I wish I had known about this shop a year ago! They had exactly what I wanted to look at. I really enjoyed browsing through their library as well as their huge selection of tarot cards. If you’re interested in occult practices I highly suggest coming to this store. You won’t be disappointed. The employees were very helpful as well.
I had a little trouble finding the shop, It was sort of hidden from the road, but I think that’s necessary because it’s such a special store!

Ebbos does have a lot of merchandise in the store. However most of it is for practitioners of hoodoo/​voodoo/​Santeria. If you follow any other path, there is not much there for you other than candles, incense and herbs — which you can find closer to home. The staff is not great. They are not helpful, and are not interested in talking to people who have questions. They assume that you know what you are doing, and hardly come out from behind the counter — unless you tell them you need herbs. Half the time when I shop there, I have to tell the person who is checking me out what it is I am buying and what the price for it was (great honor system there). Not to mention, there seems to be a spell on the place that makes people want to spend $ 50 dollars. Many of my friends and I have had fun trying to sort out this spell. So if you go in there, please put your shields up tight before getting anywhere near the door.

It had what I wanted, yes, but given my choice, I’d rather go to F&F botanica in New Orleans. Nice enough people, but not overly enthusiastic. I am still a mild hobbyist at this kind of stuff, so it helps to have someone informative. I really liked the cat though.

Excellent selection of high quality herbs and incense, not to mention crystals and similar tokens. Everyone is helpful and open to all spiritual needs, and this place has nothing but good vibes. The sweet kitty is always an added bonus.

Love love love this place. I’ve been to occult and spiritual shops all over the country — New Orleans, San Francisco, Manhattan — and I have yet to find one as good as Ebbo. Candles, incense, crystals, tarot decks, oils, books, powders — you name it, they got it.
Perhaps the best feature is the herb room. When I moved into my new place, they had every esoteric herb and root I wanted for a floor wash and powder. Very reasonable prices and a HUGE selection.
Books on many subjects, not just spellbooks or more offbeat subjects. I bought my copy of Rumi’s poems there, along with a wonderful book by Alan Watts about Zen. But if you want your copy of Book 4 or the Lesser Key of Solomon, they got all that too.
Service has always been wonderful here. The staff are very knowledgable, and the owner also offers readings in the back room. If you need a tarot reading or anything else, they can either do it for you or help you find the best place for your needs.

I’ve been going here for years. If you’re in need of tools for any sort of esoteric, magickal, or spiritual practice, you can likely find it here. Ebbo has an excellent selection of herbs, candles, incenses, stones, oils, and tools at fair prices. Their herb selection is extensive. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Also, Debbie is an excellent Tarot reader and can give you a thorough and insightful reading.

This is a good place to go if you need those tall candles that are usually red with the picture of the Virgin Mary emblazoned on the front — the have a million of those, as well as many other colors. They also happen to have supplies needed for spells if you’re into Wicca. I’ve been in there twice, and I just love walking around. They have a good selection of incense, which you’ll find is pretty cheap in price, as well as novena cards, amulets, Egyptian statuettes, spell powders, tarot cards, herbs, and a very cute tuxedo cat, sprawled in the middle of the store.
