Chere Tremaine

I’ve been having Chere take care of my hair for many years, and I highly recommend her. My hair is very difficult to cut; it is thick and wavy. Not many stylists have the skills to give me a good haircut. I’ve had many bad experiences in the past with people who don’t understand how to cut my type of hair. Chere, on the other hand, is very skilled. I made the mistake of letting someone else cut my hair last year, just out of convenience (I got lazy). Boy, was that a disaster. I went running back to Chere, who kindly helped restore my hair. It took a couple of cuts to fix the mess that was made in my hair by the other «stylist.» I’m very fortunate to have Chere as my stylist and I won’t take that for granted again!

I first went to Chere to get a bad haircut from another stylist fixed – Chere’s salon was in my neighborhood and she had great reviews, and I was desperate. Luckiest bad haircut ever! She fixed my cut that day and I’ve been going to her for cut and color ever since. She is excellent at both understanding what you want to do and making that idea work with the hair you have. Outstanding colorist as well – she’s done many types of color for me and I’m always pleased with the results. She also gets high marks from my teenage son, who has thick wavy hair and will not get it cut by anyone else!

Chere has been cutting my hair for… I can’t even remember how long. She has NEVER cancelled on me, and always been to her schedule. She manages to keep me up with the latest mens hairstyles even as my hair seems to get thinner every year.

I’ve been going to Chere for cut and color for over 15 years, always with excellent results. My hair is a challenge — thick, curly and prone to split ends. Chere has created curly styles for me that were as easy as wash, product and go, as well as more polished looks, including a keratin treatment. Hair can be so stressful, that it is a relief to have a stylist who can work with what you have to give you what you want. Chere is also a highly skilled colorist. She has modified my color over time so that it still looks natural despite the increasing presence of gray. Chere is also a lovely person, which makes it a pleasure to visit her salon. She deserves 5-​stars, without question.

I came to Chere for a color correction after my former salon made my hair entirely too blonde. Chere was able to choose a sun kissed blonde that complimented my fair skin tone; she also understands how to cut my curly hair which is no small feat. Chere keeps meticulous records of whether you’re due for a full or partial color. She is a true artist and I feel so fortunate to have found her. Chere has been cutting and coloring my hair for over 20 years. From the first time I went in to see her for a consultation I knew I’d be going to her regularly. She took my color from a fake-​looking blond to a very natural, highlighted blond. She is a master with the scissors and layers my thin hair to make it look fuller and healthier.
When you sit in her chair all of her focus is on you. Before starting she spends time going over what I want in my cut and color. By doing this, nothing ever goes wrong. She never cuts too much or too little and I’ve never left with a cut that I didn’t like.
I also like the fact that Chere continues her education in the latest techniques for hair styling and color. She is warm and friendly as is the CTG salon. Because of the way Chere cuts and colors my hair, I can go 10 weeks in between color and trim. She is so talented and so appreciated. I do and always recommend Chere highly.

Chere is a wonderful colorist and hair stylist! She takes the time to listen to what you want and has the expertise to direct you to the best color and style for you. I have actually been stopped a number of times by strangers who ask where I have my hair done and I have been more than happy to direct them to Chere. I would not go to anyone else but Chere for my color!

Chere has been styling my hair since I moved to California in 1987. I will always follow her. Chere makes men and women, boys and girls look their absolute best. I feel great going to see Chere because I know my hair will be perfect when she’s done.
