The Wing Factory

Needed a quick place to stop for wings after work. Surprisingly this place was very clean (the outside area is a little less welcoming). I ordered the whole wings, fries, and fried okra. The food was great! Wings were big and delicious! The fries were actually very good with a great seasoning on it and the okra was pretty standard. The value for food was also great. What really blew the experience was the time it took to get the food. We arrived and no one was in there. In the time we waited (well over 20 minutes) two other customers got their food even though they came in after us. Next time I plan to call ahead, but I will be back!

A lot of the other popular wing spots within a couple miles are good but really inconsistent. Either they forget your order as you’re waiting for an hour or they serve you some cold, sloppy, chewy wings. there hasn’t been a time that I’ve been to wing factory and it wasn’t really good, and I’ve never been treated with anything less than complete respect. Wings have a nice, consistent crispy outside, hot and tender inside. Sauce is on point too. Bypass the hype of chings, and don’t wait 45 minutes for some wings. Go here for a more low key hot wing experience without all the smoke and mirrors.

Mom was in town while I had some contractors working on my roof. The guys left for lunch, said they were getting wings, mom asked them to bring her back a single wing because she wanted a little something but wasn’t actually hungry, but they ended up bringing her back a plate of six or eight wings (I couldn’t tell because they were massive)… Seasoned, no sauce, and soft fried was the exact order. For a woman who was supposedly not hungry, the fact that she devoured the entire plate in record time was impressive. She seriously did not stop eating those wings… not even to take a breath. But she did manage to throw the veggies my way, since she wanted nothing to interfere with this «best ever» wing experience.
The only issue I had was that my mother was here for two weeks, this experience was in the beginning of those two weeks, and she wouldn’t stop telling me she wanted those wings for the rest of her stay. So there were a few times that my truck ended up permeated by the scent of those «best ever» wings.
I did try the chicken tenders in buffalo hot. I asked the girl at the counter how hot she considered their hot, and she replied «it’s the perfect hot». And she was right. When I crave buffalo sauce, this is exactly what I’m wanting.
Just be warned… They aren’t open on Sundays, which might cause some major pouting if you happen to be trying to satisfy a newly converted wing addict.
