We just had a baby and received three $ 25 gift cards. We used them each about 10 days apart, ordering the same thing each time(Three Cheese Chicken Penne and a Burger). Twice we did not receive the bread with the pasta. Once the burger did not come with fries. Twice the burger did not come with dressings. We went to this Applebees on our own accord a few times when it opened a few years ago and it was awful then as well. There are always a LOT of employees standing around not doing anything it seems yet the service is slow and there are a TON of mistakes. I have no other option but to assume the manager is the culprit. There have been too many problems in too many areas for too long. I think next time i receive gift cards I will try to sell them online or just not use them. Starving is better than dealing with this place. PLEASEREADALLREVIEWS, THEYAREMOSTLYBAD. Second time around … This time is worst than the first time. We waited a hour on our food only for our food to be incorrect ! This place need new management … Who waits 20 mins to be greeted and to get something to drink… not worth the frustration even if it’s FREE

this palce is horrible. The service is bad from the start. It took the waiter 30 minutes to come to our table. The manager has finally come to serve us. The drinks were late also. The steak is over cook. Bad experience. I don’t see how this restaurant can last too long.

This is my second time coming here to a HORRIBLE experience. The server was slow. Food was cold and prepared wrong. Manager passed the table and saw that we had been sitting forever with empty glasses and no food. Then he expected me to believe he was sincerely apologetic for errors. Never going back.

I should have listened to the other reviewers here and skipped this place. Tried to write this review once and it was deleted for lack of specifics(before I wrote, I don’t feel like writing a long review but just trust the reviews, don’t go here). So this time I will be specific. Service is bad from the moment you walk in. Went during lunchtime. It wasn’t crowded at all, but somehow it took several minutes for someone to come and seat us, or even say hello for that matter. It just went downhill from there. We ordered alcoholic drinks, I ordered the sangria and he ordered a long island Iced tea. The drinks took forever to come out, like 20 minutes. Both drinks were terrible. Mine tasted like, dishwater mixed in with fruit punch or something… bad to the point that I didn’t even want to drink it. I took one sip and set it to the side. My husbands drink was watered down. It took the server a long time to come back and take our order. When she did, told her that I didn’t really like the drink at all. She just said Oh, I’m sorry. That was it. The drink sat there on the edge of the table the rest of the meal, untouched. We had to ask for silverware. Shouldn’t that have been placed on the table to begin with? When we finally received the silverware, it was dirty. Since she was not really attentive, we also had to ask for soda and water refills. I ordered the wonton appetizer and my husband ordered a burger and fries. The food took a long time to come out, and when it did, my wontons were small, lukewarm, and hard(obviously frozen and reheated) — and the sauce with them tasted awful. The frozen lean cuisine wontons taste better than this. Husband asked for sauce. He had to ask a second time. He was halfway done with the burger by the time she finally brought it. I expressed my discontent to the waitress with the wontons(well, when she finally showed up about 30 minutes later). You think she would have offered to get me something else, comp my meal, something? Nope, absolutely nothing. Not even an apology. Since I was starving at this point, I ate some of my husband’s fries that came with his burger(the only decent thing on the table) and a few of the less hard wontons. My husband did not like the burger — he said it was dry and he also was not happy about not getting sauce promptly, but he ate the dry burger anyway. After being there for almost 2 hrs in total, we paid for the bad service, the nasty meal, and the untouched drink and left, never to return.

I just had the WORST service at this place! There was maybe one other table in there. First I ordered hot tea, waitress forgot the actual tea bags, how hard is that… Dad had to go up to where the kitchen was and tell the manager. Waitress didn’t seem too concerned with us. Then we were barely checked on the whole time. Let’s see, we got our food, that was actually good, then we never saw our waitress again. She was very forgetful and sorta not really apologetic about being awful. Maybe she had a lot on her mind? THEN, mom asked for a box and our check, I guess multitasking was too much for her b/c she forgot our check which too a really long time. WEWEREONEOFTWOTABLES. I hope there was a serious problem behind the scenes for our service to be so shitty.

when ever we go to Applebee’s, I always order steak i.e. Bourben street steak and it was no deffefwrence this time. My steak was great and so was my wife’s. Music was a little too loud for us but I’m not sure, may be I was just in more quiter mood. the staff could be more better by listening to what customer is ordering such as when ordered with no ice, there should be no ice period. but not a big deal and we will definatly be back.

It is so disappointing to have a restaurant so close to my house that has such poor service that we have to find other locations! I hardly know where to begin whether it is the odd draft area in the lobby(it actually is built to let in air away from the door) to the lack of caring by most of the staff. Whether it is a wrong order to cold food, there is always a reason to have to send your food back(and what a waste!). We always ask to speak to a manager and they all seem aware that there is vast room for improvement. I am sorry to say I won’t be back here again but I hope they figure it out.

My wife and I came in after a long day when we both decided we did’t feel like cooking and this was the first place we saw. I am so glad we stopped in when we did. Now you have to remember that this is an Applebee’s and it is a chain restaurant. You are not going to have some of the things you could get from a local restaurant. However, at this location, the one thing you will get is one of the things I am always saying is one of the most important things to me, GREAT customer service. When we came in we were immediately greeted by three people. One appeared to be a hostess who was in a very good mood, one I believe was a manager who looked like he knew he had a great team and the third ended up being our waitress who was extremely nice and efficient. The food was okay, but the service was exceptional. We will come back for the service alone.

This Places décor is 5 star… and so is the service 5 star when we went(1p Monday). Our grilled burgers were ok… but greasy, very greasy. The thin sliced onion rings on hubby’s burger were very very great too. Taste and serving size was good, plated nicely. Just too much grease… maybe I’ll order«light on the grease» next time!

The new facility was nice but a little strange in the middle of a shopping center and very clear windows. My steak was not cooked correctly… I ordered medium and it was«mooing.» Drinks took longer than I would have liked. However, the manager did help us out on the bill since we had some complaints.

UGH. I live right by here, so I’m probably here more than I should be. I’ve had some real mixed experiences here, but let me just say if I were judging this solely by my last experience, I’d be giving them one star. One quick word of warning: don’t go if the weather stinks. But, it’s an indoor restaurant, what does that have to do with anything, you ask? There’s a gap in the wall that separates the entrance/exit door and the waiting area. So if you have to wait for a table(or are unlucky enough to sit near the door) you’re going to feel a huge draft every time someone comes in or out. I can’t believe someone actually designed the wall like that. The last time I went there? The service was terrible. We waited ten minutes at least(this is in real time, not that«I waited four hours to be seated» stuff) to get our drinks, we ordered unsweet tea with lemon. We got tea yes, but no lemon. We had to ask three times for lemon. When we finally got it, it came out in one of those side condiment cups… DIRTY. It’d had some kind of white sauce in it, mayonnaise, ranch, I don’t want to know. Disgusting. I told a manager, showed it to him and everything, he apologised and brought us more lemon. Umm. Okay. Our food arrives(shockingly correct), I ask for more sauce because I was given only one teensy little cup for my chicken tenders. At least another ten minutes passes(enough time for me to eat enough chicken to use the cup I’d been given), another manager is flagged down. I mean, it’s ridiculous. Another table adjacent to me had the same waitress and I could tell they too were not pleased with their service. The time before that? I ordered chicken tenders again, I guess I’m a weirdo for not liking honey mustard, I asked when I ordered if I could have barbecue sauce. It came out with honey mustard. No big deal, I ask for barbecue, it never comes. I see our waitress walk past our table four times in the mean time, I keep trying to get her attention and she ignores me. I’ve had to cover my plate with my napkin so it won’t get cold. Not even an apology for forgetting my order. The time before that? I ordered one of their handcrafted burgers, asking for it without any pickle. I don’t like pickle. Sorry, I’m one of those customers. To be fair, I did ask beforehand if it could be done, rather than insisting they just do it. It’s one thing to eat around pickles on a sandwich(like if I get pickles on my sandwich by mistake at Chick-fil-A), but these are in the patty. Eww. I’m told despite them being handcrafted they’re premade(I guess they’re all made in the morning) and ask to speak with a manager who says yes, they’ll make one for me. I mean, it wasn’t busy. It was burnt as hell. Ugh. At least the service that time was good. The service for the most part has been severely lacking. They’ve added games to the table like Chili’s had, and word of warning, they all suck. Totally not worth the dollar spent. But it might be a good way to take out the frustration of having to wait on something. But you’d probably be better off going across the street to Chili’s, which is saying something because I don’t even really like that Chili’s. It’s a shame, I was looking forward to this Applebee’s opening, and since they did, it’s been nothing but a disappointment. The food is the only thing saving me from making this a two star rating, that and the managers do at least somewhat attempt to rectify things.

As soon as you walk into this new Applebee’s, you have to wait directly in front of the door for a hostess to seat you. While there were many employees around, there was no one to greet us when we walked in, so we stood in front of the doorway awkwardly waiting to be seated. As we stood in the doorway we noticed a upset customer talking with the manager, who said something then walked off rolling his eyes at the customer. After being seated, we ordered drinks and food. We received our appetizer before our water, approx 20 minute wait for our water. And 30 minute wait for a lemonade. There were several employees socializing around the bar, which was full of dirty glasses. We finally received our food, which was brought out by a manager not our server. The food tastes okay, I had salmon, it looked like they were running out of salmon by the size of my fish and if they were serving smaller portions. There was a long wait for refills on our water. The waitress was very nice and apologized for the long wait on drinks and food. This new Applebee’s is not off to a good start. I would not it recommend to anyone.

There is a reason there are no check-in regulars at this place! Service stinks. Food was a three out of five stars but the rest drug the entire experience down to a one star. Place was only about a third full but the response time was awful. Took us 20 min. to get a drink(water and tea not alcohol) took another 15 min. to get a mixed drink. Probably because the bartender was too busy talking on the phone and watching the game. Not a multitasker. Salad arrived with the meal and part of the management staff brought it out. He didn’t say a word about the lack of proper order. Find another location for this chain restaurant.

The service was very slow and very spotty. I could see my server socializing with other servers while I was waiting for her to refill my beverage and to bring my check. My burger and fries were too salty and were served cold. I doubt that I will go back. It is very innexpensive.

Unimpressed. The servers were more interested in interacting with each other than their customers. My beverage was refilled once… after it had been empty for ten minutes. As a matter of fact, that’s the only time my server checked on me and I’m not convinced that he remembered he had a customer. I ordered a burger and fries. The menu listed the condiments that will be included but the burger arrived with nothing on it but dripping grease… not juice, grease. The fries were too salty to enjoy. I can’t believe I forgot why I didn’t like Applebee’s the first time they were in Cordova. Unless you’re an employee or a friend of an employee, your dining experience will most likely be lacking.

OMG where do I begin, it was bad from when we were first sat, the place wasn’t crowded but they had issues on where to sit us, then they sat us at a broken table, we had to ask to be moved, they reluctantly sat us in the back where there were several servers sitting in the back eating being loud and one of the servers was asleep on the hang out table, there were more servers in this resturant then guest there to eat, We got our drinks, we ordered, simple orders and it took over 30 minutes to get our food, my husband didn’t get all of his order, more servers were hanging out in their area and they had visiting friends hanging out now, one server came over and started talking about the two managers arguing in the back office, at that time our server brought our bill, she over charged us, she had to wait to ask her manager who still in the back arguing with the other manager, so we waited, when the manager came out she asked him to change it and he brushed her off to go yell at another server, she finally came and gave us out of her own money the amout she over charged us, so needless to say she didn’t get a good tip and we will never return… Ever. Pretty sad for a new place in Cordova, they really need to crack down on their lazy employees and the corner hang out corner for the servers.
