Pietro Pizza and Subs

This is probably the best pizza I’ve had in Memphis. The staff was very nice and helpful. We have a child with autism and he is something of a pizza savant and he loved it. I wish we lived closer so we could visit more often.

This is my family’s favorite pizza place for pizza delivery. But it’s hard to be a good customer when they close evenings by 7:30! I cook during the week but on weekends when my family craves pizza, we tend to eat late and want to order at 7:45 maybe even 8– but by then, Pietro’s is closed. I thought we were safe when I called at 6:30 last weekend, only to find they had ALREADY CLOSED! Quite exasperating. I wind up calling Papa John’s…

Loved everything! We took the kids out for lunch and tried the pizza, calzone and hot wings. Everything was good. The service was awesome. The owner came to our table to make sure we loved our food.

Super nice and friendly service. My husband swears their Italian sub is the best he’s ever had, and I really love their calzones. Great pizzas too!

Don’t let the outside or interior scare you away. It’s just in a strip mall and the interior is a little run down but the staff is very friendly. She recommended the Italian sub and it was AMAZING!

Great place to stop and have lunch. I usually get the calzone when I stop in. It’s definitely a bang for your buck. More than a lunch size calzone with a lunch price on it, you’ can’t beat it with a stick. And it’s really good! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a pizza joint int he area. Not the best appearance but the food and pizza is great. Try the deep fried cheese sticks too, mmm.

A great local family business that has a wonderful staff and amazing pizza! I have ordered pizza from Pietro’s at least half a dozen times. The pizza is simply amazing – some of the best in the Memphis area. The bbq chicken pizza is the best bbq chicken pizza I have ever eaten. The sauce is sweet and smoky with a ton of chicken and cheese. I absolutely love it. I am upset I did not find this place earlier. Everyone is super nice and the food is great! One of my favorite lunch stops around.

Today my Wife and I were craving a delicious fresh cheesy pizza… we searched Unilocal and decided to take a chance on this place. Thankfully we were not let down. We decided to try «the works» pizza. It was delicious! The bottom layer crust was thin but flavorful. The toppings were plentiful, several fresh ingredients in combination was undoubtedly a high quality flavor fest! A lot of pizza’s are mostly bread and a layer of sauce and cheese. This pizza had a plentiful but evenly distributed layer of toppings, sauce and cheese without too much bread.
The reason that pushed me to write this review was the friendly and patient customer service we experience here. Besides quality food this is the reason why I love to support Mom & Pop spots! Outstanding job Pietro Pizza! We’ll definitely be back!

A few quick comments from many Pietro visits:
Pizza is outstanding. It looks pricey at first, but when the last slice is gone, you have no doubt that it was worth it. BBQ chicken pizza is very good.
Meatball and Italian sub are both very good and inexpensive.
Have ordered delivery 3 times and each time the driver was at my door within 40 minutes. That is FAST delivery, especially since each time was a Friday night.

I’ve only had the pizza, it was so good I don’t think I will be able to try anything else. Best pepperoni & onion pizza ever! Super friendly as well.

This place is a gem. They have delicios pizzas, great sandwiches and very tasty pastas.
I was expecting an elderly Italian man with a long rolled up mustache cooking up all these delicious goodness, but instead there were a couple of sweet and nice ladies rolling doughs and making pizzas, sandwiches and pastas. I don’t think they were even italian but they are serving impressive food.
I love the dough, you could actually fold the slice of pizza in half and eat it. Yes!, they also make fantastic calzone.
I have yet to buy a whole pie because their slices are huge. It overlap the plate. I love the «meatza» and the «works», my son’s favorite is the spaghetti and meatballs and my wife likes the «vege» pizza. Their ingredients are fresh and you could actually taste the difference.
The ambiance Is a little dated but in a good way. I like the italian decoration and little Italian chef drawing on wall paper. Feels like your local neighborhood pizzeria.
The service is amazing and the staff are friendly. They will give any high end pizza parlor a run for there money. The great thing about this place besides great food and service is the price, very reasonable and wallet friendly.

Oh man… where do I begin?! This is probably the best pizza place I’ve ever eaten! They literally load the pizzas with toppings. Yes, it is a tad expensive compared to the chain pizza places, but you DO get what you pay for here! The quality in incomparable, and totally worth it. Plus, they deliver! I haven’t tried the other items on their menu yet, because the pizza is so flippin’ good!!!

Not only do they have the best pizza in town, they also have the best sandwiches and pasta.

Called tonight and ordered based off of Unilocal reviews. couldn’t have been more pleased. This family-​owned, local, non-​chain pizza place is good to go.
We tested the waters with a routine order. peperoni and mushroom pizza with an order of the The pizza was excellent; good sauce, just enough of it. good cheese, good pepperoni. Friendly customer service.
I dare say the wings are the BEST delivery wings we’ve ever had. hot and vinegary, my mouth is watering for them all over again. Perfectly cooked.
Okay, the restaurant itself doesn’t look like much on their website; looks can be deceiving. Order the pizza and have the pizza delivered. You will love it.

I wish I had tried Pietro’s sooner! As a Chicago native, it’s very difficult to find really good pizza in Memphis. We ordered the deluxe and all enjoyed it. Great flavor to their crispy, just-​thick-​enough crust, too.

This place was delicious. I was traveling through town for work and quickly looked up a place to eat in somewhat of a rush. I came in with 2 friends, explained our situation, and the very gracious woman working behind the desk helped us to place our orders quickly and assured us we would have our food out soon.
She was true to her word — everything was ready in minutes and it was DELICIOUS. I’m a NYC native, so I can be picky about pizza, and this was VERY GOOD. Crust on the thinner side, but not too crunchy. I had a slice of pepperoni, which was a really nice balance on the sauce, cheese, and pepperoni. My friend had a calzone which she talked about for the rest of the day. I particularly liked their tomato sauce, which is tangy and pomodoro-​y — my favorite kind. The prices aren’t bad either!
Delicious food, fast and kind service, all around really good experience. GO THERE!
