I have had the exact same experiences with items not being stocked, especially those advertised. If you go in the morning of the sale, items aren’t even priced yet and employees have no clue. I just changed my strategy and rearranged my priorities — I buy what I need a season ahead of time. So, when the«holiday» is over, then I buy it on sale and save it for next year. I get to buy some really neat stuff and benefit from the unique items Michael’s carries and the store is in the neighborhood. It may not be exactly what I want, but most of the time it works out just fine and I’m happy at all the money I save on stuff I give away anyway. It just takes a 12 month cycle to reap the benefit of a little planning and scheduling holiday purchasing this way. Then I’m not disappointed and I don’t care about the rude, inattentive employees because it doesn’t matter. For things I MUST have, I use the 40% off coupons that are in the paper each Sunday. Gotta’ love a bargain! HA!

Sadly not fully stocked I have been here multiple times for a specific item to find that they don’t carry it. I think it’s a small building for all the stuff they do have. I was a little Claustrophobic in there. It also seemed a little dark inside.

This Michaels is just okay. I actually prefer the one in Hemet which is a surprise because i dont like anything else in hemet but at least there i can find things and the employees are friendly. Here in Menifee i feel like there’s no reason with the lay out of the store but worst than that I’ve never had a good customer experience. The last time i went they called me to the check stand and when i got up there the girl didn’t look and me or even acknowledge that i was standing there. She just started ringing up my stuff and continued her conversation with the young man that was standing behind the counter with her. She was saying how«this» is her last customer and she cant wait to get out of there. Which is find and dandy but«this» customer is standing right in front of you and maybe she could have finished her conversation after she was done. Young white girl with long dark hair. Very unprofessional. Even though they have everything you may need for your crafts you’re going to have to take your time looking around and deal with poor customer service

Terrible service. I went to get an original movie poster framed earlier this week with my main concern it being ready by Father’s Day. The girl who helped me the day I dropped it off was nice and reassured me it would be ready by Father’s Day and put notes to have it expedited and everything. I called today to see if it was ready and her manager answered the phone and was pretty much like, «Sorry it won’t be ready till Monday». Absolutely no feeling or concern in her voice. «Sorry you’re sh*t out of luck» was her tone. I told her what happened and she said even if there were notes in there it doesn’t matter. I told them the only reason why I went along with it was being told it would be ready by Father’s Day. I would have rather just given him the poster on Sunday instead of not having anything to give him. And if I’m paying nearly $ 200 for a service, I really don’t expect to be lied to and then have the effing manager act like it’s no big deal. Get someone in there who actually cares about the customers, please. Thank you, Michaels, for ruining Father’s Day.

Since this place opened I’ve had help from their staff on almost every single cake, painting, and gift I’ve created an cannot thank them enough for that. Last night was above and beyond the best. For the first time I needed help in their custom framing department and though I walked in with an image of what I wanted they helped layout the design, place the matting and choose a gorgeous frame to match. Thanks so much you guys, thanks to your help this is going to be a wonderful anniversary gift.

Eh… word to the wise for the employees — be cognizant of your words around customers… even if you can’t see them! I’m no angel but when it comes to customer service and retail, dropping the F*Bomb and talking about«sex positions» loudly, could potentially offend a customer. let alone, a customer with a child who may not appreciate the honest verbiage vocalizing throughout the store. Point is, there’s a time and place for such conversations… standing around the back of the store in plain sight when there aren’t any many customers in the store hurts store image. Customs and courtesies, people!!!

As lovely as big box craft stores can be, go to the ones in Temecula or Murrieta instead of this one if you can help it. This Michaels is ridiculous with not having employees to work the register or give help. The lines are unnecessarily long and it’s difficult to find someone to help locate items. Also, it’s difficult to leave the store. The only exit is blocked off and you practically have to go through the line to get to it.

They never have what I need, not because they don’t carry the item, they just don’t restock. When the checker asked if I found everything today, I told her the items I was looking for were out of stock, her answer was«oh» and that was it. What the hell did you ask for? It’s all overpriced and the workers don’t give a shit, so I’m done with this store.

Very expensive! I went in to buy supplies for my son’s school project(a castle) and dropped over $ 50! A block of 12″ x 18″ x ½″ should not cost $ 9.00. It’s foam, not a commodity. The value here is finding the craft supplies you need that Walmart/Target/etc don’t carry, but again you pay the price for it. Three stars because they have a good selection and a good layout making it easy to find what you are looking for.

Kind of small for a Michael’s and not enough people on registers… line gets kind of long. Temecula location off Ynez is better.

I was here the day they opened for their grand opening so everything was on sale! I was thrilled to have been a part of this grand opening event. The place was swamped and there were tons of goodies for sale! I ended up getting a few baking supplies, a few scrapbooking needs, and some paint supplies. The great thing about this place is that there’s so many classes offered here from painting classes to baking classes. I think that’s really great for them to encourage arts and crafts. There’s also a birthday room for people to celebrate their birthday here. I get coupons to Michaels all the time and I’ve been able to get a few of our paintings framed here for half the price. I was just in here a few days ago to get a few more vases for my plants and flowers and they were having a sale, again.
