Mendon Greenhouse & Florist

Got two beautiful flower bouquets for my friend in the hospital. I only told them my price and they were above and beyond what I could have ever expected. They also had numerous other interesting and cute and personal little odds and ends to add to the bouquet. I highly recommend this florist.

The customer service was off the charts! Colleen knew exactly what she was doing and was a pleasure to be with. We ordered flowers for my wedding with 17 arrangements and a bouquet. Colleen even incorporated some of the flowers we grew. He design sense is excellent. We went for the airy wild flower look in pitchers. The entire experience was wonderful. I would recommend them in a heartbeat. Thank you!

I had my wedding personal flowers arranged and delivered by the Mendon Greenhouse and Florist. Colleen was such a pleasure to meet and plan with! She was so warm, friendly, and easy to talk to! And what I really appreciated about her was that she was very cognizant of my budget and was willing to work with me to get what I wanted while keeping the budget in mind. The flowers were also beautiful!

This is my go-​to place for flower delivery — I know, I know, they are more of a greenhouse for buying potted plants and stuff for landscaping your yard, but for the past ten years (or more?) they have been my default florist in Mendon. The ‘rents live by and I love the fact that no matter how late in the day I call they still manage to deliver Mother’s Day/​birthday bouquets. And believe me, there are a few times it’s been VERY late in the day. I also like the fact that I can call up from wherever I am in the world, give them my credit card and a price range and they can come up with a beautiful bouquet that matches the personality of my recipient (the last time I called in the person who helped me asked questions like «Is your mom wild and spontaneous or more reserved? Is your mom more of a traditional dark wood furniture kind of person or more of a wicker shabby chic floral sofa type?» when determining the vase and flower selection. As usual the vase and flowers were perfect).

I just attended a wake and got to compare the flowers I ordered to Mendon Greenhouse. Mendon Greenhouse’s arrangements are beautiful, I would give them a «10.» I was very disappointed in the arrangement that I ordered from another local florist. I would compare the quality and artistic detail of MGH’s arrangements to a Winston Flowers of Boston!!! I have added their name to my address book, so I don’t’ make the mistake of ordering from anybody else but MGF.

Received a beautiful bereavement arrangement from Mendon Greenhouse and florist after the death of my father. It was filled with pink roses, white hydrangea, white lilies and beautiful stately blesses of ireland. Unfortunately, by 24 hours half the arrangement was wilting. I tried to resuscitated it but had no success. It looked as though the foam square had been previously penetrated numerous times. Not having the ability to hold its weight in water.
Exhausted and emotional drained, I still felt compelled to call to let the florist know. They were very receptive and willing to replace it. Unfortunately, that was the case. It replacement had four white snapdragons, 2 hydrangeas, lots of carnation and fillers. So disappointed and didn’t have the energy to call again. They should of over compensated instead of under compensated. Very disappointing with the quality of work and work ethic.

I have been coming to the Mendon Greenhouse for years and love this place. The staff are extrememely helpful and knowledgeable and the selection is great. We even get our mulch delivered annually from them. They always get our business. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I will start with saying this is biased because I worked here growing up (and still do to help out) and that my mother is the manager.
That aside, the MGH really is an amazing place. If you ever have a question about ANYTHING in your lawn, garden or wildest dreams — they will either have the answer or will find one for you. Colleen (the owner) knows her stuff when it comes to problems with existing shrubs or trees in your yard. Also, if you ever want some sort of shrubbery and they don’t have it they will find it and get it for you.
The floral department is top notch. Whether it’s your wedding, a loved ones funeral, a holiday, or a ‘just because’ occasion they won’t disappoint!
