Beautiful spot. Ordered crab cakes. They were ok. Not $ 15 good but I get it. I’m paying for an experience. I really really liked the atmosphere though.

Always amazing food & service. This restaurant not only has very knowledgable servers, their customer service skills are like no other restaurant in Memphis! The chicken parm, pizza, and filet are my fav! *Must try the Crème Brulé with rye whiskey!!! And the wine and whiskey selection is impressive. As for the servers, they are all impressive but Brandon is one the best! Great for dates! Mature setting. Relaxing and welcoming atmosphere.

Worst place ever! we had a 7:45 reservation, which was the earliest time we could get in, even though I was hoping for earlier since I was running the marathon the next day. The hostess kept disappearing, and finally she checked us in after standing there 10 minutes. we waited, waited and waited. She came over to tell us that our table was having dessert. We waited, waited, and waited. We saw an empty high top open, but no one offered it to us. Finally at 8:25 we sat at the high top, and waited 10 minutes and no service. it was 8:35 when we left. the hostess was the rudest person I have ever seen, and service was the worst. we also saw one couple sit down and didn’t get anything for the 45 minutes we saw them sitting. do not go here!!!

Only A-Ok, service a little gauche, me a little snotty, we worked it out… no suds on my old fashioned pleeze. Shrimp speidini nice, pasta and wedge nice, cozy surroundings and close to crib and delicious recommendations on the red wine. My check was $ 76 and Pablos $ 14 — guess who the lush is here.

Great service. Wonderful Manhattan. The waitress suggested Rye with the crème brûlée for desert. It was wonderful!

Prices have increased quality has gone out the window. Wood burning oven with store bought pre made pizzas! White generic ratchet ghetto bags for your take home bottle of wine! This used to be a classy place Now it’s just basic. Great wine selection I come here only for the Fantini Sangiovese Yummy!!! Half price bottles on Mondays.

The B. B. Queen cocktail is dangerously good. Be careful. I had two that night, but I actually wanted a third. The food was ok. Not mind blowing or amazing, but not bad. I had their salmon risotto with asparagus. The salmon was cooked well, the risotto could have been helped with maybe more cheese, or some mushrooms. It need more flavor. Dessert was very average: tiramisu, cheese cake, cream brûlée. So. Great place for drinks! Get the BBQueen!

We sat in the middle of this restaurant. Middle. Not all the way in the back. I was PISSEDTHEENTIRETIMEBECAUSE I COULDNOTSEE. Have you ever sat in a closet, left the door open for light, then tried to read a menu and see your food? I did! Listen, Spindini, I get the ambience argument. But everybody isn’t on a first date. Some of us are 42 years old and we just want to see to read a menu without the iPhone flashlight and be able to identify what we’re being served. Is that too much? Anyway, there were two kids at our table, but no kids menus or options were presented. So my 10 year old who loves salmon and couldn’t be talked into a pizza ended up eating a $ 26 entrée. I’m not complaining because I ok’d it. But obviously this place is the giver of no damns about what your kids will eat. The food was pretty good, though. Meh.

I went into the restaurant for the first time, as part of a South Main Association meeting. We were served delicious appetizers during the meeting(shrimp, stuffed mushrooms, and flatbread chicken pizza), and those who were drinking alcohol seemed to enjoy their beverages. The service was good, and the management and bartenders were friendly.

I’d walked past Spindini before, while strolling S. Main, but hadn’t been in until a recent twist of fate drove us into her capable hands. Pontotoc was closed, Pearl’s Oyster House had a kitchen malfunction, and I was taking my two girlfriends out for their birthdays– dinner and Kinky Boots at the Orpheum. Just a 2 block walk from the MLGW parking garage– we popped our heads in on a Sunday night at 5:30, and they had plenty of space for us. The room is long, narrow, and dark, but doesn’t feel small. Décor is handmade glass sculpture and lights, very clean and chic. We appreciated a wine list with options, though two of us ordered whisky. Pappy for my friend, and Glenlivet for me both arrived with a huge ice cube inside, hand made with airless ice that doesn’t seem to melt. Our server, Josh, brought the calamari with marinara as well as a lemon aioli(to die for), and our crab cakes, loaded with fresh bell peppers, and so fresh they didn’t even smell like crab! These are large, sharing portions. For dinner, we all shared the eggplant rollatini(crisp and not greasy but very cheesy) with a rich sweet tomato sauce, lasagna(which we all agreed was too much meat-pork italian sausage and beef– and not enough pasta or sauce), and the white pizza, which was maybe all of our favorite. For dessert we all had a second drink and shared a Manhattan crème brûlée’, lightly infused with a citrus and bourbon flavor, with cherries baked inside. It was fantastic! Josh, our server took several photos for us and was very professional. Polite, helpful, patient, and quick. I will certainly be back with my husband for another Orpheum date night– in fact, I can’t wait!

Every time I walk by Spindini, I don’t understand why no one is ever there. The only time I see it busy is on Mondays(half price pizza and bottles. I’m a pizza-addict so of course I always order pizza. My favorite is the buffalo chicken pizza. I wish it was a part of their daily menu and not just a special. The chef has made it for me even when it wasn’t the evening special. Now that’s great service. My only complaint is from one particular evening when I was served an ice cold bottle of red wine. Red wine should NEVER be that chilled. I just waited til it warmed up a bit.

Overall an impressive dining experience. My only complaint is that Spindini is not really convenient to anything, unless you want to drive back into downtown. The restaurant was not crowded at all. I am a big fan of the cocktail menu, and I think the bartender told us they age their own whiskey? I thoroughly enjoyed the seared halibut. It was one of the best seafood dishes I’ve had out in a long time. There is parking in a lot next door, which is a big plus. Will definitely try to go back soon!

Good food & ambiance! Just very expensive, hence no 5 stars. Good place for a group! Pretty fun!

Spindini is definitely the place to be on a monday night for their half off wine and pizza specials. The crowd on the weekend is very nice as well. Spindini has a nice selection of wine and bourbons and a very good menu. I would definitely recommend Spindini for a more upscale bar and dining experience in the downtown area.

Came here with a bachelorette party for dinner before going out on Beale Street. The service was so slow! I’m not sure if we had a new server or if they just are not familiar with serving large groups — which I doubt since they are an Italian restaurant! — but we felt like we were waiting, and waiting, and waiting. I will say they have quite possibly one of the best appetizers EVER — the Tuscan Butter. Wow, what a treat — airy foccacia bread dipped in soft goat cheese mixed with marinara — a true Italian specialty. I had the wedge salad for dinner and it tasted good, but there was way too much dressing.

I’ve always been a fan of Spindini, but I’ve never been moved to write a review until now. If you ever stop in to have dinner or a drink, do yourself a favor and ask for Brandon Noe. It’s like Noël, with no L. Without question, he is the best waiter I’ve ever had in a restaurant. I had dinner with a few of my girlfriends this weekend and the service was on point, but that’s the least he had to offer. Brandon kept us laughing from start to finish. Be sure to ask about his sweet dance moves and his catchy jingles about the day’s specials. Spindini is lucky to have Brandon and I’m certain he is the reason we will go back to visit more often! Oh, and after you ask for the best waiter ever, order the goat cheese appetizer!

Ok I’m updating my review I’ve added two stars because service doesn’t suck like it used to. BUT the food and drinks are very inconsistent. Pizza was good one night and awful another night. Calamari was good one week and 2 wks later they were as hard as plastic. My friend and I order same drink, they bring both and they were really good so our other friend orders it. It was soooo different than ours that I wouldn’t call it the same drink. She added so much syrup/juice that it was red rather than very very pale pink. Same bartender 20 minutes apart! No one wants sugar water when they order alcohol.

Spindini is a fancy Italian restaurant in downtown Memphis. It’s a great place for a date. I have visited a few times. This particular visit was during the downtown trolley tour. We hit up the bar to enjoy the specials. I had a whiskey and water for only $ 4. They have a special menu for the trolley tour, which is the last Friday of every month. I even tried one of their specialty drinks, the New Fashion. Of course, food goes with drinks! We had the toasted ravioli! It was good. It came with marinara sauce. Yum Yum. We also got some fried calamari! I wish I had some now! Spindini is a fancier place in Memphis. I enjoy it. This was one of my favorite visits. I like sitting at the bar and having some of the small plates. Go there!

It was our first visit. Atmosphere was upscale and trendy. We were grabbing some dinner prior to going to the Orpheum. We had fried ravioli up front — they were tasty and the sauce was very good. We followed by sharing an order of eggplant which was cooked to perfection and the sauce was great as well. Our side of Italian Spinach was OK(my wife cooks it much better). If we had my wife’s Italian Spinach it probably could have pushed it to five stars. Service was a little slow but we did get to the Orpheum in time and they let us leave our car in the parking lot next door — nice! Overall we enjoyed our meal and plan to come back.
