The legend burger is delicious. I hoped they would provide more fries, but I enjoyed the burger. Glad to know it has won several Best Memphis Burgers awards.

Long story short, after a disappointing afternoon at another restaurant I decided to give this place a try. Ordered the Greek burger, which uses a lamb patty. This was a original idea from your standard beef patty, so I didn’t know what to expect. Turned out very good, with fresh ingredients and different flavors. I will come back again with a friend and try a different burger. First impressions left me with a positive that it’s off to a good start.

Burgers made to order. Eclectic burger selection, good shakes! I asked for an egg to top my burger off and it was AMAZING. I’m a VIP Burger Joint member. And I’m serious about a good burger. Service was fun, cool vibes inside as well. All around nice chill spot with good eats. Nice beer selection too.

I ordered the Wellington and ordered the combo to add fries and a drink. At checkout the cost was more than if ordered separate by 30 cents. The Wellington had good flavor but the bun was falling apart after first bite. Fries were not great. Tasted like something in the grease. Better if fresh made from skin on potatoes. The drink even was not to good.

I got the turkey burger with mushrooms and it was so salty! I ended up having to take apart my burger because I didn’t want the extra sodium. Sweet potato fries were good though!

Love this place for burgers. Their menu changes sometimes but the ingredients will always be primo. These are big high quality burgers with some trendy toppings. They are cooked on an open flame and look to be freshly made patties. I like the side options, including asparagus cooked on an open flame with a little parmesan dusting. It’s more expensive than your typical burger place but you are getting what you pay for. Highly recommended.

We ordered their«Legend» burger and it was great! We moved here from LA and have been looking for a good burger joint(that isn’t five guys). They serve regular and sweet potatoe fries and both are great! The service is pretty quick. I have yet to be disappointed.

Stopped here on a whim to eat lunch. I ordered the Wellington, my husband ordered the Greek & we shared some parmesean, garlic fries. Our total was $ 26, including sodas, which is a little pricey for burgers. All the signature burgers are ordered a la cart, no specials or combos. The location was not super busy, but only had one employee who was taking orders, cooking & clearing tables which is why about 3 tables had not been cleared. I used a wet wipe to wipe down the high chair which was sticky & mucky. I also wiped the table down where our infant son was sitting & there was something black along the metal edging on the table. I am posting a pic of the wet one after I wiped down the table edge which shows a considerable amount of black gunk. We did not wait long at all for our food. My burger was delicious & cooked to perfection(medium). The fries were also great. My husbands lamb burger was way over salted, almost inedible. I would order the Wellington again if I ever give them another chance. The restrooms were clean.

Went out for lunch on New Years Day and decided to give this place a try. I ordered the Greek and my wife had the Wellington. We shared an order of fries with garlic and Parmesan and each had a drink. Our total was $ 26, a little steep for 2 burgers. After ordering we had to find a table to sit at because most of them were dirty. That’s when I noticed there was only one employee in the place. He was taking orders, cooking, and bussing tables(when he got the chance). My burger(the Greek) was on the verge of being too salty too eat. In fact, I did not finish it. The fries were great. I tasted my wife’s(the Wellington) and it was very good! Perfectly cooked. The cashier/cook/waiter was AWESOME! It was moderately busy, but our wait time was very short! He busted his behind to make sure everyone was satisfied. I was impressed. At that price, with the lack of cleanliness, it would be difficult to get me to return.

I’m a Five Guys fan so if I go anywhere else I would be comparing. So I tried BGR and I wasn’t disappointed. Still like Five Guys better but thought that they served a good burger and tasty fries. Nowadays I need to watch my salt intake so I won’t be eating hamburgers and fries on a regular basis but when I do I’ll be sure to come here as well.

If you like the taste of an open flame in your burger, this is the place! Great tasting burger! Although the price is the only thing keeping me from rating 5 stars. Over priced. Can get a great burger at half the cost from another place. Ingredients taste very fresh and the employees are very nice and upbeat. Overall great experience.

I only came here for the sweet potato fries! The burgers are too greasy for me. They soak the buns with butter and melted cheese when I ordered the mini sliders for my sister. Not impressed, but I may come back to give the vegetarian burger a try.

I eat here from time to time and have always had a good burger but the last time there I had a great burger! It was just a cheeseburger made with cheddar but it could not have been better. I also got plain fries that were hot and crispy. I have had just about everything on the menu and I haven’t had anything I didn’t enjoy. The grilled asparagus is always a favorite

Had an hour to burn before a movie, and the gang thought this would be a good experience. Great flavors, simple concept, profit margin a tad excessive! Being in the industry and knowing food cost tends to make it difficult going out. Everyone should experience this operation once. If your on a budget and expecting a cost effective meal and think burgers and fries will be an easy on the wallet meal think again… stay home and grill it yourself! Note to management: Just because your business has the word joint in it doesn’t mean you can slack on appearance and cleanliness. 3stars for the flavors Wish this group the best of luck! You got my one time monetary donation! Lesson learned!

I eat here just about any time I’m craving a good burger. My experiences here have always been good, the food excellent, and the service great. However, there are some expectations I think one should manage: * The setting is much like a fast-food joint. Don’t expect fine dining, folks. * The soda fountain was often out of many of the drinks. Last time I was there, they had replaced the touch screen fountain with a traditional one. * They are a bit pricey. In my opinion, you get what you pay for, others probably feel it’s a bit too expensive. Who doesn’t love a good burger? I have searched all over the greater Memphis area for great burgers. Sometimes I’ve been pleased, other times I’ve been disappointed. I think this is the only burger place that constantly satisfies me. I highly recommend the Wellington.

Came in with high expectations due to their affiliation with the national BGR chain. Quickly met at the counter and my order was taken. Great staff interaction. Burger and fries hit the counter within 5 – 7 minutes. Was properly dressed and exactly as ordered. Cooked to a perfect moist medium rare with excellent exterior char and seasoning. The quality of the beef(prime dry aged) was very evident. The toppings(caramelized onions, grilled jalepenos, organic tomatoes, Provolone cheese) were quite good but didn’t overwhelm the hero of the burger, the patty. Very impressive burger, probably the best I’ve had in town. Oshi is a lot more creative with toppings, but the patty doesn’t hold a candle to the one at BGR. Fries were good thick square cut steak-style… Cooked fairly crisp. Props on having malt vinegar for them. Great chow guys. Keep it up.

It’s been a while since I’ve been there, but I did like BGR. Good burger but very messy. The buns are too small for the burger and all the toppings they put on it, and on top of that the sauces put on make it even messier. The fries were good. However, since this restaurant is in a very busy business/shopping area, it usually has a lot of traffic going in/out around lunch. My wife goes there a lot and likes it pretty well. I will say that for what you get I feel they are pretty overpriced. There are a lot of good burgers for under $ 10 out there and really I don’t think this place stacks up to them.

70% of sodas were out on Coca Cola Fusion drink machine. Ran to restroom to wash my hands before eating and room hadn’t been serviced in a while and towels were out. The gent at the counter explained the holder’s lock was broken so he couldn’t refill it. Two basic items for a restaurant and fail on both. The bill for burger, fries and drink was a bit high and everything was too salty. I think I’ll wait in line at Chipotle next time.

My family and I ate here only as a second choice because the Chipotle next door was packed! Even after briefly reading reviews I stilled stayed optimistic. As we walked in and I saw 3 people eating I should have ran! The ordering process was confusing. Some burgers could be made into a combo but others couldn’t. This place is extremely overpriced. For 3 burgers and a kids meal it was $ 40! The place was(sort of) clean. Pft, but had crazy wobbly tables. #irritating The burgers were so unbelievably salty. fries were soggy. Ugh, McDonald’s is better. So long story short, we won’t be back!
