Purple Haze

Dead crowd. Decent music. Would have left a better review, but the blonde bartender could not have been more rude. Took forever to greet us, and rolled her eyes when we ordered. She couldn’t be bothered to serve, I couldn’t be bothered to bump my review up.

Jesus… where do I begin… It can be kind of a train wreck, so just be prepared.
So there’s usually drug deals going on in the bathroom (mostly coke), and if you happen to be back there during one of these business transactions, you’ll probably be threatened with your life. My suggestion is to hold it and just go in an alley or something (you’ll probably be threatened with your life there, also, so really I guess it’s your call.
The service is actually pretty good. The bartenders are fast, the drinks come out quick, and unless there’s a horde of twenty-​two year old girls with substantial cleavage at the bar, you typically won’t have to wait too long for a drink.
The dance floor is huge, and if your mood is right, you’ll have a helluva time.
Purple Haze is a great place to go when Beale Street is shutting down and you’re not quite ready to call it a night yet. When someone in your group first makes the suggestion of going there, it’s one of those places where you’ll protest for a minute, loathing yourself at the idea of going, but deep down, you know you want to. Don’t fight it. Give in, and have yourself a good time.

I come here more than I should. The service is great, the music is loud, and everyone is looking to have a hell of a time. If you’re up late this is the place to be

Zero stars. Do not go there. Had bottle service for 220. They let a bunch of random people in who didn’t pay anything for VIP access. Then when I confronted the manager about it all he got his bouncer to punch me and drag me by my neck out of the building. This place is a crappy place to go. Do not waste your time and money on a place like this

This will be a short review due to being in the place for all of 5 minutes.
Honestly should have known better than to go… way to crowded and hated the whole vibe of the place dark and kind of seedy. If you are in your 20’s and wear Affliction apparel this should be your home base.

Be careful of your money and your surroundings in this place. They will straight up slip you a Mickey in this joint. The bartenders are dirty. It is filled with the kind of low-​lives and criminals you would expect in a Bar that is open until 5AM. It has a strip club atmosphere and there are prostitutes just waiting to pounce on your wallet. Be careful!

I went here for a friend’s birthday party. When I arrived the place was empty, so I waited outside for my friends.
This place is oddly empty for a Friday night? The drinks are what you would expect. There is a nice dance floor, but the waitresses are pushy.
I have been here 3 times now… I don’t really recall a ton about each night. But I finally know how to get there without a group leading me.
I guess this place is better than 152…

I don’t understand why there aren’t any reviews of this place… I haven’t been in about a year but it was definitely a good time for the end of the night! Grabbed some munchies, danced a little bit to a DJ who played top 40’s, had some cocktails from the friendly bartender, and took some hilarious photos on the throne they have set up by the door.
