WHY DIDN’T I CHECK Unilocal FIRST? The fact that this chiropractor is listed on Unilocal as a «weight loss center» would have been a dead giveaway.
Run, don’t walk, in the opposite direction of this building. Before I ever booked the appointment, I called and gave my insurance information, asking if my insurance covered their office visits. I was assured that it did, that they had talked with representatives at my insurance company, and that my co-​pay would be $ 25.
My husband and I both went in without acute pain or trauma, and in order to receive a routine adjustment were put through TWO office visits and a battery of «tests» (the majority of which are not covered by insurance), including multiple X-​rays. Now I’m getting phone calls from this «practice» saying that *I* need to call my insurance company because they can’t figure it out. What?!? I’ve never had a medical office of any kind ask me to contact my insurance company on their behalf. AND we have several hundred dollars of bills for treatments we NEVER would have opted for had we known they were not covered.
The office is nice enough, and they have really nice equipment which they are SUPER excited to use on you, whether it’s covered by your insurance or not.
I’d rather deal with a pain in my back than pain a little lower down … STEER CLEAR.
