St. Jude Research Hospital is actually located in Memphis, Tennessee, but as it is a hospital that helps children with cancer and catastrophic diseases, it has national impact. It doesn’t charge its patients a single penny for its assistance, and so it relies on donors for it to be able to complete its mission, to save children’s lives. There is a lot you can do to be involved with this organization, to help it complete its goals. As the average donation it receives is only $ 30.00, every thing you do will help the children at the hospital. This past year, I signed up to be a St. Jude Hero through the St. Jude Marathon in Memphis, Tennessee and helped to raise funds for the hospital. The organization provides a lot of support to its volunteer fundraisers, helping you to come up with ideas for your fundraising. I enjoyed the process of doing what I could to help this organization succeed. You can also sign up to be a St. Jude hero at many local Indy races including the Mini Marathon held every May and the Monumental Marathon or Half Marathon held every November.
