this place is packed most of the time and I’ve gone several times in the last year. I have to say with each of the last 3 visits it’s become a below average place. Sure free popcorn and great screens, with excellent wait staff, but the food is just not cutting it and the prices are high. When you see their prices you don’t paying them if the food is excellent. It’s not. I’ll upload my «Piled High Prime Rib» sandwich. I can get piled high better at Arby’s.

Talk about a restaurant that has gone downhill. Food used to be good but now it is subpar. It took 30 minutes from order to table for the food to come. Way too long for the quality of food that we received. I ordered a taco salad that was underwhelming and lacked flavor. Worst of all, I repeatedly watched the hostess stick her hands into the french fry basket at the open kitchen to have a snack. At no time did she ever wash her hands. There was also the smell of dirty mop water in the air. I wouldn’t be surprised if we hear on the news of an E. coli breakout at this restaurant. Too bad, food used to be good and I used to like going here.

My coworker and I went here recently to meet someone over lunch. All in all, the atmosphere is nice, food is fine, and prices are reasonable for lunch. Not cheap, but not white linen dining either. I decided to get the special, which was a Cajun Fried Fish sandwich. My coworker got the tuna appetizer. The fish looked really good, and looked like it was seasoned well, but when I took at bite into it, there was no flavor. I mean none. There was no cajun flavor at all, and the bun covered up whatever hints of flavor there may have been. I would expect that for a cajun sandwich, even though we are in the land of bland in MN, there should be some pop to it. None. And, it wasn’t even salted, so it really just tasted like crispy batter in a bun. Sad. The tuna looked pretty decent when it came out, but thats about it. It was pulled from the fridge, already having been seared either that morning or the day before, so it was cold all the way through. It looked a little gray, and obviously not cooked to order. This should be simple, sear it for 20 seconds on each side, slice and serve. Done. Well, I guess pulling it from the fridge was easier. The ball of wasabi was rock hard. It was like they pre-rolled it and stuck it in the freezer to dry out. Fail. All in all, I still like Lucky’s 13, but expect bland food. Hey, the popcorn is good!

Lucky’s was pretty quiet on a Thursday afternoon, it’s a comfy pub with nice low lighting. Upon entry the hostess gave us a genuine, happy greeting and seated us down with some menus and popcorn, love it! I ordered the stacked club and a side Ceaser salad and was not disappointed in the slightest. The salad was crisp and given the perfect amount of dressing and cheese, the sandwich, massive with more than enough meat on it. Our waitress was very sweet, had the personality that puts everybody in a great mood. She was very attentive and got us refills before our drinks were out. Lucky’s should definitely be your next stop if you’re in the area.

I came here for dinner with some family. The place was pretty packed(it was around 7pm on Friday) so we opted to enjoy drinks at the bar and munch on some popcorn while we waited. The estimated wait time was 45 min but I think we were seated in 30 min or less but we weren’t in a rush either way. The place is pretty large with a really nice bar in the center. A perfect place to watch a game and grab a drink. We sat in a booth and ordered from the huge list of burgers. I had the hickory something or other burger(I can’t remember the exact name but it was a BBQ burger with bacon *drools*). The fries and burger were delicious and it was so big I took a box home and made a second meal out of it! Our server was amazing and my relatives told me they never have had a bad server here and they are always attentive of the customers. My only complaint is that it was a little hard to read the menu as our booth was pretty dark, I recommend adding some small lights to all the booths. Overall, I had a really great experience here and I plan to come back!

Beer — Don’ t come here for wide selection of local brews on tap — Surly and Summit. Best popcorn of any bar or movie theatre. Control yourself, on the popcorn, as the wide selection of food is just as good. We ordered the Cuban and the Juicy LuLu. Both were delicious. The usual mustard, on the Cuban, was left up to you to be added. The Juicy LuLu had just enough molten cheese so that it wasn’t oozing all over the plate. Eating this type of burger, with two hands, normally is not a good idea. At Lucky 13 it maybe possible. Be careful. Service was great even though the place was full. Food came out so quick we could of gotten back to work without anyone missing us — but it was Happy Hour — so another round.

This is a fun local place in quiet Mendota. Big portions, reasonably priced and a huge selection of appetizers, sandwiches, burgers and bigger meals like walleye and steaks. The food is pretty consistent. The atmosphere is great, the popcorn is free and the drinks are tasty. Bingo on Saturday and Tuesday! Come on Sundays and get the BLT Bloody Mary! It’s our family’s favorite restaurant.

I never write reveiws but I had to come back and say something about the taco salad. I love taco salads, but I’ve never had one a good as the one at lucky 13’s. It’s huge and also delicious! If you can’t decide on what to get, get the taco salad. You won’t be disappointed!

Now this is family friendly! Never in my life have I seen a real changing table in the rest room. This is incredible. And the atmosphere, hospitality and food is tremendous.

I got lucky at Lucky’s 13 Pub in Mendota. I walked in on a dreary, Tuesday night to find the patrons engaged in Bingo! My friend and I purchased Bingo cards for $ 1 each and joined the fun where I won $ 105. I have been to this location several times for its Sunday Funday with $ 3 Mimosas and all day happy hour. The breakfast menu, offered on Saturday and Sunday offers delicious choices and you will NOT leave hungry. The lunch/dinner menu is extensive and offers anything from a bowl of soup($ 5.49) to a New York Strip($ 24.99). I like the Hand Carved Sandwiches mini-sampler, priced at $ 12, because I was able to try all 3 sandwiches and it was easy to share. Other reasons to visit Lucky’s 13 Pub: free popcorn, full bar with a large u-shaped bar area, daily drink specials and Happy Hours, TVs, nice patio, Bingo on Tuesdays(7:30pm) and Saturdays(12pm), friendly service, and awesome Bloody Mary’s.

Food was really good. Great atmosphere. HORRIBLE service. The service is slow, they don’t pay attention to what’s going on at the bar. I am 1 of 5 people siting at the bar for LUNCH and I’ve been ignored almost the whole time I’ve been here. Worst customer service experience I’ve had in years!

Really great waitstaff– have never had any issues with timeliness/friendliness or refills. You get generous portions of anything you order and the place is always decorated nicely. I love that it’s a tad off the beaten path. Great boozy beverages too.

The décor is nice, but really, beware the food. I just paid twelve dollars for the chicken tenders which is really just five small pieces of over fried chicken. My friend ordered the grilled cheese. The four cheeses is really just two pieces of barely melted American. The service isn’t bad. The waitress was honest about which food is good and which to avoid, which was greatly appreciated. The drinks are generous. Bloody was decent.

Enjoy the food and the ambiance, the parking is awful! I had the rotisserie wings as an appetizer which were incredibly smokey. For the meal I opted for the French onion soup. I prefer a full slice of bread in the soup in lieu of croutons covered in cheese. Really not sure why there was a bay leaf in the individual croc, that seemed a bit gratuitous! Good point, the staff is attentive and really friendly!

First time coming here. It’s more bar food than I was expecting. The menu has a lot of items on it, but most things are not something I’d eat. I tried the hand carved prime rib sandwich that is smothered in cheese. Bad choice on my part. It’s Velveeta cheese. Yuk! Maybe I’ll choose wiser if there’s a next time. On the other hand the giant pretzel appetizer was great!

Talk about promise. Talk about high expectations… Talk about love of nachos and bar food. And now… take it down a few notches and you will not be dissapointed. If you go in expecting that the cooks know what they are doing, you will be dissapointed. So in other words… go in for the ambiance and conversation and drinks. The menu is large and has so many items that gives you some chances to eat what you want. I would never say that the food was good… Except this one time in Burnsville but ever since dissapointment and resentment followed. Their half nachos is the size of a regular large order of nachos. The normal order of nachos is the size to feed a foot ball team. I have not been back because only 1 out of 8 times has the food actually been good. I say, if you are looking for a nice bar to hang out in, sure… go on but do not expect amazing food. I do like the popcorn they provide something expected of a pub. Bring it on!

This restaurant it blows. Service sucks, and the food was awful. Also, it is expensive for what we get. We Order Buffalo chicken salad and Devil’s egg. The salad was iceberg lettuce that has turned brown, the devil’s egg has too much mustard in it. The server took our order, dumped the food and never returned until she brought the check. It was never once asked how was the food. I’ll never return there.

The food at this location is 100 times better than the luckys 13 in bloomington. That said it not a great value. The food is good, even great. But $ 13.99 for a sandwich? The Cajun chicken pasta was really good, but for $ 14 it came with a crappy little bun for bread. No butter. No salad! Many other little pub restaurants serve a Cajun chicken pasta just as good or even a little better but also give you a nicer bread and a small ceazer salad for about $ 11. The patio is nice. It’s too dark inside. The people were friendly. I’d like to go back and try more of their food as what we had was really good, but too expensive. If they’d drop their prices they could be 4 or maybe even 5 stars. But as it is they get 3. I’d go 3.5 if Unilocal allowed it. Just can’t give them 4 at those prices.

Have been past the back patio many times on the regional bike trail and we were happy to stop in on a beautiful Sunday evening for an early dinner on the back patio. Our server was excellent, smiling and accommodating and the food was delicious and arrived in larger-than-needed portions(We had the Hickory burger and the«Village(greek) salad)! The pub had great ambiance and is nicely decorated — as is the back patio! Our only issue was that the table-top for two at which we were seated had been painted with a typical latex paint that didn’t allow it to be cleaned properly and was peeling off a bit… it was therefore«sticky» to the touch(even though it had definitely been cleaned/disinfected). It(and the other small tabletops on the patio) needed/need to be covered in a cloth or have the surface replaced for a better guest experience). We’ll be back!

Yummy Yummy Yummy!!! I had never heard of this place but my BFF Terri recommended it one rainy Friday so we headed over. Server was OK-She had a lot of tables but was attentive as she could be. She suggested this amazing drink with cilantro, mint, etc. and it was a perfect choice. We also shared an appetizer of pork rinds, The server brought up popcorn as we waited for our drinks and food. The popcorn was a nice touch and probably necessary as I think the wait on Food might get a little long at busy times. Our main entrees were both different kinds of burgers and I chose tator tots for my side which were not ordinary tots! These tots had sour cream, cheese and bacon in them! Delicious!!! Prices are a little higher than your typical bar/restaurant but this place is definitely a little more classier than most bar/restaurants and the food is excellent, so it warrants it. I most definitely will be back!
