If you want to go somewhere sanitary, don’t go here! My husband and I stopped in for happy hour at the bar today before heading back to our hotel. Leah, the bartender, could have cared less that we were at the bar ready to spend money. After she finally acknowledged us, we ordered a cosmopolitan and a 2nd avenue martini. The cosmopolitan was just okay(very sweet but drinkable) however my husband’s martini came with a bug floating in it. After almost 10 minutes of goofing off with coworkers, she came close enough to us for my husband to tell her there was a bug and he wanted something else. She dismissed that he found a bug(she literally didn’t miss a beat) and agreed hesitantly to make a different martini. After that, we were ready to go but finished our drinks. In that time we then witnessed another bartender who just came on shift open a bottle of Jack Daniels by breaking the seal with her mouth/teeth…gross! Leah was also drying glasses and stacking them rim down on the bare bar top(another gross). We literally couldn’t get out of there fast enough!

Probably one of the best brunches I’ve had in Memphis! Holly was friendly and an awesome bartender. We came in on a busy Saturday at noon. However, we got our food pretty quickly. I had the Second Street Frittata… it was amazing. My best friend had the Elvis Pancakes was also delicious. The mimosas were only 2.50 a pop. Definitely coming back here soon.

Running late for breakfast we came across this place walking down the street. Place has great music and drink specials. Food was good but not great. Service was scattered. I had the blackened salmon Benedict. Hollandaise sauce was missing lemon juice it tasted like, Blackened salmon was well prepared, the poached egg was cooked through so it wasn’t runny like you would expect. My wife had the automatic omelet and potato hash which she said was good. Service was scattered. Wife ordered a mimosa and it took 20 mins to get. Didn’t get a water refill till the check came.

Love their Monday night Martinis. And the Snicker Martini is the best ! It’s a regular Monday night hangout! Though they have increased their prices a bit, it’s a difference between getting 3 martinis or 5! However, their martinis still taste great. They have an wide range of selection. Their spinach dip is also excellent! I do wish they go back to their previous martini prices!!!

Overall this restaurant was fair. I went for brunch and the food was ok, plating presentation was very poor, service was average, but the atmosphere was a great one for Sunday morning. I would definitely go here just to drink however, they have $ 2.50 mimosas and bloody Mary’s(though they are very small) and a huge mimosa bong for $ 34.

Went for Wednesday night happy hour after hearing about ½-priced martinis; unfortunately, the special was ½ price bottles of(select) wines — not a big deal, but we were hoping for martinis. Wine was fine, but it basically made the bartender obsolete — she didn’t bother to even look at us for the hour or so we stuck around. Went back for brunch before our flight, and were psyched for $ 2.50 mimosas. The Salmon Benedict was gross: It was a poorly-poached egg on a bed of clearly frozen spinach, then another layer of full spinach leaves, on a blackened salmon hunk, but without an English muffin. I don’t know if the cook forgot or what, but it sucked. I did end up ordering a side of biscuits and gravy, though, which were great! Our service was friendly and stopped by regularly, too — definitely a plus.

My favorite meal is brunch, and this place is the absolute meaning of it! I’m always looking for my next favorite brunch spot, and luckily I was able to find this lucky charm. The décor is very modern upscale and puts me in the mind of a bigger city. There were many of people waiting to be seat, but we were able to sit at the bar. Everything on the brunch menu sounded delicious, especially with me being very hungry and just returning from a flight hours before. I ordered oreo waffle and scramble eggs with cheese, and my husband had the chicken and waffles. My waffle was a bit dry… I think chocolate syrup should be added to give it more flavor. The eggs were pretty good. The chicken and waffles were really good!!! I meant fantastic! The chicken was seasoned to perfection! The raspberry butter gives it another kick. The mimosas were delicious…5 stars to the bartender that made our drinks and served us. Sundays are definitely fundays.

I usually go to Overton Square in Midtown for brunch, but today a friend recommended Automatic Slims. It. Was. AMAZING. I had the chorizo potato hash and left nothing on my plate. A friend had the salmon benedict. I had a taste and can’t wait to order it next time! Everything I tasted off friends’ plates was delicious. Plus the $ 2.50 bloodys and mimosas! We also ordered the 100 Oz mimosa bong. New favorite place! Ask for Linsdey. She was the best server ever! So cute and sweet!

This is a great place for a little hair of the dog after a night of too much fun in Memphis. Everything looked delicious and was fairly priced, and the Bloody Mary’s were so good! If you are with a big group get the mimosa tower(pictured). I got the specialty waffle(smores) and it was heavenly. Here is where this place loses a small star: I ordered a side of bacon, and it was literally 1.5 pieces… it was very strange lol I need more to stuff in my fat face! Anyway, great brunch experiment and a fun atmosphere for friends!

Drinks here are great! They have a nice cocktail list and an extensive martini list. I enjoyed the Kasey Jones drink. As far as food, we tried the fried pickles — I would pass on those next time. There were other items that sounded good so I will give the food another shot. Automatic Slims also has great daily specials on drinks throughout the week. $ 3 Martinis on Mondays and $ 3 Pints on Tuesdays.

After reading the reviews for this place, I was excited to try it. Oreo waffles?! Red Velvet Pancakes?! I’m a major foodie when it comes to brunch so I was looking forward to eating here. Unfortunately, the items were lacking when we received our food. We ordered the red velvet pancakes and the Oreo waffle and both were mediocre, at best. Something was off; there was a weird after-taste to the red-velvet pancakes(didn’t taste at ALL like anything red velvet I’ve eaten in the past) and the Oreo waffle tasted like it had been left out too long. I usually force down all my brunch food(judge me) but I couldn’t do it this time. The only saving grace were the grits that we ordered. I’m not a fan of grits in general(will never understand the South’s obsession with them) but they were actually pretty tasty. Service was okay and the ambiance of the place is nice. Wish the food was better.

Went here on a food tour and oh how I wish we’d wandered into this place sooner first of all, they have a list of about 40 different martinis. And let me endorse the flaming lily pad! It was absolutely amazing. I think I could happily live off them for the rest of my life(well if I was guaranteed no liver damage). I made sure to take a picture of the menu to see what’s in it so I can try to replicate it at a home. It’s so good. Seriously they all sounded good! If I was able I’d probably try each one. Best part was I was there for happy hour so I got this deliciousness for 5 $. Yay! If you’re not a drinker then you must absolutely try their Mac n cheese appetizer! It was fabulous. Like lots of other restaurants they had bacon in it. But it didn’t have a horrible bacon taste, not too strong I mean. And it was a perfect blend. I wanted to drown in it. Ha ha so unhealthy — drown in the cheesy goodness and live off martinis. We also had chips with blue cheese fondue and it was great. I would have loved to try more things here. It’s a super cute restaurant. It looks trendy pretty the staff is super nice. They answered my questions about the martinis and just seemed always have a smile on their face. Truly you must visit this place.

First off, the mimosa bong… awesome!!! I just wish we would have had fewer people in our group to share it with. =P I ordered the Crab Cakes Benedict. It came out in a pretty timely manner. And was really good! Slim’s has a very cool and eclectic atmosphere. Our waiter was awesome. Very friendly and accommodating. Overall, nice spot for brunch!

This is one of my favorite brunch spots in Memphis! It’s cozy and I notice something new and interesting each trip. I’ve tried a handful of menu items and I’ve never been disappointed. This particular trip, I went for the Inside Out Patty Melt. I’ve always been a big fan of this tasty conglomeration and this particular version solidified my admiration! I shared a few bites with everyone and they all loved it, too. Of course, any good brunch has a drink special! $ 2.50 for a mimosa or Bloody Mary or $ 34 for the mimosa tower. If you have a group, go for the tower! It will certainly add a little oomph to your Sunday! Oh, I’ll be back…

Automatic Slim’s gets bonus points for their cool atmosphere and wide variety of drinks. This is definitely a place to come for drinks rather than food, although I’ve heard great things about their brunch. I’ve always had outstanding service here. I always sit at the bar and the bartenders are fun to talk to and good at their jobs. The food here is good — it wouldn’t be my first dining choice for downtown, though. I will say that I did enjoy my bacon wrapped scallops and would get them again!

Choose Automatic Slims for Sunday brunch today. Service was great and they had $ 2.50 mimosas on special! That’s a deal that you can’t beat. I loved the décor in the restaurant, modern and yet vintage also. My only complain was the lack of flavor in the food. The menu had a variety of interesting options and I chose the frittata special while my boyfriend tried the chicken and waffles. Both of our plates looked great, but lacked flavor. It was not bad tasting, just not exciting. I’ll likely be back to give it another go, they have great drink specials throughout the week!

Food was great… until it came back up an hour after I had it. I had the redfish and risotto while my friend had the tuna. We each had a martini(she had a Washington a Apple and I had the Bubble Bath) and split the lobster tots. We thought the food was fine until towards the end, then everything starts going downhill. My friend notices a dead fly in her water. We tell the waitress and all she could do was laugh then tell us she will bring us more water and apologize for not having ice(apologizing for having NO ice but NOT for the fly). We notice flies in the restroom then later in the night, I get sick. Would not recommend this place nor would I return.

MIMOSABONG! The mimosa gets me everytime for brunch, and I don’t hate it. First off, I have been here with two big parties, and the staff was incredible both times. One of the waiters even remembered me from months back(probably cause I drink a lot of water). I know parties can be a hassle, but they catered to us so well both times! Y’all, you need to come here for brunch. The mimosa bong is a definite plus, but I have never tried so many entrees and liked all of them. I can’t even tell you what my favorite is. I am still discovering :)! Also if you’re a salmon love like me, please please please give theirs a try. One of the best I have ever had. I don’t know if its the coconut risotto, or the haricot verts, but their Cedar Plank Creole Salmon really hit the spot. They’re at a great location as well, and the restaurant itself is pretty cool!

Yes. Yes. Yes is all I can say about their brunch! I can’t believe I have not gone to their brunch sooner! $ 2.50 Blood Mary and Mimosas!!! $ 8 waffle/pancakes!!! A mimosa bong!!! Oh My!!! I ordered so much food because it all looked amazing! I ordered the chocolate chip pancakes but instead of the orange butter that came with it, I ordered the chocolate syrup. I also ordered the Slim Scramble cause we were brunching for 3 hours and got hungry again!(fatty) Needless to say I found a new favorite brunch spot!!!

I went her for Memphis Dining Week on 11÷19÷14. I was excited about the event menu and could not wait!!! My husband and I arrived to very nice hostesses and escorted us to our seat. 1st course comes, great salad with half off wine! 2nd course, the moment we been waiting for… blah, blah and blah! The portions should have been on the kids menu. It’s like they split a full portion, which is not that big to begin with, and served us the split halves! Disappointed in the whole ordeal. Taste was ok, desert was the best part, oreo cheesecake… MMMMMMMMM!!! We talked about returning on a regular night but was reminded of the small portions! First impressions do matter in human form and food :/
