Wild Birds Unlimited Nature Shop

I have this odd fascination with birds. Its only developed within the last year or so, but nonetheless I find them simply wonderful little creatures. I stopped in here on a whim, thinking it would be fun to peruse the selection. I live downtown, and have no need or way in which I could do anything with bird feeders and the like, but thought it might be a fun trip.
I never thought you could devote one store to just bird items. I mean how many things can birds require in the way of humans. Well hell fire. This place is crazy insane, packed to the gills with bird items. Bird seed, feeders for different types of birds, wind chimes, outdoor décor and even freaking candles. Yeah, it is more of a hob knob of items. I assume they had to fill the place with other impulse buys. Why not pick up a candle in addition to your hummingbird feeder?
The staff here on my trip was incredibly knowledgeable– like knowledgeable in a way I never knew existed in the way of birds. In fact, I’d have to say you’d be hard pressed to find anywhere else with as much bird knowledge.

This is a great store if you’d like to bring birds closer to your home with nice feeders and seed. The seed is very high-​quality, with large bags of hulled sunflower seed, cashews and almonds, and more basic types of bird seed lining the store. Various feeders for hummingbirds, blue jays, and other wild birds are available, as well as some other items to bring a more zen feel to your home, like wind chimes of various sound and price, as well as soy candles (there was a buy two, get one free deal when I was there), and neat metal fans shaped like cats and insects.

We have a complete bird haven in our backyard now, thanks to Wild Birds Unlimited. They have absolutely anything and everything one could need for avid birdwatching: finch feeders, oriole feeders, regular feeders, a variety of seeds, etc. The staff is friendly and knowledgable and they send coupons in the mail regularly.
