Quail Ridge Golf Course

The course itself is very well maintained. Pretty open on most holes which help if your drive tends to travel off the straight and narrow sometimes. The weekends get backed up a little so get there early.
The only reason I took a star away was the rush we felt sometimes from the marshals at the tee, the turn and the back nine. We weren’t being pushed up by anybody and never saw the foursome behind us, yet we were told to pick up our pace.

Played here Aug 2013. On my first impression I wasn’t wowed by pulling up to park. But once I got checked in and was notified when to play, I was glad I stopped by here. Staff very friendly and accomodating. It cost me $ 26 w/​cart – what a deal !!!
I joined 3 regulars who graciously showed me around and gave me pertinent advice which I always appreciate. I enjoyed the layout of the course, never the same hole twice !! Being from the West Coast I didn’t particularly like the bermuda grass. This stuff sucks !!! I hit a nice drive about 230 yds out and it gently rolls into the rough. Well, from the tee it looks locatible, but when I drive up there… can’t find it. You have to be literally right on top of it to find it. Yuck !!! I thoroughly enjoyed my round with my new-​found friends. I shot a 78 w/​28 putts so I shouldn’t yell too loudly.
I found the folks here very welcoming to a «Yankee ???» For the cost and the course offered the traveler, a golfer would be a fool to miss this on their way through the Memphis area. If’n you haven’t played here, definitely stop by for a fun day.
