Absolutely some of the best pizza I have had. A must visit, if you’re in Memphis. I take my out of state coworkers to two different kinds of restaurants when they come to Memphis, BBQ restaurants, and Pyros!

It’s the chipotle of pizza. Absolutely awesome. Beer and wine available. I wish these were closer to my home.

My girlfriend and I were staying at the nearby hotel and decided to eat here. We opted to order over the phone which was a mistake. We arrived to an understaffed and busy environment. We waited at the bar to get our order. After about 5 – 10 minutes of waiting someone came to the bar and handed us our food that was already cooked and was just sitting there. I was under the impression that they don’t cook the food until you arrive but that wasn’t the case. We drove back to the hotel with cold pizza only to findout we forgot our salad. When I came back, they simply handed me the salad without apologizing. This would be a one star review but the food was decent enough to give it two stars. Good concept but bad execution. Please properly staff your restaurant.

A bit different than your average pizza place but I can get with it… Think of a chipotle style pizza place… you get to pick your own fresh toppings and they bake that bad boy in about 5 – 7 mins… crust is thin which I like… good place to switch it up… something for everybody

I eat here often when I want a healthy pizza. Thin crust and great ingredients. Affordable as well.

I think calling this a pizza place is a bit misleading. The«pizzas» are very thin — almost cracker like(they are more like a flatbread). The concept is that there’s a large variety of toppings and you can build your own. Since I refuse to acknowledge this as pizza I strayed from usual toppings and got the loaded potato — it was good. My fiancé got pepperoni and sausage and was disappointed. In my opinion it’s overpriced, I paid the same as a flatbread at seasons 52 around the corner and there I get a nicer ambience and service vs fast casual. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant clean. If you are really craving a flat bread and don’t have a lot of time by all means check it out.

I like Pyro’s. I have been here a few times and most recently came with a group from work and we were seated in the back conference room. I love that you can get anything you want on a pizza for 1 price and the pizza is a great size. They also have desserts, in which I tried the gooey cake and it was wonderful. The line took a little while to get through but its because they seem to always be busy. A few pizzas were mixed up in our group but outside of that, everything was good.

I had a build your own pizza. The toppings in the bins looked like they had been sitting there a while. 4 – 5 hours after eating there I got sick. The GI tract kind of sick. I won’t ever be going back.

I like the thin crusted pizza. There could be more toppings… They Pit Crew is rather skimpy on the toppings, you have to ask for more. This location, the staff is not really very friendly. Service is very quick. Salads leave a little something to be desired

Great place to design your own pizza. The ingredients are always fresh. Usually busy so go early. Both locations are very good.

Ran in here after a haircut at the Goulds Salon Academy. It’s brand new, to me at least. I got the thin crust snack pizza with pesto, cheese, pepperoni, sundried tomatoes, purple onion, mushrooms and black olives. Plus unsweetened iced tea. Perfect size and full of flavor. It’s a good lunch place for nearby offices. And here’s the kicker: I got out for a little over $ 9. 80)

I will say the staff is getting nicer overall which is a good sign. I have been trying more of the salads which I will say has improved my view at this restaurant. Hopefully they continue to get things better with the quality of food they serve.

The staff is friendly, the restaurant is clean and comfortable with plenty of seating inside and out. The pizza crust is thin and tasty. Overall we felt there was too much sauce, not enough cheese and toppings. The BBQ sauce was overpowering On the BBQ pizza and we ordered the Hawaiian without jalapeños but something on the pizza made it extremely spicy. The vegetables on the vegetable pizza weren’t completely cooked. It’s a neat concept, could have been that we ordered the wrong things. The salads looked great! We may try again and order differently.

For what this place is, it’ll work. I like that I get to pick my toppings on both pizza and salad! Pizza size is good and I’m ok with it being thin crust(not my favorite). The price is good also! Pizza is OK, but nothing great. Great place for families and large groups!!!

First time here and I must say it’s great! I am usually a deep dish girl but I decided to be a tad bit different for lunch today! I didn’t take any pictures as so I remembered after I took my last bite due to hunger issues! I purchased the small pepperoni with mixed cheese, breakfast, and pineapples. Oh and I got additional cheese lol fat girl status! I will definitely go back again in the future for lunch and dinner

Good pizza, just stupid design and awkward concept. I really don’t understand the concept of building your own pizza. This is not to be taken literally. It is more like standing in front of the counter at a sub shop and telling them what to put on your sandwich. In no way whatsoever have you built a sandwich. The concept of designing a pizza also seems ridiculous. People have been ordering pizzas for probably a hundred years and ordering them with their choice of toppings. That is a much smarter approach because it eliminates the long line. A party of three waited in a super long line to order. I get it. People like it, it’s popular, and there is a long line. When you get to the order counter, there is only one choice for dough. It resembles a flour tortilla. There is no talent involved since there is a machine to squash a ball of dough. There is no effort to make it circular. It is just kind of, well a shape. The good news is that you do not get a ball of dough from the freezer. Whether it is mixed in house or just trucked in mixed and proofed, I do not know. Then you have to tell them how to «design» your pizza. There is much confusion going on because while selecting your meat and yelling over the counter, someone on your right is yelling out sauce or cheese, and someone on your left is yelling out about peppers and olives. I found it very hard to order because it was just utter chaos. There are no options other than pizza or salad. Instead of breadsticks, there are these«bites» which are just an excuse for breadsticks. No wings, no sandwiches. We wanted beer and were then forced to pay first without the ability to purchase beer. We may have spent fifteen minutes in line and guess what? Now we’re in another line for beer. You will have to leave your table each and every time to wait in line for each and every beer since there are no waitresses with the ability to do that for you. You also must pay each and every time. We had a total of four transactions for lunch. Most inconvenient. The selection for beer sucks. They are trying to support local, but there is bud and michalob which I am pretty sure are not local. There were only 4 or 5 drafts and only one that I’ve even heard of. $ 4.00 for draft beer? You’ve got to be kidding me. Those are ball game prices! There was wine and I think coffee. Did not check into that. Although the three of us all ordered our pizzas in succession, they came out in some kind of crazy random order. After receiving the first one, we watched the pies go all over the dining room even to people who were behind us in line. It was several minutes to get the second, and then pies went all over the place before we received the third. The food itself came out hot and we all agreed was really good. I give five stars for the food, deduct one for the lack of choices, including beer, no choice in dough, lack of menu items, and I choose to deduct another star just for the crazy way in which the service operates. What would make this experience so much better would be to allow customers to take a seat, choose from a menu, among other foods, the pizza. There could even be a type of scorecard to fill out that they could submit to the waitress. That way people could«design»(if that’s the preferred word) their own individual pizza. Also the waitress would be responsible for providing drinks(including alcohol). This way people are not constantly walking around. They can sit the whole time and pay the waitress. This is not a foreign concept and seems to work quite well. Oh, of course, make the orders together, one at a time so they are not scattered all over the place. This is what I would gladly give five stars for. I do find it tacky to mention other businesses here, but feel free to read my other reviews. As a side note, the exposed ductwork in the ceiling looks horrible.

The concept is really cool, they had a nice variety of toppings, and the price is great. The taste of the actual crust and toppings didn’t blow me away. Good location(in a plaza with plenty of parking).

This review is way overdue. I’ve never been to a Pyro’s and I thought this place was really cool. I liked that they have a subway style make your own pizza system. I picked the sauce, cheese and toppings that I wanted and the pizza tasted delicious.

did someone say pizza? One of my favorite foods in the world. Growing up in NY i loved that big ol slice of pizza with the slight crispy crust. Now moving fwd 20 yrs later, behold, Pyros! I love the individual doughs that they roll out and its like if you were at Subways where you request for what you want to top off your pizza. I’m a simple pizza eater: Marinara sauce, Mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, mushroom topped off with basil. All the toppings that you want still for the set price around $ 8. Come in on Tuesdays and check in to receive a free 24oz drink. Love that they also have adapted the use of the Coca-Cola Freestyle. The location is very spacious and a hot spot for the lunch crowd. They serve beer and some coffee assortments as well. TVs are provided for your viewing pleasure with plenty of booths and high tops to dine in at.

Pyro’s is quickly becoming one of my favorite pizza spots. You get as many toppings as you like for one low price. The 11″ is perfect for one person but if you need a little extra the have great salads and dough bites which I think are similar to bread sticks. The location on Ridgeway even has a party room. They also have a small wine a beer collection. Pizza and a glass of wine for $ 15 not a bad deal!
