B J’s Buffalo Style Hot Wings & Things

Disappointed. I decided to step out on a limb & try this place. We ordered boneless hotfinger basket which was 2.5 tasteless frozen breaded tenders in decent sauce. Fries are ok –dashed with seasoning salt. Environment was simple, carpet was dirty. Music playing a bit loud for lunch. I complained about the 2.5 chicken fingers rather than full 3… they made me an extra & said that one «shrunk in the fryer». Really.

Pretty lame… got the hot finger basket, which was just frozen chicken fingers covered in sauce. The fact that they use pre-​breaded frozen tenders as opposed to breading and frying their own tenders was dissapointing. The sauce was spicy, which was nice, but had no flavor. Good sauce should have both flavor and kick. The fries were decent, but a little over seasoned.
All in all it wasn’t the worst place ever, but I won’t be going back.

The wings are amazing! I haven’t tried anything else there because I can not get off the wings. Is there a rehab for food??? Please don’t sign me up! I never had wings that were better than these. I get my favorite wing sauce of all time (honey mild), even though their honey mild tastes like honey hot. Their wings are perfectly fried… I dislike chewy or too crunchy wings. The sauce is also good. I usually dip my fries and veggies in it (yeah it’s that good). Fries are fresh, hot, and seasoned right. If you like crispy/​crunchy fries you should let them know, because the fries are kind of soft.
I give 3 stars to their service. It’s like speaking with a preschooler, when calling in an order. You have to repeat your order like a million times. It’s like I’m speaking Chinese when I’m talking to whomever that takes the phone orders. There have been many times that I’ve almost hung up. The staff is courteous once you arrive, so that frustration leaves.

Amazing burgers and a special combo for wings on Mondays and Tuesdays, where the wings are $.49 each!
Burgers sell out quickly so perhaps better to call before you come, but the wings are good enough to make the drive.
