After a long day of traveling, vegan comfort food hit the spot. I love that it is family owned and operated. The service was great.

The worst service EVER!!! The food was ok. The casserole was a little greasy and the biscuits were kinda hard but I’d be willing to give them another try if the service hadn’t been so horrible. The cashier/waitress really need some help. It wasn’t that busy but she was obviously overwhelmed.

I really, REALLY hate to write a negative review for a vegan restaurant. But, feel like it’s kind of warranted here. Also, this review is only based on service, not food. Stopped in to get take out for my drive to Chicago. Restaurant was not super busy, maybe 3 – 4 tables. I ordered and after 20 minutes, I noticed someone who was there when I arrived didn’t have their food, so started getting a little concerned. At 30 minutes, I asked how much longer. I was told 20 more minutes, so I cancelled my order. I’d have zero problem with an extended wait(and wouldn’t be writing this review) had I have been informed that the food may take a little longer than usual and given the choice to order or not. But, no one would have mentioned anything about the time at any point had I not asked. I think expecting someone to wait 50 minutes for take out as if nothing is going wrong, is a little crazy.

I love this little Vegan restaurant. I wish there was a parking lot instead of street parking, but given the location, I can’t really complain about that. Other than that, I really love the burgers!

We just got to Memphis and went here first thing. We had the vegan BBQ sandwich and nachos! So delicious. There was a great vibe there and our server was super sweet!

Very good vegan southern comfort food. Vegan brunch? Don’t mind if I do! I indulged myself with the Memphis Slam. It was one of the best vegan dishes I have ever had. I was expecting small biscuits, but there were two huge biscuits smothered in «milk» gravy, tons of cheese sauce and scrambled tofu. The meal was very satisfying and fulfilling. Although cholesterol free, this was was what I would consider a vegan version of heart-attack food. So unhealthy, but so good. With that said, there were a few reasons why I didn’t give Imagine Vegan Café 5 stars. For starters, the hash browns were clearly just heated from a frozen package. They were soggy too, not crispy. The Memphis Slam also didn’t appear to have sausage as advertised.(Unless there were tiny pieces that I didn’t notice) What turned me off most was the service. I called in an order for takeout and the woman was very short and rude on the phone. This was after calling once and having the phone ring like 20 times with no answer. No answering service or voicemail? I thought that maybe I had the wrong number, but I called back a second time and finally, someone picked up. I didn’t expect them to be so busy at 1:30 p.m. on a Sunday. It took 35 minutes for the food to be ready and even the transaction with the attendant was very cold. It was like she didn’t want to deal with anybody. I understand they may have been short staffed, but please, customer service still matters. I saw her and the other woman in the kitchen complaining while I waited and that wasn’t reassuring either. The food was delicious, but I hope that maybe my experience with poor service was just a fluke. I will be back for another perspective!

Man, ohhhh, man, ohhhh, man. This is THE spot. You don’t have to be on a vegan/vegetarian journey to enjoy this haven. It is easy to miss as it look likes a home. I love the organic nature of the establishment. It is family/kid friendly. This is the one place that I can honestly say, if you child threw a tantrum, no one would care. That is how open and inviting it is. I had the quesadilla with mushrooms and then later added the vegan chicken. The portions were so big. When they sat it down, my first thought was I will be taking this home. Welp, by the time I got done there was nothing to take home. Little Ms. Greedy couldn’t help herself. I was so excited to know that I had an option to

Love, love, love. So not healthy but the best vegan food in town. A ton of variety and total comfort food. Great staff, service is always friendly.

Food was awesome. I had the sampler which was delicious, as well as the Reuben and veggie pasta. All delicious. I also tried the pizza but didn’t care for it. The sauce wasn’t very good at all and the cheese just wasn’t for my(texturally). I will be back for sure!

The way to think about this place is, if you’re a Vegan, you’ll probably love it. If you understand the difference between good food and otherwise, you will absolutely not. Overall, the food is flat out not good. Our server was not knowledgeable about the dishes which is always upsetting. Furthermore, she tried to lie her way through it and we wound up ordering several items that were frankly gross. Be warned, lots of what they serve seems to be pre-frozen which is gross and disappointing. Guess I expected that a Vegan place would be more about natural and fresh food.

Omg!!! To die for! Amazing. And what a great little place. My mother who isn’t vegan had no idea her Ruben had no meat in it till after we got done eating. My new favorite place! The caramel pie is amazing!!!

Love the atmosphere– small, chic little place with lots of posters and stickers and hipster vibes. Everything on their menu is vegan– they make it look like an art! I had an amazing quesadilla, SOGOOD. Very flavorful. Messy, but hey, most good food is! My dad and I shared the nachos for an appetizer, but I don’t recommend– they were the equivalent of baseball park nachos(but with vegan cheese).

Great food, vegan comfort food, loved it. The décor is cute, it’s a small place. I had the chicken and waffles and they were yummy. Hubby had the chicken bacon sandwich and the bacon was so close to the real thing we almost worried. The other reviews about cleanliness are a little over dramatic in my opinion, it’s the hippie version of a southern rib shack. The building is an old house, it’s a little worn but it wasn’t dirty. I will say, I didn’t understand the use of space, they left some of the house things in the dining room and rest room, that was odd and kind of in the way. The service was friendly, Stephanie was chatty and nice but not over bearing. We’d go back. The front yard could benefit from a landscaper, but I’d totally eat there again.

Don’t let the location fool you, these $ prices fare for $$$ food. Only thing I would do differently next time is come with more room in my stomach. Their Nachos are better than dairy cheese nachos. What witchcraft is this? Also, dipping the fries in the white cheese sauce. Omfg

For a vegan restaurant, it has the one of the most perfect setups from the building itself to the atmosphere inside. Homey, natural sun light, and good vibes in general. I had the Unilocal burger here which was delicious. sautéed mushrooms, onion rings and gooey cheddar cheese resting on a vegan burger. So good. I bought myself some organic root beer to go with it. Service here is the best. Super nice but not fake. Able to help you out with anything you might want to know.

I feel like I stepped into another world when I walked in this cute little house. A world where I could listen to all the Beatles I wanted, where my daughter is fully occupied playing with the owner’s daughter, and where I could eat a vegan burger that tasted like everything I ever wanted a meat burger to be.(Epic Vegan Burger — vegan cheddar, mushrooms, sauteed onions, and fried onion rings) The burger IS the best burger I have eaten in Memphis — meat or non. The service was friendly and efficient(thanks to Emily!) The place was quirky and clean. Even the walk to the restaurant was gorgeous. I wish I lived around the corner and could be here 3 days a week. Sigh… Can’t wait to come back for the awesome looking desserts and pretty much everything else.

Vegan or not, go here because the atmosphere is great and the food is outstanding! I went for lunch on a Saturday, fairly decent crowd, but the service was good. Very extensive menu, I had the Big Stak and the garlic kale. Big Stak is a messy, filling version of a Big Mac. Of course, it was meatless: great thousand island-ish sauce. The sauteed garlic kale was AWESOME! I’m not really a kale person, but this was special. Great experience.
