P B & J Towing

If "0" was an option, I would pick (-0). The worse towing company in the city of Memphis. They charge you $125 to get your personal belongings out of your vehicle and will hold your vehicle on purpose just to accumulate storage fees. A very unprofessional company and should banned from operations. If possible, never use their services.

We have an apartment complex and I fully appreciate what Patrick and his company go through. I know they don’t get enough credit for the work they do.
PB&J patrols our parking lot for cars that shouldn’t be there, cars that are leaking fluids (ruining our parking lot), and even run off unsavory characters in the middle of the night!
If you have a business or lot that needs attention that you cannot always give, I would highly recommend PB&J. We have been working with them for years.
They have a hard job. I’d be willing to bet that 95% of the people who they deal with are really upset and/​or rude. I appreciate the professionalism of Patrick and the other towers. They have a dangerous job and they are completely under appreciated.
I hear people complaining about «illegal towing», but it is only because they do not know the rules or do not care to abide by the rules. I have never had an issue with PB&J and the towing they do for us is NOT illegal — on the contrary, it is completely legal and THAT’S why we work with PB&J.

What Shu J. said is absolutely true about PB&J being crooks and going around looking for cars to tow– even when there is no reason. It is illegal for them to tow your car from a public street unless the police have given them permission. If that happens to you, please report them to the nearest police department. Furthermore, please (if it can at all be avoided) do not rent an apartment in a complex that has the PJ&J signs up. They patrol the grounds of those places multiple times a day looking for cars to tow, and because it is private property, they will be able to get away with it. I learned this the hard way. PB&J ARE LYING THIEVES. Avoid them and anyone who voluntarily does business with them.

These crooks towed my stepdad’s legally parked car during my engagement party. It really put a damper on my family’s night. Not to mention, we had to get friends to help transport everyone in our family back home. If you look at this company’s reputation on BBB, they have 30+ complaints of illegal towing and a D– rating. I wholeheartedly agree, and would further rate them an F. They specifically go ‘patrolling’ for cars to tow — instead of simply going out when someone complains — watch out, the next one could be yours. They are doing Memphis a disservice. My family had typical tourist plans for after the party, but their night was cut short. I wonder how many other tourists have been extorted by P B & J and now have sour memories of Memphis.
