LB is a chain restaurant that serves sandwiches, soups and salads. Apparently people love this place for a quick cup of Joe and a yummy pastry too. I frequent this location since I work right in Downtown MP now. What I love about my visits is that I never go during lunch hour so it’s never packed. I go about an hour or so before noon and all you’ll see here a tine groups of cute senior citizens straight chillin out. Not the biggest fan of their soup selection. But their salads are pretty bomb. My fave is the Primavera Salad which comes with mixed greens, walnuts, dried cranberries, gorgonzola and this delicious balsamic vinaigrette. You can also add some protein at an extra cost to your salad(protein builds muscles my friends). ;)

I order the tuna melt sandwich but i have to wait more than 15 minutes, some people behind me picked up already until i ask for my sandwich and they told me because my bread have to make hot and i continue wait about 5 mins than they give me with weird attitude! If can, I wanna give no star!

Service is terrible. Ordering is pretty confusing and staff just keeps ignoring you. Janitor kept swiping the floor around me and spraying tables next to me with some chemicals while I was eating. Not something you would expect for this price. As for food quality, sandwitch tasted okay but fruits in my fruit cup were clearly stale. So I won’t be surprised if ingredients used for the sandwich were not so fresh either.

Like Cheers, Le Boulanger Menlo Park is a place«where everyone knows your name.» When we need a fast snack or lunch, it’s our goto place. Everyone working behind the counter is incredibly friendly and helpful. This Boulanger, unlike so many others, is not filled with folks simply working at their computers. People actually come in and eat and leave rather quickly. I didn’t think I would like the new menu but other than missing the Caesar salad, I’ve adapted.

Hit or miss. Pluses: sandwiches, baked goods and friendly cashiers. Minuses: salads and prep staff. Today at 5PM, I was the only customer with a pending order. After nearly 10 minutes, I looked over the counter to see what the delay was. They had not even started on my salad! Upon seeing my glare they hustled and had it to me in two minutes. Not impressed — the Cobb salad, the $ 10.50 tab or the non-chalant attitude. However, I do like their sandwiches, and unique soda dispenser.

I love coming here for their breads and lunch sandwiches. Their dutch crunch is amazing!!! My favorite sandwich is probably the turkey cranberry, which always makes me wish November was closer, closely followed by the California Fresh and the Chicken BLT. We usually pick up sandwiches from here before a long hike or road trip. On our most recent visit to Le Bou, we discovered that they don’t offer chips with the sandwiches anymore. It’s an unfortunate directive from Le Bou Corporate that i hope get changed very soon. I feel like their sandwich + chips + pickle combo was such a solid staple of their business. The sandwich + pickle just won’t cut it for me(no price reduction either). I’ll probably be back for their full loaves of dutch crunch or raisin bread. The workers here are very friendly and have always gotten my orders right.

I stopped by for lunch. I didn’t realize this location is a co-location with Peets, which is nice if you want to pick up a cup of coffee with lunch. I ordered half sandwich/half salad to go. The tuna sandwich says ‘petite’ for the combo but it’s really just half a sandwich, and its quite substantial. I never got to the salad as I was full. But it looks pretty good. It is a tad bit pricey for just a sandwich place but it tastes good and seemed fresh.

1st visit: Tried to pick up two Cream of Chicken Soup n’ Sourdough bowls. Was informed they did not have Cream of Chicken that day. Stepped aside, called my coworker to discuss, and settled on a new soup. got back in line to order again and this time was told there were no sourdough bowls. Why was that not communicated the first go through? Employees were pretty unapologetic, although the word«sorry» did slip through their lips. Left without purchasing anything. 2nd visit: Tried to order two Soup n’ Sourdoughs again. Credit card reader is down and they do not have a manual card reader. Employee was very unapologetic and did not offer any sort of solution. What business doesn’t have a backup plan for when the credit card machine goes down?

I like this place! It’s kind of on the slower side though. I like the sandwich and salad combo. They have a lot of variety as far as their lunch menu goes. And they have one of those fancy soda machines; that’s a plus. Their food is pretty fresh too. They have a lot of space for different size groups too. But like I said, they can be pretty slow. So go here if you have a little time for a chill day/long lunch. I’m pretty disappointed with their dessert selection, which is why I’ve rated it lower. I had a bear claw or something and it was not very tasty. They didn’t have any chocolaty desserts to offer. Or delicious chocolaty cookies.

Solid choice for lunch in DTMP! Lots of soup, sandwich, salad, and even pizza options. Cute décor, and good quality food! Plus a fancy soda machine! The main drawback for us was the amount of time it took to get our meal– over 20 minutes for two sandwiches and a cup of soup! We were waiting… and waiting… One other thing– why oh why do they put mustard on their tuna sandwich? And so much of it too! Ick.
